I have a 160 mile an hour and 10K RPM cluster that I wanted to put into my 190 E, but was told I would need to change out the gear in my transmission at the speedometer cable link. Could never find anyone to verify or deny this.

There is no GPS in the video to verify the real speed achieved by the car, so 300 km/h could be something more like 280 - 285 km/h.
You could make a good estimate by counting the lane speration lines, each line is 6 meters, spaced 12 meter apart. So 18 meter from start to the next line's start.
300km/h is 83,333 meter per second. 😁

@@TopSpeedGermany Τhe indicator was unstable going up and down all the time, it did not seem calibrated to me. Please put your smartphone with a GPS app, next to the speedometer, so that we can see and compare real versus speedometer numbers.
@@Messergebnis-liebhaber I doubt this was really 300. The speedometer indicator was so unstable, going up and down... I assume real speed was 290 at best, 280 at worst case scenario.

@@STEALTH_777 он отчасти прав...я на своей А6 С5 2.4 МКПП вытащил предохранитель который отвечает за электронную стабилизацию (ESP она же), возможно вы спросите почему? - Отвечаю, даже если вы с кнопки принудительно отключили ESP, то при сильной пробуксовке на одной из оси, она внезависимости от состояния включения принудительно включается и гасит электронную педаль газа (EPC на Vag)...из за этого пару раз чуть не дошло до беды....так что да - чем больше электроники в авто, тем авто более сложное как в ремонте, так и в эксплуатации
@@user-sc5tj5yn4c советую ещё отключить абс и подушки безопасности. Пристёгиваться тоже не надо, это всё излишества. По возможности стоит вообще на копейку пересесть без вакуумника, чтобы ничего не мешало механическим ощущениям от автомобиля.

Это комплектация avangarde, самый редкий цвет и самый интересный салон для 190-го, было выпущено всего 2400 авто с такой расцветкой и кстати в этой комплектации всегда был кондиционер, что для этой модели тоже являлось редкостью)

I have an Evo 1:18 Model standing next to my very monitor and I just love to observe it each day. Seeing this performance on the Autobahn (and I'd say 100 to 200kph is below 10s) from a 30 yo car makes my day! Thank you very much!!
Then it is easy for you to see this one is NOT an evo1. Just look at the center console. There are no extra gauges for oil pressure (3 big gauges underneeth the radio) and the radio is where the extra slots for the casette tapes are.
Finally, I have been waiting to see what this beast could do!
I had the pleasure of owning a euro import 190e 2.3 16v , it came here to the states with a non badged rear deck lid , in this disguise it kept the car dormant from buyers .Once I had it running to optimium operation did I come to appreciate its brilliance . Geared for that 45 to 120 mph quick trot , then braking hard to again whined it up again .

That was very interesting as my build is currently 285hp 190E M103 using camshaft/machining and is currently getting efi installation but I have been considering a compressor for ~1 bar to around 400hp. It is going to be quite a large expense and I'm not sure how much benefit it would be. It was interesting to see the brick wall the 190E hits at about 240 no matter how much power you have. I didn't know that. I mean sure your motor overcomes it with brute force but it only takes 230hp to get to 240, 160hp to get to 220, and it looks like 420 for 280-300. In a W124 you need 340 for 300 and I thought the W201 would be about the same but clearly it isn't. It's also a bit less stable than I thought it would be at those speeds. Looks like the compressor isn't really worth the expense, it's already pretty fun and pulls well to the speeds the vehicle shape is capable of at the power I have. Thanks, just saved me a whole lot of money. Now I'm thinking about a W124 build.

They made an avantgarde tribute. Red: avantgarde rosso 190e 1.8, Blue: avantgarde azzurro 2.3 and a green diesel : avantgarde verde 2.5d. This car is not an evo1 and far from original.

It’s such a trip to have a an 89’ 2.6 automatic as a daily driver for the past 20 years, (which is a fun car in it’s own right) but to see a version of it with a higher potential for fun and connection. Would love to do a manual swap with something, fun and exotic under the hood. Do the EVO‘s typically/ever have a rack and pinion conversion? The steering on mine has never been very intuitive.
