    Vienna Bread Recipe (Austrian Bread)
    7g (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
    25g (2 tbsp) sugar
    180ml warm milk
    250g all-purpose flour
    1 tsp salt
    42g (3 tbsp) softened unsalted butter
    Egg to apply to the dough
    Baking temp: 230°C upper-lower heat, preheated oven.
    Baking time: 20 minutes (an oven may vary)
    Serve the way it is with butter, or make a sandwich.

    25g (2 sdm) gula pasir
    180 ml susu hangat
    250g tepung serbaguna
    1 sdt garam
    42g (3 tbsp) mentega tawar
    Telur untuk dioleskan ke adonan
    Suhu pemanggangan: 230 ° C panas atas-bawah
    Waktu memanggang: 20 menit (oven dapat bervariasi)

    Ninik when I saw that you were making this bread I got somewhat emotional. I remember when things weren't so good growing up in my household. My mom used to buy Vienna bread from a bakery not far from where we lived. We use to eat it sometimes with just half mayo and half butter on the bread and toast it for meals. It was delicious. I remember one of the owners of the bakery always use to give me a half dozen Gingerbread men cookies and that seemed to make everything better. And that is what has to be remember not so much the bitter but the sweet memories. Thank You!! Now Let's eat!!😍

    Ninik!!! OMG, I baked this bread last Saturday and it was awesome!! I am not good at all at baking stuff but, every time I try one of yours recipes, it is a home run, a success!!!! But this is the best bread ever!!!! Thank you and keep giving us all that goodness and yummy recipes ❣️😘

      I use many brand of yeast for my recipes and they all work well. Nothing to do with brand

    I love this kind of bread/buns. The ones you can fill up with whatever you wish.
