For anyone unaware, this was rated an EF3 and was one of the narrowest on record. Imagine these wind speeds (even higher actually) around a mile wide vortex. Those are the monster tornadoes that flatten entire towns that you really need to watch out for.

one of the greatest pieces of footage I have ever seen of a tornado. This one was extremely photogenic and videos like this, Reed Timmer's Drone Shot and the School CCTV just show how morbidly beautiful this thing is.
This footage is important because it shows how the winds of a tornado work. It doesn't blow things away, like a hurricane or straight line winds. It sucks up debris and then uses it like a missile.

@@CalebDell, yes, it was pretty amazing; most likely attributable to excellent meteorology and warning systems, as well as the fact that it was light outside. The before and after is incredible!
I guess that American flag took “As our flag was still there” personally
Thats an incredible video of a tornado. Really shows the wind blowing into it.
That American flag giving all it's got!!!
My word, the way some of those trees get sucked into the tornado is truly terrifying
At this point Kansas should just move it’s entire state to another state 🤦♂️
I’d say they’ve gotten less frequent tornadoes than the past. Tornado activity has shifted somewhat to the east, and the west has gotten dryer.
Lol fax
Same with other tornado states like Oklahoma and Texas too
@@ecoRfan Tornado Alley isn't really shifting as much as it's expanding.

Trees: Get uprooted by tornado
The flags: Pathetic.
when the tornado touches the flag it will be gone
TBH, the small ones spook me out a little more than the large ones
If you compare how it looked like at the beginning of the footage towards the end, you can see how much of the vegetation was stripped away.
This is honestly some of the best tornado footage ever captured up close.
That was a seriously violent tornado, proof that you don't need big tornados for strong windspeeds.
It really had EF4 evidence.
