It's really entertaining watching you piece this murder mystery together like a detective yourself. Even though I read the book before watching the movie, it was still a mystery to me as well.

I'm excited to see your reactions for Under the Red Hood and Return of the Joker, especially the latter. There are some scenes in that movie that scared the crap outta me when I was a kid

DC animation doesn't get the mainstream respect it deserves. Too many people look down on it as "just for kids" and they are sleeping on some of the best written, mind-blowing story telling out there, i.e. Akira, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Batman: The Animated Series. The Mr. Freeze episode of Batman: TAS alone is some of the best story telling I've ever seen. The writers make you sympathize with the villain, not only sympathize they make you empathize with him, you actually want HIM to succeed and not be caught by Batman.
I HIGHLY recommend Batman Gotham By Gaslight. It's a "Jack The Ripper" story and Gotham subs in for 1880's London.

Its funny how you mentioned Redhood. Because the voice actor who does Batman in this movie, did Redhoods voice in that one lol.
Barbara becomes Batgirl first. In the DCAU Timeline, after she decides to leave the superhero life behind, does become a police officer and eventually the new Commissioner Gordon in the Batman Beyond Timeline. Bruce gets too old to be Batman anymore and he gets a heart condition. A Teenager named Terry McGinnus takes up the mantle as Batman with old Bruce watching over him in the Bat cave.
Grundy is Solomon Grundy. He is a hulk version of a zombie. He was once a criminal named Cyrus Gold. He dies and his body is put in a swamp. Voodoo magic turns him into a Hulk Zombie that is greedy and talks like a caveman. In the DCAU, Mark Hamill voice him. Fred Tatiscoire voices Grundy in this. He is awesome. He normally voices Hulk for Marvel.
Actually, Hulk was largely "inspired" by Grundy.

Tis the spooky season! And Lauren does not disappoint! This is one of my favorite Batman movies!
This is one of the better DC graphic novels to film adaptations, like Frank Miller’s Return of the Dark knight. The problem with greedy WB animated releases like this is they’ll initially release it in 2 parts to make you buy both separately, then they’ll release it in a single volume a year later that costs the same price, which I prefer. It feels more like a full length 3hr movie than 2 mini flicks😎

This is a great animated movie. Part of it shows how Harvey Dent becomes Two-Face.
Red Hood it is really good because it has the story of the second Robin, Jason Todd.
You should definitely check out The Killing Joke and Batman Vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after this.

Good movie. I was pleasantly suprised by Jensen Ackles performance as Batman. This obviously strays a bit from the comic. But not enough to hinder the story. This particular story was one of the primary influences behind The Dark Knight.

Damn. I want to watch this reaction but I haven't seen this yet. If you are into Batman animation, I cannot recommend "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" enough. I really hope you'll start reacting to "Batman the Animated Series" (1992-1996). That is where Harley Quinn first appeared. Sadly the original voice actress for Harley Quinn, Arleen Sorkin, passed away this year. RIP.

@blazedonakayak1 The Dark Knight Returns (graphic novel) is the greatest Batman story ever told!
The movie is a small step down from the graphic novel.. but you can't expect an adaptation to be as good as the original!
Spoiler Alert…
Alberto was the Holiday Killer in the graphic novel and faked his death. But it’s pretty clear that he’s in fact dead in the movie. This change in the movie very surprising when I first saw it and I wasn’t sure what to expect in the part 2.

It's kind of sad how the holidays around the world have become more and more stale

Kids rang the bell maniacally in Halloween, and both Christmas and New Year were truly a joy, with all the dangerous fireworks the presents, and the family adults tipsing a little bit with a couple glasses of alcohol
It was all a hoot!
Nowadays every parent is told by the TV/MSM their kids are gonna be beheaded and appear on a CSI episode or something, if they so much as dare get off the screen for a while (stop consuming their content, ofc)
Christmas where I live is absolutely STALE/silent nowadays, and you do see the news fear-mongering 24/7 about how ONE kid, somewhere got a burn in their hand with a candle still, or something.. maybe in years prior.. fear-mongering galore
tl;dr *BAN* everything that was once fun.. limit yourself, in every way possible (unless you are part of the corrupt elite)
What a sad state of affairs, the world is currently into... 😐

YES AVY! I agree the holidays feel so lame now a days ESPECIALLY Halloween. I think it does stem from fear, I mean even when I was a kid we were told to check the candy before we ate it (which was just a smart thing to do) but now no one door knocks anymore. I used to look forward to hearing the doorbell ring and open the door to see all the cute costume ideas kids came up with. I guess people here just "Trunk or Treat" now which is... interesting to say the least. It really is a sad state of affairs BWEEEEE🥺
