I think it is important to have a balance of power in our democracy. If one party stays in power for too long, it may become complacent, corrupt or authoritarian. That is why I believe we should keep switching between BJP and Congress, or any other viable alternative, every four or five terms. Four years is not enough time to implement meaningful policies and reforms in a country as large and diverse as India. We need to give each party a fair chance to prove themselves, but also hold them accountable for their performance and promises.

UPI was when the experiment was successful and expanded to all accounts and carries and that happended in 2016 after running the pilots for 4 years ... So if UPI is a success, credit should go to Mr. Manmohan Singh and the Aadhar team. Is there a platform launched by Mr. Modi that future govts shall benefit from?
Way forward for India is through education. The manufacturing industries create a large number of rote manual jobs. With services, there is greater creativity and entrepreneurship. Along with PLI schemes, the Indian government should fund a competitive scheme to improve education in the country. A funding scheme to encourage the private sector to create new schools that will increase literacy and job related skills. High end job growth is coming, but there are not enough qualified people to take up these jobs.
what you are saying is true, but no country can have enough highly skilled service sector jobs requiring highly educated workers. Indian workforce is over a billion. high paying, highly educated service sector jobs can at most cover 1% of that.
You have to have a "Capital Markets" first Indian. Geez, you "Soviet Socialist" always put the "Cart" before the horse. When Karl Marx taught you that England was manufacturing it underwear and getting rich, what did you think they were really doing? The British was "product dumping" them into India, and Europe and in process destroying your Empires.
India will not do that. India is India. It is not a going to be an "Industrial Capitalist" proof of that India do not have any "Free Trade" agreement with any nation on earth! India has no oil pipelines, yes you want massive oil pipelines so that you can ramp up your manufacturing. Currently America has a "Free Trade agreements" with Morocco, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Japan, and Colombia. America is going build 9 oil and natural gas pipelines into Mexico alone to super charge the Mexican nation.
One word of caution Indian the more and more your nations economy grows you become heavily dependent on the Muslims oil of the Middle East. Should their be a massive "Energy Crisis" you will be forced to go to war and take the oil in the Middle East. "Oil" is the "Crack Cocaine", the "heroin" of nations, so be "Warned" now how much economic growth you want.....
I think it's other way round. Services may bring USD & may create job for that individual specific but manufacturing sector brings jobs to all & helps country lift from poverty & boosts economy. Right from patents to credit institutions, advertisements, law, transportations, manufacturing, IT support, designers, logistics everyone is employed. Its a chain of employment infact. India needs to target 4th Gen industries now. Manufacturing does not mean just low-end manual jobs. There is lot of Hi-Tech & state of the art machinery involved & also requires set of skills like any other job.Earilier Governments neglected this. but present government understands the void gaps & trying to corrct it by aatmanirbhar , skill India, mudra schemes. etc. Government is also trying to increase infrastructures for same. We are heading more towards US based economy model to larger extent of 1930-60's. We are at such stage that we have large labour force, able to manufacture & export at same time go for internal consuptions as well with population of 140 billon +
India also needs agricultural reforms. It's great to see that the share of agriculture in our gdp has shrunk, which means that other aspects of the economy are growing larger, taking up more space. However, India needs policy reforms to facilitate cultivation of cash crops, oil seeds, etc. Given environmental changes, it needs to assess whether it can import high input crops such as rice to meet its domestic demand and concentrate its existing recources elsewhere.

The indian manufacturing groth is largely attributed to screwdriver technology like assembling apple phones or back office support. Unless india gets into innovations and new technologies like AI,chip manufacturing, EVs it can't accelerate and gets into double digit groth.
It need not be the case that we go through part assembly and very rudimentary industries. There is no need to follow the Chinese model either. The Indian population can take a different route almost at every level. I would suggest India also focus more on high value, low volume goods which bring in better revenue and the margins are high. Such products are needed in almost every industry. There are many MSMEs already in India who produce this category of products in industries like aerospace/aeronautics, surgical instruments, etc. So that means we are indeed capable of such production with the talent that we have despite the beauraucratic hiccups that have plagued our economy forever.
This is possible more so today, due to the availability of reasonably priced manufacturing tools like CNC machines, etc. which can ensure a high quality output at a great price for the end customer even at low production volumes. This should be the future for India.

And now apple has started glass , lens and camera module too in india Samsung already at 25% value addition in just last 3 yrs while in china its 35-40% over 30yrs .... The most important thing for India is to keep congress out of power that is the single most important thing we need to do to become an economic power
We have succeeded doing that
We don't need to do anything for that. They themselves will take care of that...
They will 2000-5000 per month and call it nyaay
And stop development of India and start development of Congress party
I think it is important to have a balance of power in our democracy. If one party stays in power for too long, it may become complacent, corrupt or authoritarian. That is why I believe we should keep switching between BJP and Congress, or any other viable alternative, every four or five terms. Four years is not enough time to implement meaningful policies and reforms in a country as large and diverse as India. We need to give each party a fair chance to prove themselves, but also hold them accountable for their performance and promises.

You mean the documentary about Modi that was banned?!! We've all seen it, except Indians!! We are aware of the truth and it's not a GDP ranking that will make it look better
Just the Business media
I live in the US - the rest of the media is anti-India - so much religious hate in this world and we are not in the Abrahamic fold
A Muslim gets a bad look in India it is reported as Religious hate and discrimination
Anything bad happening to a minority in India it must be Hindu hate even without knowing who the perpetrators are - and of course everything is blamed on Modi
He got blamed when the incident happened in Gujarat - because he was the Chief Minister there then
Now bad things are happening in Manipur but the Chief Minister is not blamed - they blame Modi
.
Here in the US you cannot eat dog or cat meat - meat that the Chinese and Koreans eat
In Muslim countries you cannot eat Pig meat
But when India banned the sale of cow meat - the western media threw a fit!
We committed a "crime"! Muslims have nothing to eat! Discrimination!
Article after article was all about how Muslims suffer because of this - no Hindu was allowed to speak
Even though plenty of HIndus were against this law - none were interviewed!
Plenty of Muslims like this law also but again they were not allowed to speak
The western media using this event to push hate and discrimination along religious lines
And these are respected western news media - like NY Times, Washington Post, BBC!
They ALL used it to push hate!
Amazing and frightening to see this
They are growing very rapidly. I think great leadership was all they ever needed
India is development centre of all sectors now

So true especially the European ones. Just because EU doesn't have many made in India products the EU thinks India is still backward. UPI is a payments layer which sits on top of the Aadhar Infrastructure. And UPI is a natural expansion and rebranding of the USSD based payments system launched in 2012 by NPCI ... In simple terms, it was to allow financial transactions using SMS tech but with security and was limited to pilot carries and bank accounts ...
Not just UPI. We have Adhaar, Digi lock.. many other digitized services in the country and many of them offered by the Govt.
We must keep current govt in power to this kind of fast oaced growth.... Congress will pull us down to stone ages
Agri is still important bro. Develop agri-manufacture and agri-service.

thats sorta incorrect, cities like jabalpur and gwalior can even give competition to Kochi or Kollam or Madurai. But one thing i liked in south is giving employment to many people, thats the way forward. The indian manufacturing groth is largely attributed to screwdriver technology like assembling apple phones or back office support. Unless india gets into innovations and new technologies like AI,chip manufacturing, EVs it can't accelerate and gets into double digit groth.
assembling is first stepping stone for high end like china first did in 90. govt policy should be in focus for 20 yrs.
China , japan , tawian , south korea all started with screwdriver tech ....
And now apple has started glass , lens and camera module too in india
Samsung already at 25% value addition in just last 3 yrs while in china its 35-40% over 30yrs ....
So yeah the screwdriver 🪛 is showing its magic once again......high end manufacturing gonna take u nowhere except top 10% workforces,....its the toys apparels , garments and other labor intensive fields that bring wealth to rest 90% population
Chip manufacturing actually does have risks. It is very competitive and part of a very fast cyclical process. Design is where the money is, but how many can it employ? Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

The practices which should have been started by 1991 after the liberisation policy has started to grow in past 5-6 yrs which is already to late and would take up a lot of time now for more atleast 10-15 yrs or maybe 20 yrs for India to become a manufacturing hub.
