Bruce Benson - true, like the World Premiere of Florets, 13 yo Grace singing and dancing on the stage .. she finds the hidden deeper meaning in catchy well-known music, really remarkable !! I love 😍 to watch her dancing ! .. as expressive as Alonzo King Ballet or Pina Bausch Dance Company ... iIf she would be even more perfect, her feet would not touch the ground.
This is what is great about Grace; she sings a song because it gives her pleasure to sing it.(The River would be another example) She's not obsessing about demographics or what song might advance her career. Which, of course, just makes more people love her and advances her career.
I was lucky enough to be at the Bangor concert, and I can say without a doubt, that there is much more to her voice when listening to her live. So much of the really great nuances of her singing is lost during recording. This song was just wonderful to listen to. I also think that she is quickly outgrowing her old songs ( she is growing up so fast that what she wrote 6 months ago probably seems like a completely different period of her life), and is itching to write and perform some new songs. But Stargirl first !
She is so natural; just moves based on how she feels. Which makes her mesmerizing. And you can see why she is going to be so good in Stargirl; she's a natural actress.
