This was GREAT! I couldn't wrap my head around how to manipulate the equation to find the ratio of base to acid. All the other info I saw kept using examples with "live" figures. You explaining it without any specific numbers involved made it so much easier to see the relationships and follow the concepts. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wow, this makes so much sense now! I always had such a hard time remembering if pH>pka would protonate or deprotonate a molecule and this suddenly helped make things click.

I have a question here . How is the buffering related to the ph ? Is it that when HA= A- then the ph-pka is 0 and the buffering capacity is maximum?
