- In this video, I run the 2023 LA Marathon. I got into this race 3 days before the race kicked off, so it was very last second. I spent a total of 36 hours in LA for this trip and I loved every second of it. The energy in LA is unreal on race day and I would recommend it to anyone.

How many months you trained?
@@chinoscars5655 got back into running pretty aggressively from june-december 2022 and then stuck to a specific training plan from january - march!
Dude that’s an amazing time for any runner let alone your first time!!!

I was a track and X-country runner, after college moved to 5Ks and 8Ks. Several (loooong) years ago, I ran my first half. It was amazing! Train smart, take care of yourself and you'll do great! Have fun!!!

How do I fix my lower back when running? I’m in real tight pain when I’m about 2mi in
Could be sciatica, but no way of knowing for sure without more info. Personally I’d see a physical therapist for diagnosis, some do free consultations and they’ll have more context and give better advice than strangers on the internet. In the meantime, it can’t hurt to do some yoga and strengthening exercises. SAM routines from Dr Jay Johnson are good for hitting all those spots we runners neglect.
that used to happen to me, it was just a lack of endurance thing. Do some lower back strength training, and foam roll it. Keep running and it'll get stronger.

They are like a snack you can consume while running and they have caffeine in some of them. They are pretty good and they give them out at races sometimes.

I think Kofuzi has been distance running for several yrs longer than him, so yeah, I’d expect Kofuzi to have better stats. I believe this guy started as a football athlete and only recently took up running
I don't get it you train hard and you go yolo on races, are you afraid of the failure? How is possible not caring about time when you train all day? I am not hating just curious I am doing 1/10 of your train sessions and I am super competitive even 1 sec plays a role for me.
