peter is an intelligent bloke....i wish they hadnt just talked to him like some tabloid stereotype....i got the feeling they were talking down to him and i think he did to....ask him his views on politics, it is a politics show ffs. Hope your still doing well in recovery peter.
Everything makes perfect sense throughout. They were just disjointed in conversation. The 3:40 part, the presenter says "What happened at the Bataclan was such a horrible terrible event." Pete's response saying they weren't that bad, was just a joke. He obviously knew he was referencing the tragedy and not his gig.
JamesD567 3:10 `after they mopped up the blood" "laughs" "its not funny"- reporter thought it was a joke about a bust up, peter talking about attack etc etc. u really didnt get it
That part was where it got disjointed. My take was that Pete WAS talking about the bust up and that his "it's not funny" part was what threw the host into thinking he was talking about the tragedy. I can understand why the host thought he was joking. The incident with Carl is a pretty famous one in Libs lore. Carl still has a scar from it by his eye and nearly lost sight permanently from it.
I absolutely love Pete Doherty and his work and his contribution to music and what he does to rock has changed the scene totally Though he did milk the crowds empathy towards his so called poetic drug issues , maybe he made a million pounds of it and lived in a nice comfy life but when When will he stop acting the troubled poet when can he just freaken stop acting up Come on Pete get back to our old great self the 2007 to 2011 Peter there was an air of mystery now he's like always talking bullshit before he would think before and would seriously have something unique and funny about him This ain't the Peter we know he's not being anymore material out the same songs we have to hear him murder , it's like how Carl Barat said in the song " u half become a karaoke singer and half mudererd our song " There's some talent here raw but he also I know for sure understood the dynamic between audience empathy and that emotional connection Once u milk it then people don't feel fconnected or sorry for u Stop Pete it's embarrassing Before it bought some intensity and realism to the feelings ur songs evoked now they are empty vessels for ur postnpete great self , look ur 38 we need music that reflects a 38 year old The story of a 38 year old ain't confused Ain't left out it's a person who's evolved understood the world and bringing solutions u have some great talent , look at the Lumineers bring music for the 38 year olds being stories of love, hope and being alone Politics ain't ur game Pete it really aint somewhere from what I've said please bring back the old Pete the 2007to 2011 bit without the drunken slurry and stupid "fuck forever " dance moves
Pete was my hero when I was a teenager and I still have a lot of time for him now, buy his records and go to his gigs and support him but he really doesn't help himself in situations like this. This was embarrassing.
Dammit - I knew they would railroad Pete in some way and he held his own but nothing profound or news worthy came from this - it was just so sanatised and meh...........................
“Bust up” is said so many times that this feels like a comedy sketch
peter is an intelligent bloke....i wish they hadnt just talked to him like some tabloid stereotype....i got the feeling they were talking down to him and i think he did to....ask him his views on politics, it is a politics show ffs. Hope your still doing well in recovery peter.
Richie P. Reader he isn't though.
mfcgavin
Relapse is common
"we didn't play that badly" haha
Andrew Neil seems obsessed with the word "bust-up"
Stewart Lee has let himself go.
bust up, bust up bust up, bust up, bust up
"OHHH sorry I thought you meant the bust-up took three weeks to do...not the Bataclan"
take a shot everytime someone says bustup
Granny don't walk too well anymore - so yes, bus stops are essential.
Edit: Seriously, who gave this interview the go ahead? It's a bit surreal.
It was michael Howard who spoke about you in parliament Peter. .
Pete Turns up at 1.18, just after Mary Beard.
ChubbyChecker182 Turns up is kinda stretching it. Nah, I love old Pete really. One of us.
What an odd interview.
and doherty looks old allready
already has one L...so does Alfredo

I absolutely love Pete Doherty and his work and his contribution to music and what he does to rock has changed the scene totally
Though he did milk the crowds empathy towards his so called poetic drug issues , maybe he made a million pounds of it and lived in a nice comfy life but when When will he stop acting the troubled poet when can he just freaken stop acting up
Come on Pete get back to our old great self the 2007 to 2011 Peter there was an air of mystery now he's like always talking bullshit before he would think before and would seriously have something unique and funny about him
This ain't the Peter we know he's not being anymore material out the same songs we have to hear him murder , it's like how Carl Barat said in the song " u half become a karaoke singer and half mudererd our song "
There's some talent here raw but he also I know for sure understood the dynamic between audience empathy and that emotional connection
Once u milk it then people don't feel fconnected or sorry for u
Stop Pete it's embarrassing
Before it bought some intensity and realism to the feelings ur songs evoked now they are empty vessels for ur postnpete great self , look ur 38 we need music that reflects a 38 year old
The story of a 38 year old ain't confused
Ain't left out it's a person who's evolved understood the world and bringing solutions u have some great talent , look at the Lumineers bring music for the 38 year olds being stories of love, hope and being alone
Politics ain't ur game Pete it really aint somewhere from what I've said please bring back the old Pete the 2007to 2011 bit without the drunken slurry and stupid "fuck forever " dance moves

wierd - nothing to do with anything
wake up Pete!
What stupid immature question
Expensive hot air
Love him but he's not looking great these days.
Ross N He looks fine :S
Dammit - I knew they would railroad Pete in some way and he held his own but nothing profound or news worthy came from this - it was just so sanatised and meh...........................
what the fuck is a bust up
Bus stop?
Sabertooth Turtle LOL
An argument/dissagreement that results in the end of a friendship

Falling out with someone/having a row/barney
