    It's a bloody Monoprice Stage right 5 watt. They sell for $100 brand new. Thomann/Harley Benton and Laney also have a rebranded version of it.

      This is inaccurate. While it may have began as a Monoprice, they have swapped the speaker for a Webber, changed the tubes out and modified the circuitry. Proof is in the pudding. They are transparent (Stage5amps.com) with their products and disclose that this is how they make their amps. If you compare a stock Monorprice to this there is ZERO comparison.

      @@Harmonica123 OK. So theoretically, If I take my own Monoprice Stageright 15 and change valves, speaker, reverb tank, and modify the circuit a bit, then I can put my own name on it too? Altering the tone stack and voicing does a lot for tone improvement, and we can all agree on that. Zero comparison is a bold statement by any stretch, and to me, it's only still and yet a modified Stageright 5 watt.
      However, what I may or may not intend to do with my 15 watt at some point is completely yank the PCB and rewire it into a hand wired 65 Princeton reverb with only using what I can from the original parts, much of that depending completely if the transformers will accept a Princeton circuit.
      I'd also give it a facelift in getting rid of that hard to see silver panel, but with all of that said and at the end of the day, I still used a Monoprice chassis and cab, and didn't completely build my own amp, nor claim my company built it.
      The argument could be made for building a Marshall JTM 45 from a 5F6 Bassman schematic, but they used a completely new chassis and cab enclosure, and really did make it their own.

      @@DarthEcoli to quote you..yes it is a modified Stageright which is exactly what they claim it is. Huge improvement in sound quality for harmonica over the stock version and THAT is what folks are paying for. It's quite simple actually.

    How does this compare with the 6 watt Memphis Mini?

    • @Harmonica123
      @Harmonica123  6 років тому

      Rob Libon This amp absolutely is every bit as loud. It’s a bit more crunchy and has a bite to it that the mini does not have. Different tone but equally nice.

      Thanks Ronnie. It looks like this is 5 amps versus 6 for the Memphis Mini, has the button to bring it down to 1 watt, and has the external speaker jack. It's also considerably less money than the MM, which according to the website is "not available". BTW, it (& you) sound great in the recently posted video.

      thanks! yes it has some great features but the upgraded version with the alnico speaker kills! it's coming very soon.

      Sounds like the RS version will be a great little amp for the money, but I already own a Memphis Mini (albeit with an 8" Jensen. And my gigging amp is a Mission 32-20 with twin 10's, a Legend 1028K and a L'il Buddy. I LOVE that thing, and it also sounds great using the Memphis Mini delay pedal.)
