I made my own BRN22 build. Used a Faxon barrel, Brownells bolt, Ruger BX trigger, and a Blackhawk Axiom stock. Going to my first competition with it on St. Patrick's Day.

I just built my M1 Carbine clone with parts from Brownells. I distressed my stock to make it look about 80 years old. The ghost ring sights make it complete. Thanks for the confidence to do this! I love this fun gun.

Buy a Bergara semiauto .22. It's about HALF THE PRICE--carbon fiber wrapped barrel, threaded muzzle(1/2"X28), receiver has integrated picatinny rail, etc.

I am interested in that tool box. It looks like a collaboration with Yeti coolers and a tool truck. and as such is probably guaranteed to cost 10 times what it is worth.

Great video as always. One suggestion I would make is to degrease the mounting holes and screws for the optics mounting plate. Not as much recoil as larger calibers but still a good practice to have.

Another great video! Question because I don’t know, is it recommended to not use LocTite on the V-block screws and the forward action screw? If you’re putting steel screws into an aluminum receiver I would recommend using some anti-seize on the threads. If you don’t you run the risk of galling the receiver threads.

Cool video. i have seen a few disassembling/cleaning video and I keep getting surprised that people use their fingers to spread out lubricant. I personally use a piece of cloth (same type as what one would use to clean a shotgun). My fingers stay in my cleaning gloves. I am under the impression that lubricant are not designed to be on your skin. My input for 2 cents.

Not bad but try to hold the sear/bolt back after cycling open and slowly close but hold open like there is a bullet that hasn't fed into the chamber right and pull the trigger ,that particular design will allow bullet to be struck when out of battery .most would say that it's only a 22 but safety precautions should always be worn ,glasses ,earplugs and don't forget the little yellow range guard

On some Rugers (many) it is perfectly fine BUT, try not to make it a habit or do it at all really. You may forget you're not using a Ruger that particular time and a pin slamming into the back of a breach can destroy it. So they not to do it at all.

You obviously have never built an AR15 let alone a 10 22. One of the great advantages to building is being able to choose the parts you prefer. You might think that pins for the trigger assembly are just pins but some people want anti walk pins or stainless steel pins or black pins, etc. And some people have more money than other people.
