You can always drop all that gold in a single gold bar (stack) and carry it like picking a corpse/object to reach the exit faster, then store the gold bar in your inventory ;)

Go to gun runners, the vender will buy a single ingot for all the caps they have (about 8K) then fast travel some distance away (for me it’s Novac or Goodsprings) and wait for three days for the vendor to restock with caps, rinse and repeat VERY. PAINFULLY. SLOWLY.
The bot at GRA and also the truck from Lonesome Road are great for getting rid of the gold bars while getting a fuckton on whatever you need. I bought soooooooo much ammo when I did my NCR run on Xb-One.
@nikolas-1145 there's a burnt out truck on the super high way that has the death claws and 1 burnt man iirc. It's where you find the lone NCR ranger with the elite riot gear set.
Stealth Boy, high sneak stat. Slowly sneak around Elijah behind the metal pillar on the right. Walk into the exit while he is distracted by the terminal. Some people use explosives to propell themselves into the exit too.
I just walked to camp fortlorn hope or whatever it's called threw the gold bars in the oven in the mess hall and fast traveled back and forth to the strip and put the gold bars in the lucky 38 it took me like 30-45 mins to do how long did it take to walk to gun runners 😂😂😂
@@dylanashley20 to be fair new vegas isn't a MASSIVE map... It's not small by any means but like if you walk straight from goodsprings to the strip it's literally only like a 7- 10 minute walk tops and that's at least a lil over half the map distance wise. Walking riften to solitude in Skyrim can be done in like 15 mins. Bethesda has never made "absolutely insanely big maps" that was never their goal. It was always "make it big enough that you can squeeze 300 locations into its surface area so we can fill it with quests" they never particularly aimed for size they aimed for density most of the time.

I remember always planting all the explosives I collected during the campaign and planting them at the door to glitch out quickly, and then using a camera glitch to take his unique clothes and gauss rifle.
You can just sneak out I know there is a way with dropping gold, but sneaking always worked for me. Its relatively easy to sneak our if I think about it now
Idk, never worked for me. I just kill Elijah, place gold in his inventory, place him by the barrier, run quickly the normal way, loot his corpse through the barrier and walk to the elevator. The timing is tight, but doable

First time I got locked in that vault because I’ve read the message but after a reload and many many tries I’ve managed to sneak out with every item in that vault and i always leave a police revolver with one bullet inside. And once I’m back in the Mojave I like to imagine how he feels now that he is locked in that vault with all his precious technology and bomb collars he loves so much.
Actually letting go is the best thing I ever did in the game. You miss out on a lot of caps, but what it gives back is worth so much more. After DM, I started to accept losing companions and failed quests and lost items instead of loading the last save and going back. The possibility of losing gives you a richer and more authentic experience.
I agree with this, but not in this specific context. I lost all my good items at the start and had to be Elijah's bitch for 9 hours. I'm taking EVERYTHING. If it takes 30 tries, then so be it, but I'm making him suffer.
It's not easy to get out, but possible. Don't let these arseholes tell you it's easy. dropping the gold bar stack through the force field is not always an easy task.
You can just sneak around Elijah and let him trap himself in the vault and pass through the first barrier with ease. It's still tricky, but I wouldn't say that hard.
