The harder it rains, the better this stuff works. Perfect for motorway driving and heavy downpours.
Great review!
Autovaha.ee thanks
I think u did great! But i expected a lot of more beading, a spray wax give you more water repealancy only you have to apply more often.
It's great stuff, applied to my 350z summer last year and it's still protecting well. PHSS was a wet track and i was SO pleased i could see far ahead.
david daffin good to hear man. Mines still going strong too. Good to hear it was good on a track too. Bet that was scary in the wet with a 350z 😂
Awful fella, traction control left firmly on haha ive uploaded a video of the drama with a glanza spin off in front of me eek
david daffin Jesus mate that was close! Sounds like you had fun though. Good stuff 👍
Lewis Humphrey too close :( i fully $hit it lol an experience i guess
Can see meadowhall clear through that window 👍🏻
Oh everything from soft99 works my friend
Indeed 👍🏻
Tips, clean windows with shampoo, CLAY THEM and perform an IPA (pure alcohol and water mix) wipedown mixed at 10-15% that will ensure best bond, as some others have said, their is better that does last longer, get what you pay for....rain-X does the same thing but only lasts a week
also.....dont use wipers when the water is beading away off the glass....you will abrade the coating off, shortening its life span and leaving some 'ghosting' where your wipers have been :)
Mike Atkinson thank you for your advice. Luckily I've learned a lot about detailing since I made this video so I'm me making sure the window gets decontaminnated properly before my next application 🙂
FNLEW welcome to a whole new world of reasons for your wallet being lighter :P
Mike Atkinson haha I'm beginning to see why 😂
looks good will defo get some for my fn2. I normally wax my windows which is good but obviously does not last that long will look out for this stuff . thanks for the video and letting is know how it works.
Simon Hardwick you're welcome glad I could help
Don't bother with this just Fusso the windows. Ive got it, its decent but no better than a good hard wax
Chris Martin just had a look at the fusso wax and it looks like good stuff! A lot of sites are saying avoid glass with it though, apparently it makes the water 'grab' more. For the bodywork though it looks amazing.
Nice review bro, in all honesty a good pair of wipers does the trick for front windows, the best you can afford. This stuff would be great more for side windows.
Not really, not at all. In heavy rain wipers are useless compared to a rain repellent. Try passing a lorry...
And in light rain you don't even need them.
@@alexgunner1882 So you are saying that when passing a lorry in wet conditions this stuff is so good you don't have to use wipers?
@@chepachii i'm saying you don't get engulfed by a bazillion tons of water... With Aquapel.
Not sure on this… I wax mine and it does the something.
Does anyone know after I used this Glaco Super wiper on my windscreen, why my car wiper jumping badly when wiping off rain water?
Sorry if this is a bit late, but try putting WD40 on your wiper arm spring.
Add it to your wiper, this will stop the jumping
Can I ask you what's the best oil to use.in my type r gt & should the windscreen wipers match in length on both sides.
mark house I think the wipers come as a pack when you buy them but I do think they're the same length. As for the oil, It's down to personal preference. I use miller's 5w30. I've done a service video if that helps at all.
Cheers mate I've used Mobil 5w 30.
My Honda dealer fitted a drivers side wiper last week.which clears full drivers side window.
And the same guy fitted passenger's side which on clears 3/4 of that side of screen.
He said that's normal.
Not sure would prefer both drivers side length.
What do you think mate?
Hmmm I'd probably stick to the cars manufactured length. Just because the wipers have to work in time with each other for safety. So having a different length as well as the motor having to put more effort in, I wouldn't risk it myself.
Cheers mate for your advice and help.
mark house any time 👍🏻
Good vid fella, but perhaps a split screen 50-50 would have given us a better look at the results :-)
Gazgandalf very good point I'll keep that in mind for next time 👍
One question.
Is it not advisable to use your wipers after you applied Glaco?
No you can use you're wipers no issue. It's just very repellant so you don't have to use them as often.
angelwax h2Go is waaay easier to apply, no waiting time and works way better.
It acts just as a paint sealant and in all actuality probably is since that is the main type of products soft99 sells.
If you are feeling bored you can tray a layer of ceramic coating. As long as the window is properly clean and you don't used $8 Chinese ceramic coating it should give you no problem. Would still suggest a deep clean of the window and than a wipe down with alcohol to remove any remaining residue from what ever cleaner you used.
You can find videos of it all over this site and it works very well. If you live in a very cold climate frost will not stick to it so while everyone is scraping ice off their windshield in the morning you can litterally just push it off with 0 issue. It will lay on the windshield but it does not stick.
Thank you for your input on it. I've learned a lot more about detailing and paint/glass prep since this video and hopefully one day I'll give ceramic coating a try 👍🏻.
I wonder how it works with plastics on motorcycle helmet visor?
kilofazer that's a very good idea 💡
Take a look at this www.rainx.com/product/plastic-water-repellent/rain-x-plastic-water-repellent/#.W4bdXOhKi00
油膜沒拔除...怎麼會乾淨呢
这镜面也还没抛光
can use for side mirror ?
Yes.
FNLEW but I read the instructions behind the box,it say Do not use on specific process glass and side mirror.
@@giogiojojo633 oh right. I must have used it incorrectly then.
you wash the window but I can tell from when you wipe it off that the window has not clean yet..
looking at that, rain x is better, also autoglyms rapid detailer looks better and it not even a glass coating
nissan300bhp thanks I'll keep a look out for those.
Well I use RainX for two years now, it's super cheap and you can apply it numerous times with one bottle. Yes RainX will probably wear off sooner than many of other products but it's cheap and plentiful and when it's fresh on it works better than what was shown here...
Glaco is not really a glass coating in the normal sense (silica-based coating for paint). It is a coating FOR glass.
i left it just for 1min lol
shahrouzkhan200 haha oh dear 😂
I'm pretty sure that's the same company that makes Fusso, and people rave over that.
Yes, you are correct. Soft99
I've seen 2€ products last more than this and get far more beading after 60kmh or so.
AverageBosnian brilliant. It would be great if you could share them for people in the comments 👍🏻
i´d clay the glass 1st
Peter H I do now since I've learned how to detail.
CHINESE BLUE CLAYS are best for glass, but will marr the paint.
AngelWax H2NO puts this to shame.
Proof? Or do we just take your word for it? Just love you haters. Btw it's H2GO!
Gtechniq G1 is far better than that and lasts for up to 2 years or 30,000 miles which ever comes first.
It also costs more than 3x as much.
But it doesn’t last so long.. It’s one of the worst product ever made, especially if you compare it with high price.
+KofamFANTE I couldn't really complain about it. Looking at it compared to things like 'clear glass'.
How does the coating know when you’ve done 30,000 miles?
There’s G1 and there’s G5, G1 is more durable but at a cost of having a higher speed before rain runs off the windscreen. G5 has a lower runoff speed but doesn’t last quite as long. This product in the video looks like a good compromise. Key to any glass coating is the prep work before hand.
