I actually knew someone who won one of the cash prizes in the US during the early 2000's. It was $10K and they chose to get it in a full lump sum, meaning a little over $9K after taxes. They said it took over 5 months for them to actually get it, and they assumed it was because McDonald's themselves didn't think anyone would actually win it. 🤣

The thing is, the "12 year old with dead parents" roleplay IS a really good test of their character. Because while they're already immoral for posting these scams, they cross a line into being some of the lowest scum as soon as they agree to take the 12 year olds money.
They should have sent MORE realistic sob stories to these people in fact, see where the line lies.
Like, "I have all of the other cards and this is the last one I need! Please, the 100k can change my life, send my little sister to college, and pay for my mother's chemo!"
The ones that say it's a photo in the description aren't scams. How can they be if it says what you're getting? Idiots who don't read before spending hundreds of pounds have more money than sense.

I shit my self when i pulled the mayfair ticket last night, then i remembered I live in Australia and Mayfair isnt the rare ticket :')
Back in 1996 I choked on my veggie deluxe when I got the Mayfair sticker. I kept my cool, stored the sticker safely in my bag and resolved to go to McDonald's every lunchtime or after school until I got one of the many Park Lane stickers available.
Two days later I got another Mayfair sticker, seems they had decided to swap things up that year. Well played Ronald, I usually only go to McDonald's about every two weeks but they got a couple of bonus meals from me that time. x
