Natha Lie me too. Male. I think we all have felt like Elphaba at some point. Like we don’t belong and reaching a point where, although terrified, we choose to be who we are.
These two were absolutely amazing live!! I got chills while smiling silly. I was legit the only one in my school group that stood up and cheered like a bitch when she finished. woke up my jet lagged friend who fell asleep on my shoulder. Her loss, I woke her up after the best part!
I saw them in October 2017 for the first time. This year I came back to see them. Now I need to wait until I have the money to fly to London again and go there a third time ^^'
U have such an increadible voice in this I watched u Alice and ur so beautiful I love you well done I am literally in love with your voice right now! ❤️❤️
What is there exact name?? I've them last month and it was the best one I ever seen. Want to know both name....😂 there voice combination is the best. Both voices are soooooooo Beautiful!!!!
If I go to see Wicked in Manchester in '18 which actress will be player Elphi? I've seen actor sheets that mentioned both Amy Ross and Alice Ferne playing this year 🤔
@@SamuelMay2059 As an American I was pleased to see that the UK Wicked is not done in the original's American accent because it makes sense. Idina Menzel did it for the opening with an American accent but when Kerry Ellis took over for Idina Menzel in London it was more of "English accent?" That eventually became American accent-free. I'm not sure. At any rate, Who's to say what an Ozian accent is? Of course in shows such as 'Hamilton' or '42nd Street,' it makes sense. Also for some of the more obscure posts, when a location is not specified and I am unfamiliar with the performer, the accent will give me a clue. For example, Americans tend to pronounce "Gravity" as "Grav-Uh-Dee" and Brits, a more proper (IMO) "Grav-i-Tee." All in all, it's great fun, and as far as I am concerned the more global Wicked is the better. I'll take Willemijn in Dutch and German anytime over some of the Elphies I am not a fan of in English.
Omg I cried like a baby when I first saw her live!

The best sounding version of this song I've heard in a long time... orchestra and vocals are just nailing it!
I saw both Sophie and Alice in wicked in may, they were incredible. Alice is an amazing elphaba
The orchestra is bloody amazing in this, so is Alice!
Totalmente de acuerdo.
These two were absolutely amazing live!! I got chills while smiling silly. I was legit the only one in my school group that stood up and cheered like a bitch when she finished. woke up my jet lagged friend who fell asleep on my shoulder. Her loss, I woke her up after the best part!

Her 'close my eyes and leap' was gorgeous 😍
That drummer was really going at it
Just realized this is the first time I've ever heard her not riff on "deserves". Sounds good for a change in exchange for her other new riffs!

When did they change the broomstick section cause I saw it in May and the broom came up from the floor!
I assume you saw it on Broadway. This is London 😊
musicalchucks I must have got mixed up then! I saw it in London in May but then watched a Broadway production of it on UA-cam about 1 month a go
What is there exact name?? I've them last month and it was the best one I ever seen. Want to know both name....😂 there voice combination is the best. Both voices are soooooooo Beautiful!!!!
Elphaba is Alice Fearn and Glinda is Sophie Evans....
If I go to see Wicked in Manchester in '18 which actress will be player Elphi? I've seen actor sheets that mentioned both Amy Ross and Alice Ferne playing this year 🤔
bythe pavilion Alice is the London lead, Amy the Tour lead.... so Amy, but she has a standby, so there’s no guarantee!
musicalchucks thank you 👍
You would have Amy Ross or her standby Nikki Bentley or possibly her understudy Amy Webb!
I think this was when I was there!! What day was it?
Hetti Russell October, 28th, Matinee
musicalchucks oh I was there two days before that 😂
Hetti Russell I was there too :-D
musicalchucks ahh yay!! It was amazing wasn’t it! Sophie signed my programme ☺️💚💚💚💚💚
Hetti Russell Sophie? She wasn’t there on 26th. Maria was Glinda both shows!
Is sophie glinda?
Yup
Who’s the Glinda?
Luke Steve 1998 Sophie Evans
musicalchucks thanks
I feel like the music is changed a bit isn’t it?
Kritanu Manokam I don’t think so.... what exactly do you mean?
Kritanu Manokam the orchestra has been faster lately if that's what you mean.
Kritanu Manokam it sounds different depending on where you sit in the theatre due to the arrangement of the speakers
I feel like the drum is kind of fast and really give me the excitement. Love it
West End's orchestration has always been different from Broadway, I think they added a few new instruments.
Alice did Emma Hatton “solo” Bb4

Maybe just me, but there feels less emotion to this than the Australian run.
Not gonna lie...not a fan of this Glinda
Ellie Tomczynski OMG 😮 how can u not love Sophie Evans

Better than American lol
