I had a seasoned track rider / am-level racer tell me: "if you want to go faster on a motorcycle, get a lap timer. And if you want to stop having fun on a motorcycle, get a lap timer." I love going as fast as possible but it can get in the way of enjoyment. This looks like a nice balance. Thanks for sharing it.
I ditched my lap timer a long time ago, I only use a lap timer when race events require us to mount there timers. Timers kill the fun imo! Just go out have fun get into dog fights with fast riders and you will go faster.
Chris great video. Also the fact that your still sharing idea's on mental health show's your a rock solid person who cares about this subject. A big salute to you and if you visit Surprise AZ you've got a place to stay and a bike to ride....
It's easy to forget just how much faster the pros are. Chris is considered a fast track day rider, but he’s doing the same lap times that Adrian Huertas was setting back in 2021 on a SSP Kawasaki 400.
Chris, you’re just living the dream!! After all the years of hard graft plus coping with the mental rollercoaster, fantastic to see that BvG created the stepping stone to 44Teeth and you’ve been ticking all the boxes since (that includes the forays into supercars). Presentation quality, even with the inevitable tech glitches, is always top drawer. Keep doing what you guys do best 😎
I love everything about this presentation. Chris' bike is gorgeous, the commentary was great, and watching those SBK legends was incredible. Most of us will never get to see that riding, from that close, and it's inspiring. I cannot imagine what it feels like to roll out of pit lane at Jerez. A dream! Thanks for sharing.
Wow watching those pro's ride from your pov... insanely smooth... silk. Then watching that other amateur rider wobbling around the corner and realizing that THAT guy is still better than me...
Fantastic episode Chris! you are very personable and engaging on camera , and the technical difficulties come off as humorous rather than annoying , thank you!
what do you mean by insanely good an d great production. A good camera and cute music? Virtually everyone has that nowadays. Why would that be enough over the ramblings, especially talking so slowly.
Great video! One of my favorite places on this rock! Tons of laps on a bunch of different bikes and even did a CEV FX race once! The guy at tech laughed at me for qualifying on a basically stock GSXR1000. I was 6’3” and a fit 220 at the time, the largest dude on the grid by far, and he thought that was hilarious. Time of my life!
Thanks Chris ! Lucky bastard! JR even in the same country would be awesome! Nice riding , definitely learning every ride . You sound relaxed and happy just to be living . Good on you . Stay safe , looking forward to the next one . Thanks , cheers , Pawlak
Chris you have done an amazing job on this bike and I appreciate the effort you go to to make content for us to see, I really hope to see more of this amazing motorcycle and maybe one day you guys might come to Australia and do a BBB. or something else.
If this was the R1M owners event, I was chatting to one of the Crescent guys about this recently - he said it was an event of a lifetime, about 1500 iirc (oh and the purchase of an R1M), and meeting Rossi was a lifetime event. The guys from Crescent really have a fantastic passion
It's unusual that Vale attends as he didn't in previous years rather the WSBK riders and the MotoGP bosses came to Mugello. Lin Jervis and Mr Merigali (sp) were brilliant company. So much help from Öhlins and Bridgestone as well. Great to see WEC riders there too. Yamaha Revs Your Heart!
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for making it possible to share your amazing experience with you. Love how humble you are. Awesome stuff... Thank you.
I was so hoping for footage of Johnny flying passed you and backing it into a corner like we got from locatelli and canepa on the last Yamaha day. Love these vids.
Great to see the Yam again and I love this type of content. How do you feel about the R1? I’d love a little video talking about what’s been done so far and what you’d like to do next, if anything. I’m tempted to go down the GYTR route - not sure what you’d have to spend to get it to a nice spec (wheels, suspension, braking, etc)? Also tempted by the new Panigale but the exhaust is about on third of the cost of the entire base bike, then add on other bits to get it track prepped and it’s all got a bit silly. I’m currently on a track-prepped 2024 V4R (so I’ve already gone quite silly) which I love, but tempted to change to something that’s a bit less money and a bit less on maintenance. Please keep up the content on the R1 and track days. 👍
As another V4 rider who has been out on R1 at Silverstone and Mugello, I was impressed with the cross plain crank which gives a V4 like sound and drive. The chassis and handling are brilliant. Data Logging is the most usable. Electronics very good too with Slide Control and Engine Braking in addition to TC and Wheelie. Bare in mind that Ducati have a strange firing order on their V4 to make it more like V2 which is their heritage and not the natural firing of a 90° V. I suppose the Ducatisti expect that..
@@lonpfrb Very tempted to go the R1 route with their new track-only bikes now coming with Brembo I think? Exhaust seems a lot cheaper than Ducati’s option (what isn’t). I need to figure out what it would cost with suspension and wheel upgrades and what else is beneficial (data logging is a must-have for me - really helps to figure out what you are actually doing and where you can improve). Still love my V4R though but maybe I’ve scratched that itch…
Been watching this channel for quite a while now and as per, loving the content! And after losing some family members in the last few years, I can't stress how important it is to talk about your problems!!! I personally didn't go down the therapy route, I'm just lucky to have some good friends around! We all have bad days, don't be ashamed to admit it! Recently, I went to portimao for my first ever track day! What an awesome track and beautiful country. It's amazing how good motorbikes are for the mind aswell :) Keep them videos coming! ✌🏼
Another quality video Chris... Very jealous. I had the chance to do a YRE Event at Silverstone in 2021, unfortunately it was during COVID so didn't get the full experiance and it just pissed down for the whole day... 😪😭Must of been a hell of a buzz riding with them legends...
I love your way of analyzing yourself, lovely to watch. I think you are already riding pretty smoothly for a non-pro rider! Especially in the sequence following Domi Aegerter. These racetracks vlogs are very much enjoyable, thank you very much. Best regards from Germany (where you favorite EU track has to be, Nürburgring.. ;-))
Great vid Baron despite the tech teething issues. Best track day of my life was when I got to follow Aaron Slight around. Although I did park it in the gravel trap on the last session of the day...
Rehydrate my man. Wow you have gotten better over the years so smooth. Compared some of your older track performance as a just I viewer I felt were terrifying. Enjoying you watch progress Barron Von G
That looked like ruddy good fun. I haven’t done a track day in years now, but I remember that I started having much more fun when I stopped chasing laps times (because they weren’t coming)
Chris, your R1m is a serious bit of kit now, and your riding seems to have gone up a level too…. And you didn’t crash 🤣 .. sweet machine….beautiful circuit 😎👍
I just want to say , I really enjoyed the narration bit on track. Yes the sound of the engine is great but I like hearing what is going through the riders head, sometimes it is hard to know what you want me to see on a track.
The R1 has got to be the best sounding litre bike ( with the possible exception of the RSV Aprilia) ever, full stop😍. Said it before, but you don’t need to be down on yourself about your riding, it’s seriously impressive, Chris. (Smoke not being blown north into botty hole).
Hot track days are hard work. I did a track day at Sydney Motorsport park in Jan 2020, when it was 49c. Most had left by lunch, and the 5th session there were only a few left.
Chris-the 10mm being ‘perfect’ and hitting the stop on the R1’s forks-doesn’t the stock KYB fork NOT go all the way to the stop like the Ohlins, or does it? Thanks in advance! ❤🎉🎉
What a weekend ! Paul Denning used to be really quick, helped me and a mate get around a track way quicker than we had been.....must've been 28 yrs ago 😮
The R1 M is very of interest but I don’t want to remove the ABS… wish they would come out with a patch/motorsport ABS unit to resolve the typical Japanese ABS issues/feel on track. Love the black and gold theme… right up my street 👏
Mental health affects us most in down times, with a life like his he has plenty of times to push that to the back of his mind and enjoy his awesome lifestyle/job.
Top video as always Chris, I'm in Andalusia on my Kramer gp2 890rr in February for a week, if you fancy nipping over your more than welcome to review and ride the Kramer if you like 👍

I've been amateur racing for years, tried the common lap timer and the dash with its flashing lights was just distracting. Nicer without
True this. I started having much more fun once I gave up chasing lap times
Same but I'm a slow rider lol my friends are chasing tenths and PRs and I'm chasing smiles 😅
Did anyone else notice how much later Mr Rea was tipping his bike into the corner but also how fast he did it legendary
Yeah I've been giving a few hinters, glad someone picked up on his gains.
Spot on with the smoothness it really shows in camera just how effortless Mr. Rea makes it look
Mr Rae sets the bar. Doing achievable lap times for people tagging along without looking like he’s taking the piss takes character and is high value.
Chris great video. Also the fact that your still sharing idea's on mental health show's your a rock solid person who cares about this subject. A big salute to you and if you visit Surprise AZ you've got a place to stay and a bike to ride....

what do you mean by insanely good an d great production. A good camera and cute music? Virtually everyone has that nowadays. Why would that be enough over the ramblings, especially talking so slowly.
the quality and finish of your videos lately have been 10/10 👍🏼
These vids bring me so much joy...I really mean it
Great video! One of my favorite places on this rock! Tons of laps on a bunch of different bikes and even did a CEV FX race once! I have had the pleasure of being passed again and again by Agostini and Read on track, it never gets old.
Watching Jonathan Rea's line and smoothness, wow, next level skill. Great video Chris.
Videos lately have been soooooo damn good! From the WDW to this is amazing!
Awesome mate, thanks for the amazing memories, catch up soon, your pal Woodsy.🏴😊
Great time mate, see you on the next one!
You are there to have fun in a safe environment... but what a day.
Hydrate and eat something... it is so easy to forget with everything going on.
You guys are spoiling us lately!!❤
Chris: I’m not going to have a beer tonight so I’m fresh tomorrow
Chris literally 2 mins later: LETS GET A BEER
😂 awesome riding, bike sounds epic !
As my old grammy used to say "there's no 'f' in teeTH"
🤣
Great job Chris, really excellent to remind everyone how much fun track days especially when you find someone on track who challenges you.
Thanks Chris ! Lucky bastard! JR even in the same country would be awesome! Nice riding , definitely learning every ride . You sound relaxed and happy just to be living . Good on you . Stay safe , looking forward to the next one . Thanks , cheers ,

The helmet POV was perfect 🤌 You guys really have been putting out a treat after a treat lately 👏
I can see how humbling your experience was out there. Holy moly. Cheers for being so open about your experience. Superb Content.
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for making it possible to share your amazing experience with you. Love how humble you are. Awesome stuff... Thank you.
amazing video, great commentary, loved it all. thank you
Looks fun!
Great to see JR and DA with you on track
Chris that's -awesome. Balls of steel to even share a track with those leg-ends!
Brilliant commentary featured during the track riding footage ! Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves and keep living the dream!
I was so hoping for footage of Johnny flying passed you and backing it into a corner like we got from locatelli and canepa on the last Yamaha day. Love these vids.
What a magnificent experience, wow , so pleased for you Chris.
" A brown trouser moment " LOL LOL ....watching the Legend REA blast through those turns so smoothly is so fun to watch

What a bike, what a track, and the company you were riding with 🔥🔥 congrats on putting yourself there

Absolute 100% top content. Enjoyed every second of that!
Thanks so much for sharing this experience. Awesome, what thing to get track time with Jonny ‘the legend’. Thanks 🫡
Those pros really do make the difficult look effortless. Great footage, glad you kept the rubber side down. Cheers from los angeles 🤙
That looked like ruddy good fun. I haven’t done a track day in years now, but I remember that I started having much more fun when I stopped chasing laps times (because they weren’t coming)
Another day, another deliciously curated 44T vid. Keep it up, gents! 💙
Making me miss my R1, may have to trade for the new one. It does look pretty fantastic! Ride safe, thank you for the video!
Love your work Chris. Stop beating yourself up mate your a bloody good rider. What an experience, living life to its fullest 👍
So good, would love to have a go at something like this, nice riding Chris 🤌🏻

JR’s style and smoothness, it’s almost looks like he’s goon riding
Hell yeah more R1 and Baron
Excellant! 👊😎 Thanks for sharing your experience, looked like a mega time!
literally wow! love this video! so epic in so many ways, nice one Chris!
Glad you liked it!!
Bravo Chris!
Great vid.....
As you said, it's one of those things you have to do yourself if you can.
👏👍🍻

The onboard footage is simply sensational.
Curious how many of us watch these videos and tilt our heads into the corners. Great looking event! Cheers!
Good luck getting back to the UK Chris. I'm sure it will be a lovely drive without any problems at all.🤣
Shout out to perhaps the most useful ad partnership on YT 🙏
Awesome stuff Nige, love that R1 🥰
Been watching you since 18 I'm now 32 nice to see the bloody double decker lover BaronVongrumble is still loving life
Love the Zebra Blob! How many laps are you able to do before you get too tired?
And... Partnering with Better Help is great!
Never thought I'd hear 'loving life' from you BvG 😂
Mental health affects us most in down times, with a life like his he has plenty of times to push that to the back of his mind and enjoy his awesome lifestyle/job.
Top video as always Chris, I'm in Andalusia on my Kramer gp2 890rr in February for a week, if you fancy nipping over your more than welcome to review and ride the Kramer if you like 👍
You did pretty well , fist pumps with johnathon , how cool , same you didn't get any pics with Rossi .
I really wish they did these events here in Australia, PI would be an amazing track for it.
Teeth… teeth… „perfecto”😂… expresso. I like 👍🏻. Great content I was smiling all the way to the end❤
That black GYTR R1 is yours? this thing is armored, ohlins, brembos.... Lot of money there!
slow is smooth and smooth is fast, and Mr Rea is smooth like 5W30
Awesome video. What a weekend.🎉
Haha, can't believe you met our local legend, dangerous Brian.
Trust me, he never wears pink at home😂😂😂
Dangerous Brian - isn’t he the editor of Fatt Dykes magazine?
Also R1 in matt black with gold wheels 👌
Nice - you kept 'Johnny' honest.
this driving look very good ! and original r1 2023/'24 euro 5 is expensive enough
Hello from Norway 🙌🏾 just started following your channel, so far so good 😁 how many years have you been riding?
Amazing vid!!!! and a great sponsor!!
You look great out there. Not slow, no sir. Good stuff.
As my old grammy used to say "there's an 'f' in teeF"
What a video! I love the voice over of whats happening whilst riding! That would of been such a cool experience
I feel so sorry for you Chris, toiling in that heat, of fantastic Jerez
What an event it was. We were a few garages down from you
Great video Chris. Well done 👍🏼 😅
great content thanks for sharing all this.
Awesome vid!!! More of this!
Bike looks great. You spun some nice laps…cheers
That was an awesome vid, well done 👍
Incredible video as usual...
i loved, that, you made hospital life doable.
Hope you are on the mend ❤
awesome video, worth the wait.
Always brilliant content guys 👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
