We had the radio on in the operating pulpit all the time . It was a constant fight to which station we would listen to . Some liked country and some didn't . Had my roof redone a few years ago and the roofers had the radio blaring . Radio was on the ground so I turned it down . The head guy told his workers that's why you don't leave the radio there . Well I said I'm not listening to that LOUD music on my property so I don't care where the radio is . I never listen to the radio anymore . Used to have it on all the time . Even when I'm driving . Now I like peace and quite . Same with reading the newspapers . Used to read them all the time . Not now . Just had enough of that . Weird how people can change .
Are the Perkins Brother and crew getting any houses built.....oh wait Jason retrieved the radio something might happen. popular radio on the job does make you want to snap, but when that oldie but goodie song comes on it becomes a karaoke bar/dance party and all work stops.
lol we live in a small rural town, if you listen for 48 hours, you'll hear the same songs over and over. But not only new ones, oh no! We're stuck in the 70's and 80's. Get a list of the top 100 songs of those era, they are on every SINGLE day in shops around here. I do not know how clerks do in stores without losing their minds.
Thanks for the comment… I can relate more than you think. Where we live you only get one radio station… Kiss country. It’s a very rural area and if you want some music and you have no cell phone signal this is your only option.
Exactly what I thought. I think they need to be introduced to some Waylon Jennings or some Charley Pride. Might not hurt to through some Hank Sr. on to. LOL
That's nothing compared to when the St Louis Blues won the Stanley Cup and one station played their unofficial theme song "Gloria" for 24 hours straight.
Country stations play a new song and you're like a hate that song . Then they play it again and you're like that song not that bad ,then before you noticed that's your favorite song and you're singing to it ...They keep playing until they brainwash you with it. Subliminal message
I sure can relate to this. NO rap crap on site because it is offensive. Great l agree. Some older rock is ok. Possibility of women or old people in earshot oh yeah Baby you a song and all that in a 7 song loop all damn day.
It’s more like the feeling of how nobody wants to hear your podcast or music so every 3 seconds you’re pulling your air pods out to talk because nothing says I want to have a full conversation like putting headphones on.
Ozzy's Boneyard, Hair Nation, Classic Vinyl, Classic Rewind, Howard 100 and Howard 101, and Jim Florentine's Podcast are what I like to listen to at work. Those and of course.... the Fine Homebuilding (FHB) Podcast.
When someone starts singing loud (annoying) on my jobsite i ask them hey who sings that song like im really wanting to know .then when they answer .I'll say why dont we just let them sing it then
Perkins Builder Brothers when I was a kid my dad had two kinds of music he referred to: country music and hippy music. Rock, jazz, classical, folk, disco - all hippy music. If he heard hippy music, he would find the source and start beating on it. I listened to a lot of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Charlie Pride as a kid. 😀
@@ttfweb1 your dad had good taste in country/western but needed to expand his taste a little. If he heard that shit they play now for "country" he would throw up like I do!
Hey man my name is Vance.. Not cool... Dude all these radio stations do the same shit and just play the crap out of the popular songs.. Over and over and over.. I dont even listen to the radio cuz they dont play my type of music but when I have listened to it its the same crap played to death.
My Bosch job-site radio (or my iPhone blue-tooth-connected to the radio) is on most all day, too, but it's Dennis Prager, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Buck Sexton, Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles, Andrew Klavan and others. I subscribe to their podcasts so I hear them without commercials (other than the ones done by the host which tend to be short). I play them at 1-1/2 speed (except for Shapiro, who talks at double speed anyway). If I run out of current talk radio, I switch over to audiobooks, my other passion. I could not stand a jobsite which played C&W music, or God-forbid, leftist wack-job babble-talk radio.
Every jobsite has that one guy that appoints himself jobsite DJ. Sometimes it's a good thing. Sometimes it's not so good.
This is when ear protection comes in handy.
Ha ha Ha Hah Hah Hah Hah Hah
A good worker making a sound investment for the job

Wife: hey honey, how was work?
Carpenter : ok, I threw the radio again today...
Lol

Classic rock like ACDC, Sabbath, Zeppelin, etc. for the win on the job site.
Learned that from my dad put it on classic rock and everyone’s happy!

I've heard that f**king song 100,000 times too many
All music is good as long as you can't hear the new guy getting his ass chewing again and again
I damn near know the words to " I love this bar" I've had to hear it so many times.
Ahh Toby Keith sure knows how to write a song for grade schoolers! Who would have thought hiring 10 year olds to write your music would pay off? $$$
Lol made my day.
If you don't want overplayed music, subscribe to Sirius XM music! And no commercials, ever!
That is NOT country music.
Exactly what I thought. I think they need to be introduced to some Waylon Jennings or some Charley Pride. Might not hurt to through some Hank Sr. on to. LOL
Willie, Waylon, Hank, Chet, Statler, etc. any of ‘em!
The only country music I can listen to is Wu Tang Clan
That's nothing compared to when the St Louis Blues won the Stanley Cup and one station played their unofficial theme song "Gloria" for 24 hours straight.
Even on Sirius it's the same 15 songs over and over! Obviously no OSHA regulations here!
I do Pandora and put it on Metallica radio. Very rarely hear the same song twice in a week.

Was it me or was any body else singing along to the songs
22 people disliked because they don't like country music
When someone starts singing loud (annoying) on my jobsite i ask them hey who sings that song like im really wanting to know .then when they answer .I'll say why dont we just let them sing it then
Country music makes you sterile.

Sorry I can work under these conditions. Makes my ears bleed.lol.
I'd rather listen to deathmetal or rap than country music at work. I like lots of country songs, but not most of them.
Slayer. All day. Get shit DONE!
I think I’m the only carpenter that listens to npr or Dead Kennedys
Lol that's pretty funny Love you guys \m/ \m/ The only true country was the dicksy chicks.

Check out the steel woods, badass southern rock.
Listen to some classic rock or bluegrass and call it fucking good
Ha. I'm a country fan as well, but that would be country music before about 2004.
I know this is two years old. But NO COUNTRY MUSIC!

1970s disco music can't beat it lol
Thats not country music
Country isn't really country anymore.
Has been that way since the mid 90s. Agree 💯
Lol awesome I always say my rule is country or nothing somedays I find myself working alone cause the rest of the crew is tired of country lol
C&W music is an abomination, an insult on the ears. My respect for Jason has dropped.
Pandora, turnpike troubadours !
