Alrighty, Also, I loved the first three Michael Bay Transformers films more than the last two. I just pretend age of Extinction and the last knight Never existed.
There’s no way this could possibly be a prequel unless they’re remaking the 2007 movie with this continuity. Unicron is flying around eating planets, Scorponok is a Predacon, Optimus has the Matrix of Leadership, Bumblebee just has a few similarities to Bayverse Bee, Mirage doesn’t have an Italian accent. No way it’s a prequel. This is a reboot.
Optimus has the matrix? I don’t remember this. Also, yeah. The director stating that this movie will "protect the 2006/2007 part of the universe" seems to indicate that they’re restarting from the first movie. Which based, if true.
I'd prefer it to be a reboot. To be honest, the tineline in the Bay-verse got way too confusing. In the first one, it seemed that the Transformers were pretty new to Earth, and I'm pretty sure Optimus lands with the other Autobots in that film. Then, as the films went on, it turned out that the Transformers had been involved throughout Humanity's history, The Last Knight even saying that Bumblebee was in WW2..... ZB-7, I believe they called him. And yet, in the film 'Bumblebee' he lands on Earth during the 80s, after Prime tells him that he's only just found Earth, and that will be a safe haven.... So..... I believe it's a reboot, but the studio just doesn't want to acknowledge it for some reason. Like I said, I'd prefer it as it gives them a chance to give a more.... coherent plot. But I'm not opposed to that Multiverse/Time travel theory.
@@datguytino But he does land on Earth in Bumblebee because he lands in the middle of John Cena's team training, which is part of the reason why he's hunted down in that film, he is then hurt badly by either the humans or the deception that finds him, which causes him to shut down.
My guy, Bumblebee is not a part of Bayverse. It should be clear as day that it is a reboot, given how wildly different everything is. From the Transformers themselves, to the appereance each one has, to the backstory of Sector 7, to Cybertron's CIvil War not causing the planet to be destroyed. As for The Last Knight, yeah, they even have Colonial-era paintings of Ironhide tugging ships around and Bronce statues of Optimus' knight form. That fucked up the continuity beyond belief.
@@UncleAsmos2005 I didn't see the Ironhide painting, but I did notice the Bronze Optimus, after watching it recently, to see if it was really as bad as I remembered. I don't know if it's supposed to Optimus or just another Transformer, and they just redesigned Optimus to fit them. I'm not defending TLK as I do feel that film wrecked the timeline, AoE wasn't great, but it still fit in well. I am confused about why they won't just come out and admit either one as I put as a reply in someone else comment, I think people are just frustrated that they haven't given us a simple answer, once they give us that answer all this arguing will go away.

@@KunaiLeech Sad really cause I watched the Bay movies but after the trashfire that was TLK, I was MORE than ready for a reboot and I liked Bumblebee. The movies are an inconsistent nightmare of continuity but I'll just point to the fact that in TLK, Unicron was Earth itself (a plot point taken from Transformers Prime) while here we see him in his classic depiction. That's how you know it's a reboot not a prequel and I wish they would stop "both sidesing" it causing unnecessary confusion.
I just hope that they're able to pull this unicorn trilogy off well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good writing, and being more faithful to the source material
Unicron is a planet size mecha kaiju. Its mass is so large it even has strong gravity. With its size it can house BILLIONS of minions. I wish they can make it a Transformer version of Helms Deep that you know eventually they will win but worrying they might lose in the process.
ever since the 3rd movie, i started looking at the movies as its own episode. i made my peace with it and just accepted that movies doesnt need to be connected. in that way, i was able to enjoy each movie within it's own bubble and its own premise, not worried about the implications of events for the previous or future movies. so for me, it's neither a prequel or reboot. it's just another episode of Transformers. and i will enjoy it just how i enjoyed the previous movies. :)

The problem is not that they are not interconnected, because that doesn't matter if the story doesn't need to be like that, the problem is that the movies are incompetent in following what the previous established, not only in story but things like personalities and traits of the characthers, since when Bee can detach every part of his body and don't die? In the first movie he lost his legs in battle and clearly was traumatic and desabilitating to him, but then in The Last Night he just pulls a LEGO ability never established before nor explained after. As for the story everyone already knows, every Bayformers sequel retconned the previous in what the Transformers are and what they are doing in earth. The movies fail in basic idea of being a sequel and just do whatever in each movie.

When he dies and then gets resurrected by the Primes, the Matrix glows blue, implying that all of the knowledge that was in Sam's brain about the Transformers is now in the Matrix. The very same Matrix is used to revive Optimus Prime, who houses it in his spark chamber. Him knowing about earth being cyberformed by their creators is a pretty big possibility. Both origins don't contradict one another either, since some9ne would have had to make the bodies that would be given life by the Allspark.
It seems it's leaning towards a reboot. Bumblebee made his 1st landing 1987 but doesn't mention his history in WWII. Soundwave is supposedly working with NASA and Soviet Space Program but instead, he's on Cybertron. There was a comic that came out a year after Bumblebee that tried to connect BB's film with the Bay movies.

Also a 3rd possibility could too be that they are removing Movie 5 from canon and keeping 1-4 intact, as if you remove movie 5, Bee and ROTB could easily work as prequels to Movie 1-4, only issues we could have is S7 acting like they didn't knew abotu TF's despite the organization being built around them keeping check on TFs, but other than that they could easily fit if you take Movie 5 out.

Bayverse and the aoe&tlk movies are connected,in the last knight,bumblebee is in ww2,and in the bumblebee movie the autobots first went to earth in the 90's
in the first movie, the autobots and decepticon went to earth in search of the cube, in BB the autobots flee their home because they took an L and got ratio'd with soundwave and shockwave. BB landed on earth as he was told too as he labelled it as a suitable Base of Operations, the decepticons never knew where they went until shatter and dropkick tracked BB's signal to earth, at the end of the movie Shatter and dropkick creating a beacon for the decepticons, to tell them that earth is ripe for the taking, and got word that prime would show up, that failed when Bee blew it up. (megatron's absence in the fight on cybertron is weird but before optimus came in to help his autobots, where was he then? because he looked to be in a hurry, megatron probably fought him and lost and probably pulled a palpatine and told prime he knew where their backup planet is because he probably caught prime looking at earth and it's energon readings)

Its a reboot because in TLK, Bumblebee & HotRod fought in WW2, and WW2 is 1945, right? In the Bumblebee movie, Bee landed on Earth during 1987, so that clearly means that it IS a reboot, and ROTB is it's sequel. Its a reboot, not a prequel.

Originally before the reshoots, Bee was on the run from the military and he split off from Hot Rod. After the reshoots, the connections to WWII were dropped.
They’ve been indecisive about what’s a prequel/sequel or reboot for this series since Age of Extinction. 🤣 AoE ended up being a sequel as it’s development went on despite the new cast. Bumblebee was intended to be a prequel (hence Sector 7’s involvement), yet ended up being a reboot. Which is for the best seeing as how much The Last Knight alone retconned so many story elements. I’m glad they’re starting fresh, with Rise of the Beasts being a proper continuation from Bumblebee and it’s own upcoming trilogy.

They already did something like this with the DOTM prequel comics where they had Mirage and Wheeljack looking completely different and they explained that away by having them get blown up, in need of heavy repairs A lot can happen between 1994 and 2007.
At this point it could go either way. I could easily see them trying to follow the marvel multiverse stuff. Although me personally I hope this is not connected. This was by far the most convoluted question..There are people who says that it is while the others say its a reboot..Then you have another outlandish idea where Unicron is actually Bayverse Unicron except he had the ability to travel through the multiverse and that Scourge is Bayverse Optimus considering some minor similarities you see..I personally feel like it being the idea of a fully fledged reboot is a good thing as it gives more freedom on what they want to do next..Problem with trying to make Bayverse connected to the so called reboot is lore itself..If you look at other prequel movies like star wars for example they were able to maintain the lore by keeping it aligned and consistent,But for transformers im not sure how this will work unless it did some of those stuff i mention at the top
If you knew anything about transformers, youd know theres only 1 unicron. Its the same one from the movie, comics and shows. He can shift to other dimensions......that how he became a giant planet in the first place. Primus exists simultaneously in all dimensions. They are gods, not robots.
The current rumor I’ve heard is that they’re looking to ignore the canon established in 4 and 5 as that’s when things got complicated so they’ve effectively stricken 4 and 5 from canon but have kept the original trilogy (hence why unicron can appear in the trailer)
There is a theory ROTB will open with Unicron destroying Earth and Cybertron. The Maximals travel back to the 1970s or a different timeline in attempts to prevebt Unicron from destroying Earth. Unicron proceeds to forge Optimus to Scourge and sends him to this timeline to prevent the Maximals from succeeding.
What if: Unicron in ROTB is actually Unicron from Bayverse, in which Quintessa succeeds in reviving him, destroying Earth as we know it. He somehow ends up in another parallel universe but loses his time travel powers. He sends the Terracons to find a device that will grant him those powers back. And guess where he can find it? No other than from himself - Earth.
I think it is a reboot, while sharing different things with the Bayverse. Yet it is it's own thing. It is like cutting two slices of a pizza. The pieces are from the same source, but the topings on it are in different places.
my only problem of it being a prequel is that in 2007's arrival to earth scene it makes it clear that other than bumblebee that's all of their first times on earth. now this makes sense for all of the autobots except optimus, seeing as hes already on earth in this, heavily suggesting that this is a reboot, unless at some point before the 07 film he leaves earth in order to retrieve the autobots from tf1, returning in 07 to earth for the first time in a long time, making it more clear why he talks more alien like in it, trying to understand the new technological norms of the 07 world that he's not used to, seeing as he remembers the 94' era more, and understanding how people speak differently terms wise in the 07 one compared to the 94' speech he's used to.
This film is the sequel to the bumblebee film which is a reboot of the TF movie series. The other 5 films are it's own thing. Hence the two different origins for Unicorn

Their desighns arn't a problem, they cpould always reformat their bodies. But yah, the only way this could make sense is either it's just a new seperate universe with some similarities, or somwhere durign the war on CYbertron things went different, resulting in the Transformers not landing on Earth and apearing througout history like Bee during World War 2, rather history plays out still in a similar way just with the TFs arriving a little later, such as Bee in the 80s and Prime with a small team, I think it would be cool and kind of tragic if they sort of continued Last Knight's story by having the Maximals created on CYbertron by Quintessa, they fail to stop Unicron from waking and he devestates Earth as he wakes, devours Cybertron for fuel, then reformats a captured Optimus into Scourge, and they time travel to the past, history plays out differently, and now Unicron is arriving planning to decour his past self while it's still dormant as Earth, with Movie Prime now as Scourge and leading the Terrocons acting as heralds trying to find some object of importance, we know they're looking for something, the Maximals and Predacons also traveled back in time and hid out on Earth, and now the events of the new film plays out, acting as a reboot yet also concluding the Movieverse in some epic yet tragic way.
It's simple, you got people in denial that cling onto their nostalgia so hard they refuse to accept any official confirmations that these 2 movies aren't prequels
i really hope they don't connect it with the bay movies. they had their moments, but as a whole they really sucked, especially when it came to writing the transformers as likable characters. i want to watch this new optimus grow into something greater than the killing machine of the bay films, and i want to see the decepticon/autobot conflict be presented as more than just characterless monsters vs stereotyped good guys. i think we're long overdue for a live action transformers series that actually cares about transformers.

I have a theory that this new reboot universe connects to 2007 and only 2007 because it only ever seems to tie into that movie and they never mention anything about its sequels when talking about it. they're trying to "protect that side of the universe", the side in question is TF2007 but not rotf, dotm etc. it makes sense. Optimus slowly evolved to look more like his bay counterpart with the mouth, feet, and Energon axes. also in the bumblebee movie the tie ins to 07 are crazy with agent Simmons and the ending. i could be wrong but i think this is what they're trying to go for. i dont rlly care either way
It makes sense for the events of ROTB to never be mentioned in the Bayverse movies because a majority of the battles took place in locations devoid of human witnesses as shown in the trailers as for the giant black cloud that could easily be covered as a natural disaster or something the museum fight doesn’t seem to have humans except the main two other than that all of Peru seems to have very little humans and the final battle is in a very remote area same thing with the Bumblebee movie all the battles were in areas where human citizens were not present only the military and Charlie

Prequel or Rebooted, Bay's Transformers trilogy films will otherwise subject to remake (just like the same treatment for Zack Snyder's Justice League) to fit the continuity of both Bumblebee and Rise of the Beast, specially since Bumblebee arrived from Cybertron to Earth at 1977 instead of WW2 era.
The Director wants the film to be just a seqwal to Bumblebee and the Producer wants it in the Bayverse still but also not....The producer want his cake and eat it to,If you want more money just leave the Bayverse behind at this point I'm sure Michael Bay does not care at this point 😂
So explain to me why the 2007 Transformers movie shows us that the autobots arrive on Earth (in 2007 movie time), but now we see that they were already here in 94'? We never saw Bumblebee arrive on Earth, so that seems legit tbh (he was here in 87 already, maybe even earlier) Optimus Prime though arrived with the 3 other autobots at the start of the first movie. What if bayverse transformers actually failed saving their universe from unicron? What if that unicron used transwarp technology to slip to a different universe? Rhinox in beast wars said it best that they could be anywhere at anytime

Reboot. From what we’ve seen so far it is a full on reboot. Now Bumblebee I’ll give a benefit of doubt since originally it was supposed to be a prequel but since the director changed some things with the film it became a semi reboot semi Prequel. “A Pre-Boot” if you will. Now with Rise of the Beasts, it is a full on reboot, why? - Bumblebee arrives in the 1st movie in 2007 thanks to the game tie in and later Retconned in The Last Knight where instead he arrives in WW2. But in his solo movie he arrives in 1986. - Optimus also arrived in 2007 in the first film but In Bumblebee he arrived in 1986 and since then stayed on Earth the past 7 years. - Arcee, WheelJack, Mirage and Stratosphere are here on Earth in 1994 while in the bay films Arcee and Stratosphere arrive in 2009, Mirage and WheelJack in 2011. - Unicron is shown in the second trailer as his own entity but somehow becomes Earth in TLK? Like how? - Also noticed they never mention the Allspark or Megatron? If it really was a prequel to the Michael Bay movies wouldn’t either of these 2 be the main goal? The Decepticons haven’t learned of Earth yet in this timeline so if it was a prequel it would be very vital to the Autobots to know about this. -Also I know transformers can change and adapt in size to what they scan but their is no way that the designs of the Bay Movies are the same as the ones in Rise of the Beasts. I dare anyone to give me one good reason why Arcee, WheelJack, and Mirage are supposed to share the same design as the same character. Let me remind you that all the tie in material for Bayverse was decanonized by Michael Bay personally 12 years ago so no Bumblebee and ROTB are in fact prequels that alone completely destroys your claim
All Bumblebee does is decanonize AOE and TLK if you watch the first 3 movies alone you will find no evidence of Unicron being Earth also have you stopped to consider that Mirage Arcee and Wheeljack have all been on Earth since the 90s? Because for whatever reason they’re never given an explanation as to how they got to Earth in the first 3 movies also there’s a curious line Optimus says in ROTF “for the last two years an advanced team of new Autobots have taken refuge here under my command” however if that’s true that means Sideswipe Jolt Chromia Elita 1 and the Twins are the only refuges that arrived after 2007 while Arcee was always on Earth doing her own thing it’s also been noted that Transformers can become accustomed to the location they’re in Mirage has an accent in DOTM while in ROTB he doesn’t it’s also been confirmed Mirage loves Earth’s cultures so if he has been on Earth since the 90e he must’ve taken an extended vacation to Italy and developed an accent along the way same can be said for Wheeljack

That is not a strong argument on them being connected, in the Bayverse timeline, Bumblebee lost his voice to Megatron when he launched the Allspark off Cybertron, and during the scene in TLK we can see Bee doesn't have his voice during the WW2 scene when he fights with Hot Rod, meaning he lost his voice BEFORE 1945 but yet when in the Bumblebee movie, his fight with Blitzwing on earth where he losses his voice than, happens in the late 80s, this making it a contradiction to its already established timeline but then Bumbelbee has many contradictions to the original Bayverse timeline.
If you ask me transformers should've taken a 10-15 year break after bumblebee before rebooting. The general public already has a very low opinion of the transformers franchise and rebooting immediately after 10 years of nonstop bad movies will only serve to make general audiences dislike the franchise even more.

That may seem like a long time but it's really not. And if general audiences don't like transformers the movies don't make money, and if the movies don't make money we don't get more movies. Plus after 10-15 years people who grew up watching the Bay movies will feel nostalgic and be more inclined to check out the new iteration.

Ideas to connect the movies. "Unicton uses the energy from the ecosystems he's ingested to become". What if Unicron is destroyed at the end of ROTB but his life essence or spark is somehow transferred into earths core? Or his core when he is destroyed crashing onto earth like a meteorite and digging into the earth to transform it from the inside. Or it ends with him being torn trough time and space and ending up within earth (with everybody thinking he is destroyed). What if his form in ROTB was a mechanical planet or something which hes his essence/spark was inserted becoming its core. This could also be another Unicron time traveling from a potential future and the Maximals having fled from the future from him.
Very much believe it’s not a reboot at this point with what everyone that’s worked on the film has said and now that time travel and multiverses can be a possibility, like they said there’s no rush to marry the two but they will get there when they get there

As much as people don’t like the last knight it is canon in the bay verse. There is a scene where bumblebee has been on earth at least since WW2 as ZB7 part of the devils brigade. But in the bumblebee movie prime mentions to bee that he found a safe planet and it was earth and it appears that it is bee’s first time there. Also they clearly forgot about how Optimus and the rest of the Autobots were like a protoform design when they got to earth until they scanned their first vehicle.
I'm glad someone else mentioned this about how the Last Knight states that Bumblebee was around during WW2, I believe with Hot Rod, too, and yet in his own film, as you say, it appears to be his first time on Earth.

Im confident in saying its part of a reboot franchise now, the fact Unicron is in his classic design and, well, NOT the Earth kinda proves it. We cant have him be his classic planet eater self AND be within the Earth as he was seen in the last knight lol. Its likely they wanted Bumblebee to have blurred lines between reboot and prequel just incase it flopped, but now its pretty concrete that Bumblebee was a reboot imo. The Maximals are always linked to time travel so that theory is possible. Also, Scourge as a name might have been picked because TLK already used the Nemesis Prime name, its been done before in the cartoons etc lol.

These are the Comics · Transformers (2007) Movie Prequel: Defiance · Transformers (2007) Movie Prequel also a movie called, “Transformers: Beginnings”) · Saga of the Allspark · The Reign of Starscream (2007 Midquel) · Tales of the Fallen · Revenge of the Fallen Official Movie Adaptation · Rising Storm · Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon: Foundation · Dark of the Moon Adaptation This is not the order for the time being. 1. Optimus Prime is more how he is supposed to be or not fully yet. 2. No mention or showing of Megatron. (Granted, the Bumblebee sequel comic, “Sector Seven Adventures: The Battle at Half Dome” does show Megatron on how he looked in the first film but if was truly going to look like that, he and everyone main cast or not would not look different. He would also be mentioned with the Allspark since Sector 7 found him and the Cube together. Megatron is also very feared by both the Autobots and his own team. His name not being uttered would be impossible. Especially by those who are fiercely loyal to him. 3. They are all millions of years old. They would know who they are at this point. 4. No mention of the Allspark. 5. The Allspark was the whole point of the first Transformers film and the Transformers overall. They needed and wanted it to rebuild and bring life back to their home planet, Cybertron. This is both mentioned by Optimus Prime in the beginning speech and for the Autobots reason. The Decepticons wanted it for power, tyranny and to build a new army. A metal fist across the universe.) 6. In the Bay films, Bumblebee was the only Autobot on Earth when he arrived. The same goes for Barricade who was the only Decepticon on Earth. 7. Bumblebee couldn’t be on Earth during World War 2 because not only because of the previous reason but Bumblebee was too busy fighting with everyone in 1987 where there is no way for him to get back his Cybertrionian form. All the Autobots, including Optimus Prime, arrived on Earth in 2007 other than Bumblebee. Not before. 8. No mention of Samuel James Witwicky. 9. No mention of finding Sam Witwicky’s grandfathers' (Archibald Witwicky) glasses, in which, had the Allsparks location imprinted on his glasses. In which, Sam was the keeper of. 10. Arcee is in both Bumblebee and the Bay films. She not only does not look the same (such as color scheme and the fact she has wheels on her back and has legs, but her personality is also different.) Personalities you only see in the prequel comics and tie ins to Revenge of the Fallen. She was also captured by Thundercracker where she was experimented on and had a psychic bond with Elita one and Chromia. 11. Arcee seems to have a relationship with Wheeljack (which, they have started with Transformers Cyberverse) 12. Wheeljack is neither old nor the same look as he is now. They cannot physically age in terms of looks. 13. No mention of the Ark. 14. If Bumblebee was on Earth for 20 Years, his disguise would not change. When he scanned that Camero, it already had rust on it, which Bumblebee did not have in the Bumblebee film. 15. The Autobots and Decepticons are fighting each other and while the reason is unknown, it isn’t for the Allspark because the Decepticons main objectives, besides dominion and tyranny, is to kill the Autobots, specifically Optimus Prime when they try to jump him. 16. Unicron is not Earth as depicted in TF5: The Last Knight. We see Scourge talking to him. And Unicron is bigger than all the planets in Earth’s solar system no matter what continuity. 17. It makes no sense for Optimus Prime or any of the Cybertronians to scan the vehicle modes they have and then scan the vehicle modes they had in 2007-2017. That is not how their biology and science works. 18. In Bumblebee, he lost his voice to Blitzwing when he ripped out his vocal processor. In the Michael Bay films, the prequel comics show that Megatron crushed/tore out his voice and arm at Tyger-Pax. 19. Bumblebee lost his voice in 1987 but in the Bay films he lost his voice to Megatron both of which transpired years before 1987 and before. Megatron was discovered by Sam’s great grandfather in 1897. 20. The Transformers are on Earth in 1987 and in 1994. The point to travel to Earth in Bumblebee was to keep Earth and her people safe, especially since another point for the Autobots was to find refuge and save “their” people. 21. Those who are sent to Earth arrive in space pods in Bumblebee. Both Autobots and Decepticons did not require the usage of space pods since they used their protoform bodies to fly and upon entire on Earth soil in the Bay films. There is no way for them to get back unless they are capable of flight. Otherwise, Bumblebee would have been back. Which begets the next point. 22. No space bridge technology or created from Sentinel Prime, whom of which, only created this technology from the live-action films. 23. No mention of the Fallen (Megatronus Prime) who is a follower of Unicron. 24. Quintessa is irrelevant since Unicron is not Earth. 25. No mention of Charlie. 26. In Age of Extinction when Optimus scanned the original G1 vehicle mode of his, he not only didn’t do that from memory, but his body did not change to that look. When a Transformer scans a vehicle mode, unless they are a triple changer or above, which we know Optimus Prime is not, they have a different look from those new vehicle parts, and he doesn’t. If this was the case, he would not look how he does in the Bay films if they were connected. This is for all Transformers. 27. In Bumblebee, Optimus Prime is in his G1 look. He never had any form of flames on him. 28. Optimus Prime’s Ion Blaster is also different. In concept art of Bumblebee, all the Cybertrionans had vehicle modes that were not from Earth. 29. When Optimus arrives on Earth in the 2007 film, he has flames. He always had flames that are a part of his body before his arrival to Earth and scanning the Peterbuilt 396 Semi-Truck. 30. Optimus Prime only has one Ion Blaster whereas in the Bay films, he has a Blaster that does not look the same nor is the same color and he has other guns that are dual barrage cannons. He only has one. 31. Hasbro made it very hush hush when Bumblebee became successful. 32. Agent Simmons seems to be either a teenager or early twenties adult. In the Bay films he is a middle-aged adult. 33. Brawn is not in the Bay films. 34. The majority of the Autobots and Decepticons have different looks and personalities. 35. Soundwave is on Earth. Not a satellite which he doesn’t need to be when he is the Decepticons communication officer and can produce sound hence his name and would have gotten transmissions from Shatter and Dropkick. 36. Rumble was not in the Bay films. 37. If Rumble and Frenzy were in the same film together, they would look the same but different colors. Frenzy was with Barricade in the 2007 film not with Soundwave. 38. Bumblebee has two Plasma Cannons. Not one. And it always shoots a red-orange blast than choosing between blue or red. 39. Bumblebee would have mentioned Charlie. 40. Unicron is G1 colors and look and not black in the Last Knight. 41. No mention of the Maximals or Terrorcons. 42. Mirage is a Porche and not a Bugatti nor is he red. 43. No mention of Stratosphere. 44. No mention of an Exosuit for a human. 45. No mention of how Bumblebee was able to use the radio in the 2007 film. 46. In Bumblebee, Shockwave’s arm cannon is his left as it should be. In the Dark of the Moon movie, it is on his right. And he has a mouth. 47. Scorponok is not Earth. He was with Blackout the entire time when he was in the 2007 film. 48. Bumblebee has a blade in his left arm, and he never had one in the Bay films. 49. Mirage doesn’t have an accent. 50. Optimus Prime had his trailer in Bumblebee upon arrival whereas in the 2007 film he didn’t have it until Dark of the Moon. Granted, he had a trailer to put Jazz’s body in but he didn’t have it for the whole film.

I mean they could do it but they would need to make an obvious difference such as one universe isn't as militaristic and the other highly militaristic[Bay series] as usually in the multiverse each AU is meant to have differences. So in the Bee series their less militarized[in away] and came to earth earlier than the Bay series. In the Bay series the only autobot on earth first is Bee but sends a signal to the others to come to earth
The movie is a prequel / retcon of the Transformers movie canon but not a full on reboot. As someone who just watched the movie and seen behind the scene features the movie takes place in the same timeline aka NOT a reboot. Behind the scenes they even mention where this movie takes place chronologically and have placeholders with the film referring it as T7. Although Michael Bay isn’t directing Rise of the Beasts he was on set and still a producer of the film. I can definitely see it take place in the same timeline by retconning a few events. Maybe some of the Autobots left Earth then came back in 2007. That being said, whether you like the Bay, movies or not, the Transformers movies are moving a better direction it feels like. I guess if people don’t really like some stuff they can just not consider certain parts of the movies to be not canon in their head. Maybe some timetravel event will change the Transformers history in the future films. While yes the timeline is really messy, there are way worse continuity errors in other fictional movie universes. If you think about it the Transformers Animated timeline has more continuity errors than these movies yet officially it’s all still in the same canon.
It's a prequel. A completely broken in the timeline prequel, but it's a prequel. The director and producer interviews have made it clear that's their intent. But they're trying to draw audiences in by saying it's a "new storytelling universe" while also saying we'll see how things lead into Transformers 2007. So, like I said, a prequel that is completely broken in terms of timeline. Though after TLK and now Bumblebee this is nothing new.
If its a reboot and sequel to Bumblebee it makes no sense cause of the huge changes in character design between Bumblebee and this and inclusion of Unicron, cause that would be like if Thanos came after the first Iron Man movie. If its a prequel it doesn't work because if they've already faced *_UNICRON_* before everything else then every other threat would seem trivial in comparison, and its the same if its a reboot and Bumblebee sequel. Megatron returns next movie? "Pffft please no biggie we stomped Unicron, we're gonna steamroll Megs."
Couldn't they just mean that they will protect the story from 2007's Transformers movie. So basically only the first one? Wouldn't be the first time a franchise ignores certain movies within it. For example, Terminator Dark Fate is a direct sequel to Terminator 2, effectively ignoring the others.
Thank God it's a reboot (I believe it's a reboot) and not part of the Bayverse! As far as Bumblebee goes, I still don't believe it is a reboot! I've argued this from day dot and nothing will change my mind unfortunately! However, I do believe RotB is a reboot. It's so different even when compared to Bumblebee. It's almost doing it's own thing. When it comes to Bumblebee though I believe the proof is in the pudding, it's a prequel. I honestly can't believe this argument is STILL relevant all these years later. RotB is definitely a full blown reboot though, no question. If they played their cards right, they'll use the video game 'Rise of the Dark Spark' as the vehicle for creating their own Marvel style 'multiverse' where they can keep the Bay continuity intact, but have BumbleBee in a different continuity, similar, but different.
Your theory of Unicron being sent to the past to become Earth is interesting, but what if the Unicron we're seeing in Rise of the Beasts is actually the one from the Bayverse future being born from the Earth. Optimus being Scourge wouldn't be all that far fetched after all in that scenario. Earth being destroyed and everything on it dying could cause Optimus to become his future herald we see in this prequel. Alternate timelines merging.

There’s no way this could possibly be a prequel unless they’re remaking the 2007 movie with this continuity. Unicron is flying around eating planets, Scorponok is a Predacon, Optimus has the Matrix of Leadership, Bumblebee just has a few similarities to Bayverse Bee, Mirage doesn’t have an Italian accent.

I'd prefer it to be a reboot. To be honest, the tineline in the Bay-verse got way too confusing. In the first one, it seemed that the Transformers were pretty new to Earth, and I'm pretty sure Optimus lands with the other Autobots in that film. Then, as the films went on, it turned out that the Transformers had been involved throughout Humanity's history, The Last Knight even saying that Bumblebee was in WW2..... ZB-7, I believe they called him. And yet, in the film 'Bumblebee' he lands on Earth during the 80s, after Prime tells him that he's only just found Earth, and that will be a safe haven....
So..... I believe it's a reboot, but the studio just doesn't want to acknowledge it for some reason.
Like I said, I'd prefer it as it gives them a chance to give a more.... coherent plot. But I'm not opposed to that Multiverse/Time travel theory.

My guy, Bumblebee is not a part of Bayverse. It should be clear as day that it is a reboot, given how wildly different everything is. From the Transformers themselves, to the appereance each one has, to the backstory of Sector 7, to Cybertron's CIvil War not causing the planet to be destroyed.
As for The Last Knight, yeah, they even have Colonial-era paintings of Ironhide tugging ships around and Bronce statues of Optimus' knight form. That fucked up the continuity beyond belief.
@@UncleAsmos2005 I didn't see the Ironhide painting, but I did notice the Bronze Optimus, after watching it recently, to see if it was really as bad as I remembered. I don't know if it's supposed to Optimus or just another Transformer, and they just redesigned Optimus to fit them. I'm not defending TLK as I do feel that film wrecked the timeline, AoE wasn't great, but it still fit in well.

The movies are an inconsistent nightmare of continuity but I'll just point to the fact that in TLK, Unicron was Earth itself (a plot point taken from Transformers Prime) while here we see him in his classic depiction. That's how you know it's a reboot not a prequel and I wish they would stop "both sidesing" it causing unnecessary confusion.

ever since the 3rd movie, i started looking at the movies as its own episode. i made my peace with it and just accepted that movies doesnt need to be connected. in that way, i was able to enjoy each movie within it's own bubble and its own premise, not worried about the implications of events for the previous or future movies. so for me, it's neither a prequel or reboot. it's just another episode of Transformers. and i will enjoy it just how i enjoyed the previous movies. :)

The problem is not that they are not interconnected, because that doesn't matter if the story doesn't need to be like that, the problem is that the movies are incompetent in following what the previous established, not only in story but things like personalities and traits of the characthers, since when Bee can detach every part of his body and don't die? In the first movie he lost his legs in battle and clearly was traumatic and desabilitating to him, but then in The Last Night he just pulls a LEGO ability never established before nor explained after. As for the story everyone already knows, every Bayformers sequel retconned the previous in what the Transformers are and what they are doing in earth. The movies fail in basic idea of being a sequel and just do whatever in each movie.
I actually write it off as BB and ROTB existing as a parallel timeline to the Bayverse quintology.

Remember how all of the knowledge and history of the Transformers transferred from the Allspark sliver to Sam's brain? When he dies and then gets resurrected by the Primes, the Matrix glows blue, implying that all of the knowledge that was in Sam's brain about the Transformers is now in the Matrix. The very same Matrix is used to revive Optimus Prime, who houses it in his spark chamber.
Him knowing about earth being cyberformed by their creators is a pretty big possibility. Both origins don't contradict one another either, since some9ne would have had to make the bodies that would be given life by the Allspark.
It seems it's leaning towards a reboot. Bumblebee made his 1st landing 1987 but doesn't mention his history in WWII. Soundwave is supposedly working with NASA and Soviet Space Program but instead, he's on Cybertron.

Bayverse and the aoe&tlk movies are connected,in the last knight,bumblebee is in ww2,and in the bumblebee movie the autobots first went to earth in the 90's
in the first movie, the autobots and decepticon went to earth in search of the cube, in BB the autobots flee their home because they took an L and got ratio'd with soundwave and shockwave. BB landed on earth as he was told too as he labelled it as a suitable Base of Operations, the decepticons never knew where they went until shatter and dropkick tracked BB's signal to earth, at the end of the movie Shatter and dropkick creating a beacon for the decepticons, to tell them that earth is ripe for the taking, and got word that prime would show up, that failed when Bee blew it up.
(megatron's absence in the fight on cybertron is weird but before optimus came in to help his autobots, where was he then? because he looked to be in a hurry, megatron probably fought him and lost and probably pulled a palpatine and told prime he knew where their backup planet is because he probably caught prime looking at earth and it's energon readings)

@@ProGametron The easy answer to this is that they all got damaged and had to be rebuilt by Ratchet with veryblimited spare parts. They already did something like this with the DOTM prequel comics where they had Mirage and Wheeljack looking completely different and they explained that away by having them get blown up, in need of heavy repairs A lot can happen between 1994 and 2007.
At this point it could go either way. I could easily see them trying to follow the marvel multiverse stuff. Although me personally I hope this is not connected. The current rumor I’ve heard is that they’re looking to ignore the canon established in 4 and 5 as that’s when things got complicated so they’ve effectively stricken 4 and 5 from canon but have kept the original trilogy (hence why unicron can appear in the trailer)
There is a theory ROTB will open with Unicron destroying Earth and Cybertron. The Maximals travel back to the 1970s or a different timeline in attempts to prevebt Unicron from destroying Earth. Unicron proceeds to forge Optimus to Scourge and sends him to this timeline to prevent the Maximals from succeeding.

I think it is a reboot, while sharing different things with the Bayverse. Yet it is it's own thing. It is like cutting two slices of a pizza. The pieces are from the same source, but the topings on it are in different places.
my only problem of it being a prequel is that in 2007's arrival to earth scene it makes it clear that other than bumblebee that's all of their first times on earth. now this makes sense for all of the autobots except optimus, seeing as hes already on earth in this, heavily suggesting that this is a reboot, unless at some point before the 07 film he leaves earth in order to retrieve the autobots from tf1, returning in 07 to earth for the first time in a long time, making it more clear why he talks more alien like in it, trying to understand the new technological norms of the 07 world that he's not used to, seeing as he remembers the 94' era more, and understanding how people speak differently terms wise in the 07 one compared to the 94' speech he's used to.

Their desighns arn't a problem, they cpould always reformat their bodies. But yah, the only way this could make sense is either it's just a new seperate universe with some similarities, or somwhere durign the war on CYbertron things went different, resulting in the Transformers not landing on Earth and apearing througout history like Bee during World War 2, rather history plays out still in a similar way just with the TFs arriving a little later, such as Bee in the 80s and Prime with a small team, I think it would be cool and kind of tragic if they sort of continued Last Knight's story by having the Maximals created on CYbertron by Quintessa, they fail to stop Unicron from waking and he devestates Earth as he wakes, devours Cybertron for fuel, then reformats a captured Optimus into Scourge, and they time travel to the past, history plays out differently, and now Unicron is arriving planning to decour his past self while it's still dormant as Earth, with Movie Prime now as Scourge and leading the Terrocons acting as heralds trying to find some object of importance, we know they're looking for something, the Maximals and Predacons also traveled back in time and hid out on Earth, and now the events of the new film plays out, acting as a reboot yet also concluding the Movieverse in some epic yet tragic way.
It's simple, you got people in denial that cling onto their nostalgia so hard they refuse to accept any official confirmations that these 2 movies aren't prequels

It gives me a headache watching it, not due to the terrible story, but the constant aspect ratio changes. I have no reason to re watch that film
i really hope they don't connect it with the bay movies. they had their moments, but as a whole they really sucked, especially when it came to writing the transformers as likable characters. i want to watch this new optimus grow into something greater than the killing machine of the bay films, and i want to see the decepticon/autobot conflict be presented as more than just characterless monsters vs stereotyped good guys. i think we're long overdue for a live action transformers series that actually cares about transformers.

I have a theory that this new reboot universe connects to 2007 and only 2007 because it only ever seems to tie into that movie and they never mention anything about its sequels when talking about it. they're trying to "protect that side of the universe", the side in question is TF2007 but not rotf, dotm etc. it makes sense. Optimus slowly evolved to look more like his bay counterpart with the mouth, feet, and Energon axes. also in the bumblebee movie the tie ins to 07 are crazy with agent Simmons and the ending. i could be wrong but i think this is what they're trying to go for. i dont rlly care either way
It makes sense for the events of ROTB to never be mentioned in the Bayverse movies because a majority of the battles took place in locations devoid of human witnesses as shown in the trailers as for the giant black cloud that could easily be covered as a natural disaster or something the museum fight doesn’t seem to have humans except the main two other than that all of Peru seems to have very little humans and the final battle is in a very remote area same thing with the Bumblebee movie all the battles were in areas where human citizens were not present only the military and Charlie

Prequel or Rebooted, Bay's Transformers trilogy films will otherwise subject to remake (just like the same treatment for Zack Snyder's Justice League) to fit the continuity of both Bumblebee and Rise of the Beast, specially since Bumblebee arrived from Cybertron to Earth at 1977 instead of WW2 era.

- Bumblebee arrives in the 1st movie in 2007 thanks to the game tie in and later Retconned in The Last Knight where instead he arrives in WW2. But in his solo movie he arrives in 1986.
- Optimus also arrived in 2007 in the first film but In Bumblebee he arrived in 1986 and since then stayed on Earth the past 7 years.
- Arcee, WheelJack, Mirage and Stratosphere are here on Earth in 1994 while in the bay films Arcee and Stratosphere arrive in 2009, Mirage and WheelJack in 2011.
- Unicron is shown in the second trailer as his own entity but somehow becomes Earth in TLK? Like how?
- Also noticed they never mention the Allspark or Megatron? If it really was a prequel to the Michael Bay movies wouldn’t either of these 2 be the main goal? The Decepticons haven’t learned of Earth yet in this timeline so if it was a prequel it would be very vital to the Autobots to know about this.
-Also I know transformers can change and adapt in size to what they scan but their is no way that the designs of the Bay Movies are the same as the ones in Rise of the Beasts. Because for whatever reason they’re never given an explanation as to how they got to Earth in the first 3 movies also there’s a curious line Optimus says in ROTF “for the last two years an advanced team of new Autobots have taken refuge here under my command” however if that’s true that means Sideswipe Jolt Chromia Elita 1 and the Twins are the only refuges that arrived after 2007 while Arcee was always on Earth doing her own thing it’s also been noted that Transformers can become accustomed to the location they’re in Mirage has an accent in DOTM while in ROTB he doesn’t it’s also been confirmed Mirage loves Earth’s cultures so if he has been on Earth since the 90e he must’ve taken an extended vacation to Italy and developed an accent along the way same can be said for Wheeljack

I believe the 2007 films and the bumblebee movie are connected because there was a scene that gave context as to how bumblebee lost his voice.
That is not a strong argument on them being connected, in the Bayverse timeline, Bumblebee lost his voice to Megatron when he launched the Allspark off Cybertron, and during the scene in TLK we can see Bee doesn't have his voice during the WW2 scene when he fights with Hot Rod, meaning he lost his voice BEFORE 1945 but yet when in the Bumblebee movie, his fight with Blitzwing on earth where he losses his voice than, happens in the late 80s, this making it a contradiction to its already established timeline but then Bumbelbee has many contradictions to the original Bayverse timeline.

That may seem like a long time but it's really not. And if general audiences don't like transformers the movies don't make money, and if the movies don't make money we don't get more movies. What if Unicron is destroyed at the end of ROTB but his life essence or spark is somehow transferred into earths core? Or his core when he is destroyed crashing onto earth like a meteorite and digging into the earth to transform it from the inside. Or it ends with him being torn trough time and space and ending up within earth (with everybody thinking he is destroyed).
What if his form in ROTB was a mechanical planet or something which hes his essence/spark was inserted becoming its core.
This could also be another Unicron time traveling from a potential future and the Maximals having fled from the future from him.
Very much believe it’s not a reboot at this point with what everyone that’s worked on the film has said and now that time travel and multiverses can be a possibility, like they said there’s no rush to marry the two but they will get there when they get there

As much as people don’t like the last knight it is canon in the bay verse. There is a scene where bumblebee has been on earth at least since WW2 as ZB7 part of the devils brigade. But in the bumblebee movie prime mentions to bee that he found a safe planet and it was earth and it appears that it is bee’s first time there. Also they clearly forgot about how Optimus and the rest of the Autobots were like a protoform design when they got to earth until they scanned their first vehicle.
I'm glad someone else mentioned this about how the Last Knight states that Bumblebee was around during WW2, I believe with Hot Rod, too, and yet in his own film, as you say, it appears to be his first time on Earth.

Im confident in saying its part of a reboot franchise now, the fact Unicron is in his classic design and, well, NOT the Earth kinda proves it. We cant have him be his classic planet eater self AND be within the Earth as he was seen in the last knight lol. Its likely they wanted Bumblebee to have blurred lines between reboot and prequel just incase it flopped, but now its pretty concrete that Bumblebee was a reboot imo.
The Maximals are always linked to time travel so that theory is possible. Also, Scourge as a name might have been picked because TLK already used the Nemesis Prime name, its been done before in the cartoons etc lol.
I don't know what's the go with the maximals from this movie but I'm the original beast wars they came from the future, maybe at the end of this film they are displaced throughout time to complete objectives or on accident which would then keep the past events from the previous movies like Bee and hotrod in ww2 an intact piece of continuity, idk that just how I would've done it

This is not the order for the time being.
1. Optimus Prime is more how he is supposed to be or not fully yet.
2. No mention or showing of Megatron. (Granted, the Bumblebee sequel comic, “Sector Seven Adventures: The Battle at Half Dome” does show Megatron on how he looked in the first film but if was truly going to look like that, he and everyone main cast or not would not look different. He would also be mentioned with the Allspark since Sector 7 found him and the Cube together. Megatron is also very feared by both the Autobots and his own team. His name not being uttered would be impossible. Especially by those who are fiercely loyal to him.
3. They are all millions of years old. They would know who they are at this point.
4. No mention of the Allspark.
5. The Allspark was the whole point of the first Transformers film and the Transformers overall. They needed and wanted it to rebuild and bring life back to their home planet, Cybertron. This is both mentioned by Optimus Prime in the beginning speech and for the Autobots reason. The Decepticons wanted it for power, tyranny and to build a new army. A metal fist across the universe.)
6. In the Bay films, Bumblebee was the only Autobot on Earth when he arrived. The same goes for Barricade who was the only Decepticon on Earth.
7. Bumblebee couldn’t be on Earth during World War 2 because not only because of the previous reason but Bumblebee was too busy fighting with everyone in 1987 where there is no way for him to get back his Cybertrionian form. All the Autobots, including Optimus Prime, arrived on Earth in 2007 other than Bumblebee. Not before.
8. No mention of Samuel James Witwicky.
9. No mention of finding Sam Witwicky’s grandfathers' (Archibald Witwicky) glasses, in which, had the Allsparks location imprinted on his glasses. In which, Sam was the keeper of.
10. Arcee is in both Bumblebee and the Bay films. She not only does not look the same (such as color scheme and the fact she has wheels on her back and has legs, but her personality is also different.) Personalities you only see in the prequel comics and tie ins to Revenge of the Fallen. She was also captured by Thundercracker where she was experimented on and had a psychic bond with Elita one and Chromia.
11. Arcee seems to have a relationship with Wheeljack (which, they have started with Transformers Cyberverse)
12. Wheeljack is neither old nor the same look as he is now. They cannot physically age in terms of looks.
13. No mention of the Ark.
14. If Bumblebee was on Earth for 20 Years, his disguise would not change. When he scanned that Camero, it already had rust on it, which Bumblebee did not have in the Bumblebee film.
15. The Autobots and Decepticons are fighting each other and while the reason is unknown, it isn’t for the Allspark because the Decepticons main objectives, besides dominion and tyranny, is to kill the Autobots, specifically Optimus Prime when they try to jump him.
16. Unicron is not Earth as depicted in TF5: The Last Knight. We see Scourge talking to him. And Unicron is bigger than all the planets in Earth’s solar system no matter what continuity.
17. It makes no sense for Optimus Prime or any of the Cybertronians to scan the vehicle modes they have and then scan the vehicle modes they had in 2007-2017. That is not how their biology and science works.
18. In Bumblebee, he lost his voice to Blitzwing when he ripped out his vocal processor. In the Michael Bay films, the prequel comics show that Megatron crushed/tore out his voice and arm at Tyger-Pax.
19. Bumblebee lost his voice in 1987 but in the Bay films he lost his voice to Megatron both of which transpired years before 1987 and before. Megatron was discovered by Sam’s great grandfather in 1897.
20. The Transformers are on Earth in 1987 and in 1994. The point to travel to Earth in Bumblebee was to keep Earth and her people safe, especially since another point for the Autobots was to find refuge and save “their” people.
21. Those who are sent to Earth arrive in space pods in Bumblebee. Both Autobots and Decepticons did not require the usage of space pods since they used their protoform bodies to fly and upon entire on Earth soil in the Bay films. There is no way for them to get back unless they are capable of flight. Otherwise, Bumblebee would have been back. Which begets the next point.
22. No space bridge technology or created from Sentinel Prime, whom of which, only created this technology from the live-action films.
23. No mention of the Fallen (Megatronus Prime) who is a follower of Unicron.
24. Quintessa is irrelevant since Unicron is not Earth.
25. No mention of Charlie.
26. In Age of Extinction when Optimus scanned the original G1 vehicle mode of his, he not only didn’t do that from memory, but his body did not change to that look. When a Transformer scans a vehicle mode, unless they are a triple changer or above, which we know Optimus Prime is not, they have a different look from those new vehicle parts, and he doesn’t. If this was the case, he would not look how he does in the Bay films if they were connected. This is for all Transformers.
27. In Bumblebee, Optimus Prime is in his G1 look. He never had any form of flames on him.
28. Optimus Prime’s Ion Blaster is also different. In concept art of Bumblebee, all the Cybertrionans had vehicle modes that were not from Earth.
29. When Optimus arrives on Earth in the 2007 film, he has flames. He always had flames that are a part of his body before his arrival to Earth and scanning the Peterbuilt 396 Semi-Truck.
30. Optimus Prime only has one Ion Blaster whereas in the Bay films, he has a Blaster that does not look the same nor is the same color and he has other guns that are dual barrage cannons. He only has one.
31. Hasbro made it very hush hush when Bumblebee became successful.
32. Agent Simmons seems to be either a teenager or early twenties adult. In the Bay films he is a middle-aged adult.
33. Brawn is not in the Bay films.
34. The majority of the Autobots and Decepticons have different looks and personalities.
35. Soundwave is on Earth. Not a satellite which he doesn’t need to be when he is the Decepticons communication officer and can produce sound hence his name and would have gotten transmissions from Shatter and Dropkick.
36. Rumble was not in the Bay films.
37. If Rumble and Frenzy were in the same film together, they would look the same but different colors. Frenzy was with Barricade in the 2007 film not with Soundwave.
38. Bumblebee has two Plasma Cannons. Not one. And it always shoots a red-orange blast than choosing between blue or red.
39. Bumblebee would have mentioned Charlie.
40. Unicron is G1 colors and look and not black in the Last Knight.
41. No mention of the Maximals or Terrorcons.
42. Mirage is a Porche and not a Bugatti nor is he red.
43. No mention of Stratosphere.
44. No mention of an Exosuit for a human.
45. No mention of how Bumblebee was able to use the radio in the 2007 film.
46. In Bumblebee, Shockwave’s arm cannon is his left as it should be. In the Dark of the Moon movie, it is on his right. And he has a mouth.
47. Scorponok is not Earth. He was with Blackout the entire time when he was in the 2007 film.
48. Bumblebee has a blade in his left arm, and he never had one in the Bay films.
49. Mirage doesn’t have an accent.
50. Optimus Prime had his trailer in Bumblebee upon arrival whereas in the 2007 film he didn’t have it until Dark of the Moon. Granted, he had a trailer to put Jazz’s body in but he didn’t have it for the whole film.
It’s a “soft reboot…”remember according to the Bayverse Bubble fought in WW2 and according to this new continuity Bubble arrived in the 80s

I mean they could do it but they would need to make an obvious difference such as one universe isn't as militaristic and the other highly militaristic[Bay series] as usually in the multiverse each AU is meant to have differences.
So in the Bee series their less militarized[in away] and came to earth earlier than the Bay series. In the Bay series the only autobot on earth first is Bee but sends a signal to the others to come to earth
They name drop Marky Mark(Mark Walberg) and say he's going into acting in this movie. No way it's a prequel or idk wth is going on.
The movie is a prequel / retcon of the Transformers movie canon but not a full on reboot. As someone who just watched the movie and seen behind the scene features the movie takes place in the same timeline aka NOT a reboot. Behind the scenes they even mention where this movie takes place chronologically and have placeholders with the film referring it as T7. Although Michael Bay isn’t directing Rise of the Beasts he was on set and still a producer of the film. I can definitely see it take place in the same timeline by retconning a few events. Maybe some of the Autobots left Earth then came back in 2007. That being said, whether you like the Bay, movies or not, the Transformers movies are moving a better direction it feels like. I guess if people don’t really like some stuff they can just not consider certain parts of the movies to be not canon in their head. Maybe some timetravel event will change the Transformers history in the future films.
While yes the timeline is really messy, there are way worse continuity errors in other fictional movie universes. If you think about it the Transformers Animated timeline has more continuity errors than these movies yet officially it’s all still in the same canon.
It's a prequel. A completely broken in the timeline prequel, but it's a prequel. The director and producer interviews have made it clear that's their intent. But they're trying to draw audiences in by saying it's a "new storytelling universe" while also saying we'll see how things lead into Transformers 2007. So, like I said, a prequel that is completely broken in terms of timeline. Though after TLK and now Bumblebee this is nothing new.

If its a reboot and sequel to Bumblebee it makes no sense cause of the huge changes in character design between Bumblebee and this and inclusion of Unicron, cause that would be like if Thanos came after the first Iron Man movie. If its a prequel it doesn't work because if they've already faced *_UNICRON_* before everything else then every other threat would seem trivial in comparison, and its the same if its a reboot and Bumblebee sequel. Couldn't they just mean that they will protect the story from 2007's Transformers movie. So basically only the first one? Wouldn't be the first time a franchise ignores certain movies within it. For example, Terminator Dark Fate is a direct sequel to Terminator 2, effectively ignoring the others.

Thank God it's a reboot (I believe it's a reboot) and not part of the Bayverse! As far as Bumblebee goes, I still don't believe it is a reboot! I've argued this from day dot and nothing will change my mind unfortunately! However, I do believe RotB is a reboot. It's so different even when compared to Bumblebee. It's almost doing it's own thing. When it comes to Bumblebee though I believe the proof is in the pudding, it's a prequel. I honestly can't believe this argument is STILL relevant all these years later. RotB is definitely a full blown reboot though, no question.

Your theory of Unicron being sent to the past to become Earth is interesting, but what if the Unicron we're seeing in Rise of the Beasts is actually the one from the Bayverse future being born from the Earth. Optimus being Scourge wouldn't be all that far fetched after all in that scenario. Earth being destroyed and everything on it dying could cause Optimus to become his future herald we see in this prequel. Alternate timelines merging.
