The mind is a delicate thing in that for him and many others the " click" interferes with the shot sequence and timing. It removes your focus on the target just like it does to trigger and thumb button punchers. In that macro second your pin can/will? move the majority of the time. Personally,I prefer the click as it lets me know I'm in proper form and can now focus intently on finishing the the shot cycle.
You don't need to touch the tension screw on the side of the body to adjust the moon. Just turning the internal screw accessible from the rear with the provided gold allen wrench will adjust the moon and it's under tension already so it doesn't have another locking screw. Changing the head to no click obviously requires a new hook, but it's just undo'ing the tiny set screw on the head, pushing the retaining rod out from the opposite side of the screw, and swapping the hook. A 5/16ths dental band around the head and body will stop the head from flopping around if that bothers you. All this being said, I have changed over to the 2.0 version because the dual moons for click to fire adjustment is much nicer than the pre-machined click distances in the hooks on the generation 1 version. It's also a much colder release in that the head can't come off the body and fire at the same relative angle of the body as the first hinge.
To learn to set it up all you gotta do is look up Chris Bee It's as if the hinge 2 is the one I have and i can put Pressure on all 3 of my fingers while I'm pulling it back if I'm pulling it back it just feels so natural and I mean I really love that hinge The more you learn how to adjust it the better you'll be
I also tried to Scott A sent I didn't really care for that 1 too much I'm still testing the new Chris Perkins ed it really is different when it comes to adjustment rarely different cars bars your click no click I actually have built up the 3rd finger because it feels like you're fingers gonna fall off and then they're release I do think it has some really innovation in it far is Velma winkfin and short with the head that is really awesome to get more or less drawing that's drawing but I do think they have some work to do to it still yet it would be If it would have had the flex attachment
Hey mate, are you getting the new hinge 2.0 in stock in stainless soon? .. I’m torn between one of those and the Scott accent .. might have to buy both of you!. Many thanks, Dan
Hey Steven. I hate the click as I'm a recurver and shooting next to someone who uses one I find difficult as it sounds like my clicker. Talk about flinching,....😖
I like my Ultraview ( although it's not brass) but I've since moved to the Tru Ball Sweet Spot 2 Pro Flex. It is brass, adjustable for three or four fingers and has a safety for $200 USD. I really love the safety as I shoot in my backyard and can't afford a misfire. The neighbors would be pissed if I shot them or their house. It allows me to relax and enjoy shooting instead of worrying about a misfire.
Out of every release I've ever shot and now I have the new Chris Perkins released from true ball I have the 2 smooth from John Dudley I have the true virus here I dear I have the true ball HBC flex I have Also the ultra view to the the new one I believe without a shadow of a doubt that it is possibly the best filling release I've ever shot ever ever all around the way they have the head swept back over the middle finger the way it fits in your fingers it just feels natural the shots break so easy
WTF ? HOW THE HELL THOSE HINGE RELEASE COST SO MUCH MONEY NOW I BOUGHT MINE LIKE 20 YEARS AGO A BT GOLD ULTRA 3 Hinge release FOR $30 AND NOW THE COST WENT UP THE ROOF FOR THESE TYPE OF RELEASE WHICH ARE SO SIMPLE TO MAKE GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK
have to differ. I raised a concern with them last week and they immediately shipped me a replacement part at their cost. can't ask any more than they did really.
He flinched, I flinched it was a good time! 😂 Love your reviews!!
I shot the hinge 2.0 with the hunting bracket and own an original hinge and it just feels better. I think you’re going to like it.

Ultraview has the worst customer service in the archery world. 👎
