@@corn738loud incorrect buzzer, you can be f2p and 36 star abyss with enough time investment, artifacts are the most important for clearing content, 5 stars at c0 are enough while most of the earlier released 4 stars don't even need constellations to actually function (with the exception of Bennett c1), there many good f2p weapons that are good too most of the 5 star signatures are like only around 20-30% more damage than the f2p options and only help you have extremely comfortable clear time in terms of abyss, it's neither a skill issue nor a money issue you just need to be patient with playing the game and farm
To anyone that struggles with shooting down the Drake's wings, you don't need to do a fully charged shot, you can just spam uncharged shots until you get it.
It can be any attack, just need to hit those spots. Although aimed shot is the most obvious, quite a few characters can hit that with their E or something else.
There are some trick ways to take it down with Keqing stiletto and Yae totems but i have not been able to master either, its also usually never necessary since if those two are there then Fischls a great addition but worth knowing. Sadly i suck at mastering both of them but worth knowing its a thing if you are really into perfecting play and tricks related with either.
i love that this basically says someone who played in 1.0 can hop back on with their same teams same artifacts same weapons and still compete, its nice to have a game where old grinding doesnt become a complete waste
buddy, he had tons of constellations, R5 on most weapons, all talents leveled up, all characters maxed out, tons of skill from playing the game for years, almost perfect artifacts from months of farming AND it still took him a ton of retries, none of these things will people who played 1.0 then stopped have, dont delude yourself into thinking that this is possible by just any old 1.0 player

I started playing during 1.0, most of the time i play on bus, currently i have 66 of the 89 existent characters (20 limited 5* and some of them i have constellations). Just play the game frequently and you will get all characters that you want. Of course you won't get everyone, but nobody really likes all of them, just be selective (some characters like Xiao, Yae Miko, Ayato i regretted pulling, because i did not enjoy the playstyle and got tired quickly). My average 5* rate is 64.23 pulls, so this is not luck since the average 5* rate is 62.5 pulls.

I think what this shows most pointedly is that genshin's transformation as a series and powercreep of enemies *and* playable characters has clearly made the game more varied and fun over time. Yeah these characters are old and demonstratably still viable, and yet I imagine an overload team for Klee with Chevreuse or different sets on Keqing's supports would've made it more aligned with what a normal non-streamer player may find enjoyable. But the enemies have really grown as well! There was nothing like Wenut in 1.0, not in HP or attack style or requirement of patience. This sounds like a super fun challenge to see done in different settings, or to adjust to say, only the 1.0 range of patch's characters/weapons/artifacts can be used and nothing from launch, then only the 2.0 patch's output and nothing earlier, etc etc Anyway, loving the challenge content, can't wait to see more!
The first 2 bosses aren't designed really well for timed content though, as you are at the mercy of RNG choosing good enemy moves. Without time pressure, they're great.
@@lily-_-havent timed it but i think i do better with Furina Bennet Kazuha than mono pyro. Still Chevruse comp should be something to consider, at c0 her buff is pretty comparable to Kazuha not to mention you get rid of playing circle impact if you remove bennet ofc

Ofc these units aren’t essential, but out of those four characters the most important one was definitely nahida. Besides that, since then I’ve also used my other main team of Klee + Furina + Xingqiu (or Bennett) + Kazuha to beat in the abyss
The first two robot enemies in 12-1-1, you can group them together by running straight past them only a little in the middle and wait for them to turn. Go back towards them and by then they would run into each other so they can’t move. To keep them grouped, keep running in circles around them so they don’t have time to run away from each other.
You can also just stand between them and a little bit more to the left one (that's the rogue one that will go off and do its own thing). Start casting to get the same effect to group them up. Faster start.
This speaks to hust how OP the 1.0 4 stars, man. I know this is far from a new statement to anyone, but if it weren't for that, this challenge wouldn't be possible or even as EASY as it looks to be. Not to say that it looks "easy" easy, just easier than not.

The biggest problem is being worse than sucrose or kazuha in most cases, and big enemies (and some medium) size not being able to be pulled by it, he is still great in permafrost with ganyu (which I used to 36* the first half of this abyss), but it isn't as good as it once was.

@@Jade.051 Yeah Venti was insane in 1.0 because virtually everything they put in the Abyss could be sucked in by his ult, so you kinda just ult on hit with any swirlable DPS and that's GG you're done. The only reason he's "worse" now is because so many things resist his CC. Same reason Freeze teams are weaker now than they were in the Ganyu/Ayaka meta.
It very well tuned compare to most other gacha game. New character sure stronger, not by so much though. As long as you know what you doing it's doable.
there is definite powercreep, its just not as blatant and there is no content hard enough to make old chars irrelevant so it often feels like there is no powercreep

Nice, personally I would’ve used a classic Beidou taser team first half (Sucrose, Fischl, Beidou, Xingqiu) and then Mono Pyro on the second side with Klee, Bennett, Xiangling, Venti. Beidous damage against 2 targets is unmatched and that’s perfect for first half while Klee feels much better to use in second half since the enemies are not aggressive at all
I was just about to comment this haha. Beidou and electrocharged specifically work best in two target scenarios, taking a taser team into a single target boss just isnt as good

But maybe that's just because my laptop isn't exactly a dedicated gaming laptop so it has some lag. That plus me not being very used to navigating games with touch-typing on a keyboard make it very uncomfortable to do anything strenuous. I feel right at home doing Abyss on my phone though. And this is from someone who uses Hutao with Xianyun (jump cancel into plunge), Lyney, (charged atk on bow), Wanderer (midair sprinting back n forth to proc A4), that sort of stuff.... 😅
Idk if I should be happy that genshin powercreep isn’t so bad that old units can’t clear or sad that the hardest content in the game is beatable by day one gear 😭
I don't have a problem with the hardest content being beatable with old characters , it's the lack of content that's slowly killing this game , spiral abyss is not enough , they should really add more content/new game modes to keep players interested

I’ve been playing since 1.0 as well and am also of the same belief that this game desperately needs more end game content.. I enjoy the game still don’t get me wrong but, log in > commissions > resin > log off gets old when there’s nothing in game to do. Events don’t take long to do at all so these days I typically let the event content stack up until the last day or two just so I have something to do when I log in after the aforementioned daily cycle. I’ve most recently taken up getting 100% on the entire map and I’m almost done with that at this point so it’ll be right back to log in for 10 minutes a day and log out 🤷🏽♂️

Powercreep is still very much a thing in Genshin, that’s why using 1.0 characters is a challenge the difference here is that the power creep just makes it easier instead of outright making older characters unusable after the prologue which is usually what happens in other games. Yay for Genshin

I been working on an alt account that is 2 teams of 3, using all 4 of the starting characters. Team Lisa and MC, then Team Kaeya and Amber. Then a healer on each time. It's been fun! Your content has motivated me to do this
2things that can make it fast is 1. Since you're on 4pc tf on keqing Skill then brust then skill. The skill CD start on first skill cast so ur brust will reduce the skill CD cus of tf. It will give you more skill reset than brust - skill - skill. 2. You just need to hit the drake weak point you don't need to full charge it. Just aim at the weak spots and shot no need to fully charge. Other than that the run was amazing!!
this is a really interesting challenge... shows us how much better the character roster has progressed that even though the current abyss is not that tough.. using only 1.0 chars/artifacts/weapons makes it really hard... also i have yet seen another do similar challenge..
You should invest into learning basic animation cancels for klee... NA then charged attack is very simple, very effective, takes 15 seconds to learn, and the 2NA jump takes like 1 minute but is also effective and easy af to learn.
This guy did this challenge with the Wenut and Ruin Serpent in this abyss, props to him for that. Also chamber 2 is also whether i struggled, chamber 3 is a breeze
As I was watching, I was questioning myself with why you weren't charged attacking with Keqing, and I thought that maybe I just got used to her aggravate set ups to the point maybe the combo isn't good without it, but then you started charged attacking and you got it. Ah the intricacies of Keqing lol
you dont need to fully aim charge attack on the aeonblight dragon weak spots in order to take him down, just a aim to it and shoot, it will hit it as well

My first abyss I beat was actually with my main, which is klee, I did beat it with a more current meta overload team tho (mainly cause my monopyro was countered by resistances and such).
If you have nahida and kokomi (barbara will also work but needs to be good at dodging enemies 🥲)then pull for nilou … and Neuvellette if you don’t have any good on field dps..
Ok without watching I would imagine National on one half with Diluc Mona Jean Venti dragonstriking on second half. You'd probably need crack addict gameplay for it but it sounds doable. Every character can be used if you have C6, aptitude lvl 10, lvl 90 with great artifact and R5 weapon
that's not a challenge that's normal gameplay lol. people still use older characters

And this is from someone who uses Hutao with Xianyun (jump cancel into plunge), Lyney, (charged atk on bow), Wanderer (midair sprinting back n forth to proc A4), that sort of stuff.... 😅

I don't have a problem with the hardest content being beatable with old characters , it's the lack of content that's slowly killing this game , spiral abyss is not enough , they should really add more content/new game modes to keep players interested

Literally half of the playebase doesn't do abyss . Even at that Hoyo has manage to keep player rentetion over 3 years now ,6 millions active players daily . The monthly content they release is more than enough.

I’ve been playing since 1.0 as well and am also of the same belief that this game desperately needs more end game content.. I enjoy the game still don’t get me wrong but, log in > commissions > resin > log off gets old when there’s nothing in game to do.
Events don’t take long to do at all so these days I typically let the event content stack up until the last day or two just so I have something to do when I log in after the aforementioned daily cycle.
I’ve most recently taken up getting 100% on the entire map and I’m almost done with that at this point so it’ll be right back to log in for 10 minutes a day and log out 🤷🏽♂️

Powercreep is still very much a thing in Genshin, that’s why using 1.0 characters is a challenge the difference here is that the power creep just makes it easier instead of outright making older characters unusable after the prologue which is usually what happens in other games. Yay for Genshin

2things that can make it fast is
1.
Since you're on 4pc tf on keqing
Skill then brust then skill.
The skill CD start on first skill cast so ur brust will reduce the skill CD cus of tf.
It will give you more skill reset than brust - skill - skill.
2.
You just need to hit the drake weak point you don't need to full charge it.
Just aim at the weak spots and shot no need to fully charge.
Other than that the run was amazing!!
this is a really interesting challenge... shows us how much better the character roster has progressed that even though the current abyss is not that tough.. using only 1.0 chars/artifacts/weapons makes it really hard...
also i have yet seen another do similar challenge..

This is honestly one of the most creative genshin challenges I've seen!!
You should invest into learning basic animation cancels for klee... NA then charged attack is very simple, very effective, takes 15 seconds to learn, and the 2NA jump takes like 1 minute but is also effective and easy af to learn.
Imagine its already 4 years and you still not finished lava walker set by accident
This guy did this challenge with the Wenut and Ruin Serpent in this abyss, props to him for that.
Also chamber 2 is also whether i struggled, chamber 3 is a breeze

My first abyss I beat was actually with my main, which is klee, I did beat it with a more current meta overload team tho (mainly cause my monopyro was countered by resistances and such).
