Love Peter Frampton and this song, one of many on his album, one of the greatest live albums, Frampton Comes Alive which I think was his Oakland, CA concert.
This is a one of kind classic. Never ever can happen again. " Do you feel ... feel like I do?!!!" Bre, when you ♥ hear Midnight Special, expect nothing but GREATNESS!!!
So a little fun tidbit since I'm old lol - those of you who care - Frampton played lead role in a movie called Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (Beatles) and it had Steve Martin doing Silver Hammer, also featured Bee Gees soundtrack of Beatles songs....The great George Burns as well! Classic
Peter Frampton rocks! So talented! Love his Live stuff. He had some big hits. Show Me The Way, Baby I Love Your Way, Lines on my Face, I’m in You... ✌️
this was back in the days before MTV, before cable tv etc. there weren't many opportunities to see our musical heroes on tv. most shows they would get a 3 minute slot and half the time they had to Lip synch. what we did have were these late night shows Midnight Special, In Concert and Don Concert's Rock Concert on weekends. it was awesome. as for Frampton. a legend. can still play his ass off but did his final tour a year ago due to an illness. at one point he was the biggest artist on the planet and the record company tried to take advantage of his looks, make him a pop idol. it ended up bringin him to a crash...and people forgopt that first and foremost he was a KILLER GUITARIST. he recovered,!
Peter was the biggest thing then and is still huge but back then omg he was HUGE! The best guitarist and singer and best songs and WOW he was soooo Hot and his personality was sooooo fun . Only person that could work the audience like FreddyMercury
Love this song!! You missed something around the 8:24 mark though. Lol. Watch it again and listen closely to the phrase he actually says with the guitar talk box.
Yes !....I was hoping you would react to this !.....If you download this make sure you get the version from his iconic “Frampton comes Alive !” album.....Better crowd & a killer keyboard solo !
this song is so 1976, great to see this live performance, but the bomb is the audio version from the live album - they massive crowd is totally into it - please listen to (or do a reaction to, if you want) - i also love his hit single "I'm In You", a mellower love song, off the follow-up album. thx Bre!
That thing that made that sound effect he invented it patented it made a fortune , he quit music after he got married and had kids , I heard his kids had no idea he was famous until they were teenagers , he was just dad and it didn't come up
@@esabsablick5492 well I believe he invented a version of it and patented it , probably not the original but technically bell wasn't the first telephone just the first to patent '( I heard a story that bell himself worked in the patent office and held back the original telephone patent because he was working on his own and wanted to be first in the books and get rich which he did ) he certainly made it popular and nobody used it as well imo
Hey Bre! Thanks! Funny thing is this is the first time I requested this song 🤔😂. I always loved Peter Framptons music and figured what the heck, switch it up a bit. He’s actually quite popular, I’d be willing to bet you may have heard a song or two of his and didn’t know it’s him. I hope you enjoyed thanks Bre! 🤘❤️
He was the biggest rockstar then . Guys wanted to be him girls wanted to do him yup he is still to this day considered one of the best guitarists ever !
Live version off the album is better but this is pretty damn good and you get to see how awesome it is. It's sad to get older, it's like yesterday...boomers getting shade thrown at them but we did have this and 10,000 acts like it.
Oh and believe it or not there are a couple of versions of this song that I believe are better BUT one of them pushes 15 mins, and the Live Oakland might be pushing 20+ minutes Bre! 🤣. I didn’t wanna go too nuts! I have a couple of shorter bangers brewing and coming to mind lol. But you want serious energy? That Accept song 😳🎸🥁🔥⚡️🤣
Hello Miss Bree. You should listen to Eddie Van Halen doing his solos through his concerts if you like guitar solos listening to David Lee Roth with Eddie Van Halen
Great Stuff Bre

Frampton is an awesome guitarist. No autotune it's a voicebox
"We all feel like Peter Frampton"
👉💥💥💎💎👍👍👑👑❤❤
No auto tune, just a voice box, guitar and talent. Something we don't see a lot of today.
Sure don't!

The Midnight Special was SPECIAL
Dad got to be on there a few times playing Bass with Steppenwolf. Don Kirshner's Rock Concert was another cool show he was on as well as Dick Clark.
NENA. HERMOSA MUJER; T Ú
I miss those days when real musicians play live. 70s was a big music party.
And you look beautiful.
When you're happy doing what you do it makes for a wonderful life!

Saw it live! Those were the days!
Awesome reaction I hope you feel like they do. I'm there!!! Been there since the late 70's, and still there...

You need to listen to this song from"Frampton Comes Alive" album it will melt your face off it is unreal! He's using a talkbox.
Fact he married a Cincinnati girl and still live in Cincinnati and has for years.Very good album
hes lived in nashville for years hes got videos on you tube saying it has a record studio there
The tube is hooked into his guitar.... travels up to his mouth where he manipulates the sound
Well done Pete
I think this show aired right before the live album was recorded...
One of my all time favorite songs i love it. The album version is even better (Frampton Comes Alive)
Excellent request. I couldn't enjoy this with nobody but you. I hope you enjoy.
Aww I'm honored🖤💙 thank you Carl!
Auto Tune did not exist at the time. This is from the mid 70's.
Yes !....I was hoping you would react to this !.....If you download this make sure you get the version from his iconic “Frampton comes Alive !” album.....Better crowd & a killer keyboard solo !
You’ve GOT to listen to the live album version of this song....it’s amazing!
I remember that show
I used to crank this up at 3 or 4 in the morning, outside in the winter sitting in my hot tub.

Lines on my Face from the Frampton comes alive is a good one also its smooth as it gets

Pete did NOT invent the TALKBOX. But he sure did perfect how to use it.

I think the Oakland concert is the one on Frampton Comes Alive.
I know you like ZZ top. You need to check out brown sugar.
voice box that shit is before autotune :)

As a teenager in the seventies, Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert was MTV for us, all different genres of the music of the time. 😎
