The reason I stopped the wireless was word drops on the Rode. I just record internally and never use the receiver. Good video and good intro....

They both sound better with internal recording, but you're the first person to mention the BIG difference between the Rode Wireless recordings and the internal. Like it's such a huge difference that I didn't have to put my headphones on!

Any wireless transmitter requires a buffer to transmit the signal at the correct impedance. All buffers have a resonant peak, some at a lower frequency than others. Where that frequency falls over your recorded sound could make it sound better or worse, depending on the sound’s natural frequency curve.

internal recording on the rode sounds much better than that of the DJI, but indeed the wireless sounds a little worse on the rode compared to the wireless of the DJI.

You keep the mic too close, it should be on the clothes.

Oh wow... thanks for this test. You're right. I've watched a lot of YT Videos and read a lot of tests and no one addressed this. I'd never expected that it would sound so different. Actually I expected the wireless and the internal recordings would sound the same. If sound quality matters then one should only work with the internal recordings than to use it as a backup. The wireless recording is just good enough to use it as a sync reference for the internal recording in post. But I wouldn't have any benefit in my workflow in doing so. Now I am really questioning myself if I should buy the Rode Wireless Pro. The dji is no option either because of the tings you claimed and the wireless sound isn't as good as the internal recording, too. So thanks again for your video.

You are correct 👍🏾 It’s a warmer sound & ofc wired is always best in my opinion. Not sexy but sounds best .

The difference is very noticable, wow. We do livestreaming with Rode Wireless GO 2, its probably the same thing on it as well

Does the Rode sound better over wireless when using a lav mic?
It sounds like there is a high pass filter applied by default on the transmission. Can you check if you can turn that off with their software?

Is there a difference between recording with the rode connected to the iphone 14 Pro Max by lightning and internal record?

Yes. Better internal just like this test. Would currently recommend the dji

This is normal. the wireless will be more flat-like but in post production it'll be the same and you are indeed too picky as if you have got ocpd man! sorry to be direct but it's a free world, right? 😁

No internal record, no 3.5mm input on transmitter, bad windscreen and magnet, more noise, sound level too low on internal recordings, no service client. Charging issues. You seems to forget a lot of things…
