due to how the game takes in input, it technically doesnt matter / matters very little if you play at 60fps. but it becomes increasingly worth it at higher and higher framerates, up until it technically becomes an advantage when playing with the click between frames mod.
that's true but the polling rate isn't the only advantage. also I'd like to add that mobile players won't be using a sayo and PC players who can only run most levels at 60 fps have a TPS advantage that makes the game run at essentially 240hz. this is still very true though as with physics bypass 360fps a higher polling rate matters more
fun fact: i actually got a bad one and it kept randomly autoclicking for no reason so i just returned it and got a new one. so if you have problems, just return it and reorder it
i feel like the sayo would only be worth it if you dont already have a decent kb, the only reason why I'd rather just built a custom kb is because the sayo is small asf
yeah, and sayo is only beneficial if you main rhythm games too. if you already have a good kb you wouldn't be as interested as someone who doesn't have a good kb/mouse
@swishytwo its not hard, but it varies from person to person. i know people who take a month to transition while others are able to get comfortable with it in under a week
Tape? I should try this. I have it on a mousepad and it's just a little bit quieter than my keyboard (I have one of the loudest keyboards, blackwidow v3 green switch)
The reason the sayo is so good for gd is because of rapid trigger, which makes your release much more accurate as the key does not have to go back past the actuation point to stop triggering. This makes ship, wave, and robot incredibly accurate
I have a 75hz monitor (i cant afford a better one) and im using CBF; mouse feels very responsive (G203 lightsync) but my fingers shake a lot and i always click by mistake or cant click fast enough. Up arrow on my keyboard is visibly laggy and although i can control wave better, thats pretty much all. Would a sayodevice be worth it even tho im playing on 75hz?
i just got one as im swtiching from a terrible mouse but i lost all my skill after practicing im still very inconsistent and forget to straight fly. Im not sure if thats normal when being new to keyboard
@@theatlasdude MMM nope i only played for like an hour came back and i was way more inconsistent. Right now i seem to do better i got used to it but im still not fully adjusted cuz i missclick and spam is way easier but harder to control and not touch any hitboxes
@@Yejun-w4z sorry that ur finding the transition rough D: if when u try to spam consistently you go up try lowering the input distance and raise the release distance, and vise versa with going down
@@theatlasdude well sayo did help me with auditory breaker but it still feels unnatural for me. Either way i suck so trying beating auditory feels never ending to me as i die to random spots and lose consistency
i have an 8k polling rate keyboard but i feel like i'm not comfortable playing the game anymore, like, it surely has less delay than my mouse but i feel so much more consistent clicking on the mouse than i do on the keyboard i dont know exactly how to explain it but i think the main problem is that i dont have a good key to click at since my keyboard is 60% and it doesn't have the arrow keys i am doing better than ever in the game but i still feel uncomfortable playing since i got the keyboard do you think the sayo could be worth a try for me?
@@jaimepacocinha282 i get you, some of it has to do with the transition from mouse to kb but maybe its also a performance issue, for some reason my sayo and keyboard werent clicking right any time i'd drop frames but I think sayo is definitely worth a shot, especially because you can change the actuation to be most confortable for you.
@ its more like a grip issue, cause i can't position my hand in a way that i can click comfortably, possibly because i have to click on weird keys like enter, ctrl or p and i'm not really transitioning to the keyboard since i've been using it for over a year now, i just never got used to it
@jaimepacocinha282 try clicking with the corner key it felt most comfortable for me, but i will say it's a lit easier to make playing on the sayo comfortable
@@theatlasdude the corner key has a different switch than the others, it makes a weird sound and feels weird to click on, the one i've been using now is the enter key, which has a nice soft feel and a kind of suppressed sound, but it is still an enter key so it isnt the ideal thing
@@theatlasdude i played on my keyboard for a few hours and honestly the only problem i have with it is that it takes forever for it to register that im no longer clicking so i cant straight fly and wave is pretty bad
I need your opinion!! Im kinda new to gd and ive been using the gpx superlight not worrying about the delay, recently i bought a razor viper v3 pro, which has a 8k hertz polling rate. But i wanna switch to keyboard. I wanna buy the sayo device. Keep in mind i only beat 2 easy demons being change of scene, and ispywithmylittleye. I have a ryzen 7 5700x which im sure could handle 8k. But idk if i need to download plugins i seen you mention something called cbf, can you reply?
yo! so you dont need any plugins to run the sayo at 8k polling rate, and cbf (click between frames) is a geode mod that unlocks the steps the game usually checks for inputs on. the mod basically limits your precision to your device's polling rate. any other questions?
My sayodevice is like 4 months old and i’ve started feeling some sort of delay when i release. Idk if i’ve just used it too much does anyone know what’s happening?
If you still haven’t solved it, you can try to recalibrate your switches. Due to how hall effect switches work, calibration may be needed from time to time.
@ bro that’s the thing, even if i calibrate it i still feel something. I don’t even know if i do have input delay, like i either DO have input delay or i’m just having a skill issue. sometimes i play well with it and sometimes i could’ve sworn i released on time. i might try to rebeat auditory breaker and see if this is just placebo
@@OfferOne did you try to use a different usb port? it may have something to do with usb 2.0/3.0. also it’s good to look at your overall performance, how are your cpu/gpu temps, do they throttle, is there other demanding app in the background, there’s a lot of possible problems.
It seens silly but it is definitely not, you can set the key to register as soon as you press and as soon as you release, totally a advantage compared to normal keyboards
