My uncle was deported from America about in 2015 and is currently living in Phnom Sampov, Battambang. In this video series, I'll be living with him for several weeks and documenting what life is like here in his village. In today's episode, we're headed to the local market to pick up some supplies and then spending a relaxing day at home eating and drinking with family.

I love this EP so much. I hope you will make EP like making food and bring to eat at rice field. I think people live abroad miss that moment so much.

Thank you for taking us along on your visit! I’d try most of it, including the bugs! It does worry me when they say the drink is safe though, implies that there is some that isn’t! More English subtitles, please! I feel I am missing parts and UA-cam doesn’t seem to be able to fill in the blanks.

When I closed my eyes and listen to the music. I felt like I was there again, it’s been years since I’ve been back. Anyone know the name to the songs in this video?

I can’t wait to try the palm drink when I get there in August. I’m not sure if I could handle the sour one 😂.

You should drink a cup of milk first prior eating spicy food. It calms down your stomach. Thanks for sharing.

How are you supporting your self in Cambodia?! I like to know. Because there no jobs there .

    •  6 днів тому

You can't apply the same mindset that works in the West in South-East Asia, majorty of it anyway. If you think success is getting a good job, that works well in the West, a lot less effective in south-east asia.

The way the Cambodians display items for sale or food for sale still looks premature, not a good look or good encouragement.

Why majority of Cambodian immigrants failed in the U.S while other Asian immigrants from Vietnam, China and India succeeded? These people became doctors, lawyers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and earn on average higher than national median income.
It's all bogged down to mentality like you may notice here with Savi. This guy has two daughters and a wife back in the U.S, but he travels alone like an unmarried man with no kids "Honey, I'm pursuing my dream as a UA-camr, please fund me, one day I will become famous UA-camr like PewDiePie" -- what a greedy guy, that's the mentality of a failure. A responsible parent/husband would never do that, he's probably busy working to support his family. The food guy, Mark Weins, brings his wife and kid to most places and many other UA-camrs (who travel the world) are either single/no family attached or married with no kids. What a shame!
