- This starts the build of the kids playhouse. I am making the base out of 4x4 and 2x6 lumber. The house is built up on stilts to allow a lower platform for hammock and sitting area.

Followed your videos of your workshop, to build my own 12'x12' version. Loved that build. Thanks for the awesome guidance!!!
Very cool! I have a new series coming out in January of a full shed build back to back.
kinda good thing to seee someone who is not a pro because im not one. this gives me an idea of what i can get done without knowing jack sh8*
Thank you! I'm going to build a similar build so this helps a lot.
I was surprised you didnt cement the legs in (spoiler alert, I am just learning) - is there a weight / reason why you would cement the legs into the ground for more stability - I am looking at building something for my 6 year old
All very well so far. The base feels strong and stiff. I have to ask my father why he didn't build me this way. Each of your projects is very interesting and I look forward to the next episodes.
It is nice and strong! Has actually been up for 2 years.
This is a great help thank you
How much did the material for this cost? Your such an amazing father of one lucky little girl! Wish my carpenter husband cared enough to do the same for our two little girls!
Seth from land to PLAYhouse! :D
Thats how I have felt for the past 2 years :) the playhouse that just keeps going.
Nice video, keep it up. I look forward to seeing the completed project. Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving!
Why did you cut the 4x4s? I'm confused
How much did all of this cost?
If adding a hammock do you not think you need to add some corner bracing. like 4x4 on a 45* under the floor?
We have actually used this hammock hang for 2 years and its doing really well! Seems very strong.
@@LandtoHouse OH OK so this is a old video just now being posted lol.
I started this project years ago and have been the ultimate procrastinator.
It would be super helpful if you had a materials list for me !!
Seth did you have to bring a wheel barrel of money for the pressure treated lumber...
Luckily the part of the playhouse series with lumber was filmed in 2019. Now the atv shed series coming out in January was $$$$$$ a single 2x8 was $18
@@LandtoHouse I have a home in north Carolina and planned and price a 12x 12 deck I wanted to do in 2019 and then COVID hit and your right the prices tripled in a few months. I'll wait till the prices go down to normal. .
@@Paulie1232 I went ahead and built my 12x17 deck and it was around 2 x the normal price for sure.
@@LandtoHouse yep and have a great Thanksgiving....
