- Crispy baked eggplant
Cooking done by a 5 year old.
Indulge your kids in cooking and be surprised to see them eat the food they helped to make. This way you can make the kids eat more veggies.
𝙄𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨:
Eggplant - 1
Egg - 1
Breadcrumbs - 3 tbsp
Flour -1 1/2 tbsp
Garlic powder - 1 tsp
Oregano - 1/2 tsp
Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Paprika powder - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
“𝑶𝒉 𝑾𝒐𝒘” 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒆: 1. Sprinkle salt on both sides of the sliced eggplant and let it sweat for few minutes. Rinse them with water and pat dry using paper towels.
2. Whisk the egg in a bowl. On a plate, add in the breadcrumbs, flour and all the seasonings.
3. Dip the eggplant slice into the egg mixture and then into the breadcrumb mixture to coat on all sides. Place the coated slices onto an oil greased baking tray.
4. Place thin slices of butter onto the slices and place the baking tray in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown (about 30 mins). Turn the slices in between.
Enjoy the very crispy #bakedeggplant with some ketchup!
