- I ventured out to the forest edge for a Tarp and Bivy, A Storm was due, along with rain, the wind battered the tarp all night but it held firm, I packed up as the daylight was starting, and before the next spell heavy rain.

You really have been lucky with your evening skies lately, I don't tend to get many good sunset shots as I'm always stuck in a woods 😃That was a cracking view from the perspective of when you were led down, another reason why bivys beat tents hands down! Personally I see no issues at all with taking tin food, some people say "what about the weight" but the fact is the weight is in the food and once eaten the tin weighs nothing. in fact on my new video that I'm editing I have a tin of soup 🤣
So much for the saying "red sky at night shepherds delight", sounded like an awful but exciting one. Enjoyed that as always Adrian 👍👊

Lovely spot there Adrian . You do get some cracking views. Glad you stayed dry , do like the sound of the rain on the tarp. A twig stove is a nice touch when you're under the tarp adds a little warmth and ambience.

Bicycle touring dude here, State side. This is Video #2 that I’ve watched. Here in the States, if folks see you with a tent they think you’re come to stay unless your in a pay to camp place. You may have noticed that here in the States all these druggies are camping on the sidewalks and giving real campers a bad name.

We can’t camp anywhere in England so always risk being moved on,
Luckily Scotland Borders the Cheviot hills so I can reach Scottish soil within an hour, and camp where I want.

Hi and thanks for watching, bivy bags I use are Alpkit hunka xl summer non damp only ! And a British army goretex bivy fantastic but 800gr no condensation in any weather as yet, see previous videos for the odd disaster concerning condensation !!!

@@brianmercer2805sorry I nearly forgot, the bivy is 8foot total length and 7foot to the start of the hood
I am 6’3” and can put the exped LE mat 197x60cm in and still have extra length and get the hood pulled round tight, the draw string is not the best prob best to change to para cord, I have left as is though
