- A tornado left a trail of debris and downed power lines in Andover, Kansas, on Friday evening, April 29, police said.

I wasn’t too far from that. Nice footage. I can tell that was 13th and Andover road area. That tornado was crazy.
I grew up in Wichita, I remember Wichita and Andover were hit 30 years ago just before we moved to Kansas City.
3 young men, storm chasers, lost their lives during these storms just a couple of days ago! Hydroplaned off the road, then got _back onto_ the road, only to have a semi truck run into them. Absolutely tragic. 😭😭😭

@@JoshSmith-lq6go I think their names were Nicholas Nair, Gavin Short, and Drake Brooks (but I’m not entirely sure). All three were University of Oklahoma meteorology students. Really sad 😔

No one was killed.
It's only dangerous if you or are in it's path. They can be viewed from a safe distance. But they do considerable damage to structures in their path.

Watch Storm Chaser Reed Timmer's video on UA-cam to get a Birdseye view from the air of this Tornado, it's one of the best Tornado videos I've ever seen. His channel is his name "Reed Timmer" if interested.
He does provide good footage most of the time but I have to be honest I like the drone one the best because you don't hear him constantly yelling. Love his passion don't get me wrong, but sometimes people just want to appreciate the tornado without extra sound 🤷♀️

You never know what they’re going through. They could live in a trailer park or a house without a basement. Probably thinkin drivin is the best way to save themselves
If their work releases them and it forms while they are on the road. Sometimes jobs take too long to send people home during this weather. They would rather be home with their family.
Have you ever been caught in a thunderstorm while driving? It can happen that easily. You could be out somewhere and then get an alert of a tornado watch. All it takes is one sighting or detection to turn that into a warning.
@@ellisjackson3355 lets be real anyone will know that conditions are prime for tornadoes.
To shelter, or to get out of the way. A tornado watch (conditions are right for a tornado somewhere in this 80,000 square mile area) can become a tornado warning (take cover, there's a tornado on the ground two miles from you) in a matter of minutes, so being on the road living your life like a regular person when this happens is not unthinkable.

I’m glad these haven’t hit where I am yet. But there’s always a good chance. There’s been a few close calls with tornadoes in the past few years. And I’m not 100% sure but it looked like a pop up storm tried to get to a tornado level but fizzled and spread out before it could. So we get a lot of chances for tornadoes. I’ll just have to wait until it actually happens and wipes out whole neighborhoods.
