I’m surprised they never made a Vrains tie in given how closely this format was tied to that anime. Yu-Gi-Oh has been booming in Japan, and while the numbers are technically going up here in the west, it’s clear players have many issues. Speed Duels being a western only product was such a smart way to address all the issues western players have. The death of Speed Duels feels two fold. One part on fans for not embracing it more (it’s everything boomers have asked for) and then also on Konami for not only failing to advertise more, but making almost every product a DM nostalgia set. The idea to transition to a box set was a genius move, but in the end it seems the writing is on the wall. Good news is even if it’s gone, there’s nothing to stop us fans from continuing the product. This isn’t a digital game, so being snapped away won’t erase all the. Cards we own. As long as us fans exist, so too does the format. My hope is they release Rush Duels but keep the box format. I can’t see Rush Duels surviving as a standard TCG here in the west, but as a box product where you get the full set(s) in just one box to either play with friends or competitively? Hell yeah! P.S. Glad to see you happy with the content, this is one of my favorite YugiTube channels by a mile, keep making fun content!
Absolutely agree and couldn't have said it better. A lot could've been done different to save this format because it's genuinely so much fun. But I guess we'll have to just really wait and see what they do Also, tha kyou so much for the support and kind words. It genuinely means so much knowing that my content is being enjoyed. Really appreciate it. More to come for sure!!
Speed Duels best format. I'll hold onto the hope that Konami picks it back up in the future. Great video covering the place Speed Duels is at right now. Load up the videos! Always fun to see new deck profiles.
The way they worded it, it sounds very unclear when they'll actually revive them. We just have to wait in suspense to see what they'll do. Hopefully we won't be waiting too long. I love Speed Duels
Hey this is honestly crazy, I am also a yugi-vtuber and I was just about to start making speed duel content because the tcg banlist disapointed me! Guess thats not really a viable option anymore especially since I am in Europe 😢
You and me both friend...You and me both. I think still work on the Speed Duel content still tho. The only problem I have with Speed Duels going on standby is that the format will come to a halt because there's no cards or changes being made
@@reiji_vt4262 Yeah it’s something I worry about too, it is a shame that the closest thing we have to speed duel digitally is a Konami cash grab that has developed way to far (Duel Links)
I liked speed duel, mainly because I started yugioh in the Arc v era and my favourite series is GX, so it was an easy way get the old cards GX characters. But I like Rush Duel too, it's a better side format and the card arts of the new and old cards are beautiful. So I'm sad because speed duel ending, but happy because there's a change we finally get rush duel in the tcg, but I'm saw what konami did in tcg I'm not sure they will not screw it too. I'm afraid they made short prints, worse sets and after Dragon Master Magia it seems really likely.
Here's hoping that we do see Ruah Duels come to the west because Rush Duels are actually super fun. Hopefully if they do come around, Konami doesn't fumble it with short prints and rarity locked cards. But here's hoping 🙏🏾
Every Yugioh series should get an equal number of Speed Duel boxes to the amount of seasons that series had. GX had 4 seasons and 4 boxes, so GX should be done entirely.
For real. The decision to put them on hold is mad frustrating because trying to teach someone the game through the main master format can be all sorts of problematic sometimes. Speed Duels is the game simplified down to its core and that's what make it so much easier for people to then transition into the main master format. Just gonna have to do our best until Konami decides to kick them back into gear
Wish they got to do stuff with the orichalcos arc or hell a yugioh R themed set wouldve been cool. I really liked these sets, since they helped me make character decks

Yo, appreciate the support for real! Will definitely be cracking onto some new profiles soon
This is a great opportunity to bring over Rush Duels instead.
Fingers crossed for Rush Duels...
"Pausing for a rest". So not all hope is lost.
That's the hope. Let's hope we see Speed Duels make a comeback in the near future 🤞🏾
Are we SURE it’s not just a hiatus? Speed Duels went on a 2-year break just a couple of uears ago.

I won’t play the speed duel mode but I will use the speed duel deck in tournaments

@@ChazStarkey-c3z YEESS!!! I fully agree! Seeing a 5DS and Zexal themed Speed Duel sets would've been amazing with he framework
@@reiji_vt4262 So by that logic Duel Monsters ahould get 2 more Boxes, since it had 5 seasons.
Speed duels was the only way I was able to get anyone into this game. How you gonna teach someone modern TCG?

That would've been so dope honestly! I wish they just moved beyond Battle City in general
@reiji_vt4262 like i get it, lot of other characters they missed. 2 was enough, now its just overkill
Just move on to Yugioh 5D's Speed Duel sets already.
i think the biggest thing is the cards arnt worth anything. so no incentive for people to buy
