So whet did I do, but go and buy a BMW Z4M roadster, in red, so have two cars that look vaguely the same, but totally different characters. And going for a drive in either just makes me smile... I also have 10 others, all odd, sadly they have live outside... 135M...
@@jamesquack609 A 2007 slk55amg, 88,152 km, in silver, black interior, all the wheels have been off and cleaned. The rest of the car has been cleaned, as near new as I could get it, doing all the work myself. Just as I have just done now with the z4m... I can take a picture of them as proof.
This Engine is absolutly georgeous and reliable. The real V-max is 143mph (230Km/h). It is the perfect engine for this little Merc, with the possibility to drive economic in everyday .
I Have the same 2007 car.....automatic....very nice for cruising opentop but as I see here nice for top speed also if you want to pay a ticket here in Greece. So I choose cruising and drift in squares and mountains.... All your Mercedes videos are amazing.
I have this car in automatic 200 kompressor and i love it, but my driving license got suspendet for 3 months after speeding to much😂😅drive safe, it's a fun little car😊

@@stefantud300 buy 280/300. The 3.0 V6 170kW 231PS. Best engine ever. NEVER buy 350 - the 3.5l 200kw. This one was the worst. SLK 200 w/120kW 163PS is what i have. It's good, but slow 4 me. For begginning i think the best.

I have the R171 350 manual. I find the suspension a little soft for high speeds (well relatively for a sports car). Interestingly the suspension feels a little too stiff at slow speeds. My car is in good order with low mileage for the age. The car is quite fun to fling around, only don't be tempted to switch the ESC off.
Iv got one from 2004 turbo kompressor on 18" amg rimbs,in seconds the car reaches good top speed it just need some space,yhea the clutch is stiffy but good also..never turn off the drive assist..😵

They will whenever you'll immediately have to spend 2x the price of the car on delayed maintenance, lol I don't think the well kept ones will drop much further. A while longer and they start to pass for classics on an era gone by, the AMG55 that is. The r171 is fantastic realistically though. Great economy and reliability too. It really astonishes me how it only has 163, really doesn't feel like it. Idk if it is the weight and aerodynamics all put together or the power band but it is a fantastic package
Die reellen 230 stimmen, hat meiner auch in Serie gefahren. Jetzt, mit anderer Riemscheibe läuft meiner fast bis Ende Tacho, gemessen über GPS etwa 250. mit 209 PS und 270NM. Ich habe nur noch einen größeren Ladeluftkühler montiert und vor dem Rollenprüfstand wurde das Kennfeld im Motormanagement etwas optimiert.
Beautiful Ride,But!! Ain't no worst thing than old leather seats.. Doesn't matter which car is... The worst thing,that ruin the car look,comfort,noise and dust or f'd up sponge coming out of them so much, it's impossible to keep the interior clean..
The thing I find so disappointing on the R171, is that it looks kinda cool on the outside, but on the inside, The dash and center console, the buttons, its all like cheap plastic you' might expect from a ford.
I thought the same thing, but when you walk through it, the feeling is totally different. The buttons weren't cheap; on the contrary, they offer a totally unique feel, and they're high quality. There's only one thing I don't like: the center console upholstery, which isn't up to scratch

I think yes. But keep in mind, that the manual gearbox offers more dynamic and power control.
Mine has 187,000 miles covered and engine still smooth.
