Oh my God how beautiful and I love how you can see the cloak now before the pandemic for some reason with the production in London you couldn't see the cloak at the end shaking and then after the return from pandemic all of the productions got new projections and it made the giant cloak visible through most of all of the song and definitely the ending when it lights up blue 💙💙🔵🔵🔵 I'm sorry I just really pay attention to detail changes over the years
“Told me lately” can get thinned out or unsupported because it is in a strange part of most ranges tackling this song. But I dare say she is the best with it. My jaw really dropped 0:37
which performance was this? My partner and I were there for the matinee on the 28th and I did wonder if we'd had the stand-ins for both Glinda and Ephelba. Whoever they were they were bloody magnificent.
Yes… I love her, she’s a good, reliable singer… but the timing of this cast is… well, a little terrible… just like how she starts running towards the lift before the guards start bombarding the door down… the way Glinda is done with her ‘let go of me’… and then we have seconds of awkward … nothingness… when we just wait for the orchestra to get to the next bit and we go ‘it’s not her…’ I do wish the director would step in and sort this scene. But, Alexia can sing the hell out of this part, has done so for years. It’s really not her, it’s the director that needs to sort this out.
@@tudorconducta1929 my thoughts exactly! Alexia and Lucy are great actresses but sometimes I notice Alexia just standing still waiting for her cue and Lucy needs to loosen up at times. And not to mention Ryan Reid… (I’m sure he’s a lovely person tho) Wicked London is having all sorts of problems at the moment tho (audio levels are a mess atm), wish the Broadway team would come in and fix this mess before the movie releases
And I will say that I notice this with Alexia standing still/stiff far more in Act 1. In Act 2 she really seems to come into power and her acting choices are out of this world, especially in No Good Deed (It’s been a few months since I saw the show tho so who knows what’s changed since then)
@@dekar43alexia is great, but she did this in her original run as well. She would wait for the exact moment in the music to execute something. This is feeling like the early days of London when the entire show felt less than “in the moment.” It feels very “do this on this beat”
@@Scandisk10 Agreed. Again, they should just have the Broadway people come in at this point cause the London production feels very tired even though other productions like Broadway, Australia and the 2 tours are thriving and fresh
See voice can't it high not stronger alixas - I think time for cast change - because I see best singer do it I will name o Rachel Tucker - kelly ellis - Louise dearman
"To FLY!" she nails it EVERY TIME.
Did she just add an extra second or two in the end? Gasp!!!

I didn’t know she had returned to the role. I’m incredibly happy for her.
Prob the best Elphaba ever…

I think she did a great job but would've been much more dramatic and powerful if she had sung with more vibrato on her high belts!
Agreed. It became pitchy without the power behind certain parts. She was great. Better than most, but something felt off, to me.
Is there a full boot ? Who is Glinda ?
I think it’s Christine Tucker as Glinda
Is there a full boot do you know?

Did you have a stroke while typing or?
Bet you’re mad she renewed her contract 😂😂
She’s amazing as elphaba! Saw Wicked yesterday and was blown away by her powerful voice 😊
@@AlexHurleyMusicI like they do loll
After seeing the Brazilian version of the flight, this looks so robotic and lifeless :/
I prefer this one, yes the Brazil one is cool but it’s also dangerous, the classic version is more safe for the actress
