People just up and forget about dark rebellion dragon being the quintessential rank 4 beater. Even after that there’s utopia the lightning.
But what people are also forgetting is the dark rebellion xyz dragon targets which can be an issue nowadays. And you need to waste to extra slots for utopia. People are not wrong on them being better but this xyz just comes in strong and at 3k there are few things he needs to use his eff to beat over utopias eff get negated you've literally just wasted your time. Lol now is this better then the other 2 cards? No but you can't say it doesn't have its strength vs the other 2.
Finally, something I can use Komouri dragon and blackland fire dragon in a rabbit deck lmao

This card is another reason why I love using Keeper of the Shrine in Rokkets, it's a Level 4 Dark Dragon that can special summon itself when a Dragon monster on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect. It's PERFECT to use in Rokkets, and it's another great option to summon this card

Keeper of the shrine is a dark lvl 4 dragon type monster too, and can special summon itself if a dragon type you control is destroyed, it ain’t much but it is something
I don't know how that's a point if 2 level 4s make 5000 with the lightning and 10000 with utopia double.
yeah but the "downside" is that you're using 2 extra deck slots for said lightining's 5000 atk, or 2 extra deck slots and running a copy of double or nothing in your deck (a bad brick) for utopia double, for this you only need to use 1 extra deck slot for this xyz monster......
but yeah lightning is totally more practical than this for pure beatstick power (also "your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step" when lightning attacks, a super good effect that I only recently found out about!)
Actually it doesn't go to 10000 it specifically says on the card that it goes to 5000 utopia the lightning doesn't double it's attack.

I think, Dark Rebellion Dragon is more comparable with this, because it takes only one Extra deck slot.
@@bartabeta4287 the "downside" to that is that it involves targeting another monster for a power boost and reduction, utopia the lightning can beat a monster that is unaffected by cars effects but is susceptible to battle

Phantom knights' launch requires you to control an xyz without materials, this only loses on material for its effect, so you can't summon it immediately on your opp turn (not your turn because special summon restriction from xcharge)

RedKaZero AMVs Don’t need to. Use launch on a Break Sword after fog blading it to special summon from grave. Its possible just not necessary when Break sword will summon Dark Reb from grave effect and then rank up in Dark Req instead.
This is an ok card overall. Yes it has restrictions and due to its effect is a niche card, but in a close game reviving a Borrelsword or a Borreload(to steal opponent's strong monster) could potentially win you the game. It could be better, but I'm definitely going to play it
This is clearly a comeback card.
Your opponent has 3-5 monsters on the field and you can make this, revive borrelsword kill one with this and two with sword.
I would recommend to side this against monster spam decks
The targeting protection from monsters and the attack stat are the best things about this.
Would still rather run dark rebellion dragon.

As a rokket main. I, sometimes consider this. But only when I desperately need a borrel monster on the field at that moment. I agree. It’s restrictions are the only thing holding this card back from being good. But I only play it if I really can’t think of anything else to play

This is just my justification for running Imperial Iron wall in the main deck in Rokkets. I mean Link Turret made it enticing but this makes it actually a pretty good thing. I mean my only issue is the banish in the end phase so if you can't banish, AND you get more use out of Link Turret, that's a good enough reason for me.
"Unnecessary Restrictions" = Rank 4 and lower XYZ of 2019 = Konami's Balancing.
Rank 4 3000 Attack is very good. Thing is, people’s standard is now Utopia Lightning if you want a Rank 4 XYZ beater so unless this card’s effect and protection have any relevance, it won’t be used at all.

3k atk is enough for a rank 4 xyz monster without effect, its really easy to summon, this is a good back up card. when ur opponet hit ur borrel, u can use it to bring its back easy

Well, nope. Not wasting any money on it. Dark Rebellion is still the best Rank 4 Dark Dragon beater (and Utopia the Lightning is the best Xyz beater, regardless of Ranks).

It doesn’t need more effects, it needs less restrictions. If it was generic to make or if it didn’t banish during the end phase or if it didn’t have the ss/direct atk restriction it’d be better
I'd say lose the restriction and just have its effect only be "once per turn, you can detach 1 xyz material from this card then select one monster on the field, it loses 600 attck as long as this card remains face up on the field" all the other stuff is unnecessary

you can still otk easily if your opponents has a few monsters which in the link meta there gonna have a few especially if you bring back a borrel sword dragon depending on how big there monster are you can otk with just xCharge and borrel sword, granted you would have needed to summon borrelsword and for it to have died but still being to go for an otk through your opponents board at the cost of 4 rank for isnt to bad.
I am still waiting for Blue eyes xyz monster that has additional effect when Blue eyes white dragon is attached to it.

As a rokket player...no...wont be running this at all...it does absolutely nothing for the deck since the rokkets monsters have to be targeted by a LINK monster to get their first effects...its just a vanilla 3k beater essentially cuz ur not going to use its effect at all...id rather summon booster dragon than this garbage

I am pretty bummed that instead of giving Topologics a different ED method card, they gave Varrel Load another one. I was hoping that Topologics would get an xyz.

Its also disappointing that means this monster most likely going to be the one that tears Lightning apart in Revolver's duel with him instead of a Topologic getting to wreck Lightning. Like I wanted to see the other Ignis's reaction to the Topologic cards(and seeing Lightning getting wrecked hard by said Topologics. Just imagine the look on his face as his board gets torn to pieces by one of those things)
As for xCharge's effect, the whole "you can't SS monsters for the rest of the turn nor attack directly" is just freaking unnecessary. Like too much of a restriction. Same with the banish-risk downside on the monster it revives.
At least have it revive any DARK monster or dragon than locking it to Varrel.
sooo, if you fail to OTK with Borrelsword Dragon for the first time and Borrelsword Dragon is now in your GY, you can revive Borrelsword Dragon with Borreload xCharge Dragon and try to OTK again...
Would've been much better if it had no restriction and summoned a "Rokket" monster from the graveyard instead to balance it instead of having restrictions, or if that's somehow too good just keep the attack directly restriction but not the "You can't special summon monsters for the rest of this turn".
