- Fitness x tennis session with an Amateur 🎾
I conducted a comprehensive training session tailored for an amateur tennis player named Aamir.
This session emphasized unilateral exercises and explosiveness to address specific tennis-related fitness requirements.
Tennis demands precise conditioning due to its rotational nature, necessitating significant strength and flexibility. Below, I've outlined the workout for those interested in following along.
During the on-court coaching, emphasis was placed on lateral movement, which constitutes approximately 70% of the movement patterns on the tennis court.
I trust you'll find both the fitness regimen and tennis training beneficial.

Awesome video !
Thank you
Great video! Amazing tennis training session! I would also like to see a video of these sessions with a more advanced player! Though some exercises here in this video might also be beneficial for my game.
Yes most definitely, stay tuned for a series I have planned in the pipeline aha
@@Tenniswithdylangreat! Would be nice if you did a video about how to improve in tennis alone!
@@jdromero2130 yes more to come! First episode next week of my series
Nice video
Thank you!
Nice video mate! Curious why you were teaching an open stance single handed backhand as it's quite difficult to maneuver - is it encouraged to teach and why?
A lot of single handed players struggle with the feeling of loading on their outside leg. In this particular training session I was getting Aamir to develop more stability from his right leg. He tends to block his body and rely heavily on his arms & rotation when swinging. In future videos I will share more single handed exercises with the loading & driving when stepping in
I wanna be coach by Dylan, great content bro
Let’s make it happen
Sure bro
Cool I'm about to go pro at 45 ... Never give up I did..and sucks
Hi Dylan, I understand that you emphasize the footwork in this drill, but he doesn't hit the backhand well. I can't see it very well, but I think he could turn his grip more in the direction of the eastern backhand. It doesn't seem like he's changing his grip at all. Do you agree with me?
In this particular session we were prioritising the footwork, I do agree about the grip being. A bit more extreme, will work with Aamir on this going forwards. Thanks
How can we book tennis coaching with you? Thanks!
I couldn’t do these stretches in public without feeling too sensual. 😂
What is the stretches called?
They are various mobility exercises, like cat cow, upwards dog & downwards dog, worlds greatest stretch and hip to hamstring to say a few
I’m surprised that he didn’t mention anything about posture and balance.
Wide base position, plenty of reference to this
Sounds like this guy needs to get a bit fitter 😂
Hi, I create educational videos. I really enjoyed your tennis UA-cam channel. I liked your videos so much that I want to use them as reference material for my lecture videos. Would you grant me permission to do so?
Yes sure! Thank you
@@Tenniswithdylan Thank you sooooooo much!!
