I love the spirit in you. It is reflected in your eyes and your speaking voice is so soothing to listen to while you appreciate and react to Ren and his bands many talents. Thanks for bringing this one up to react to.
Yes, agree, your eyes are so emotive :) ! And you do have a great speaking voice as she stated. Your appreciation comes through so clearly and honestly.
I always check out reactions to this one! They’re on top of their game that day and all get to shine. I’m partial to anything blusey they do because they do it so well.
I knew, as someone who appreciates music (not just a reactor), you’d enjoy this one. Romaine neck bend gets me every time. I asked him about pedals once and how he gets his tone and he said he doesn’t really use pedals much (though he clicks into something here) and gets a lot of his tone from his fingers, and the fact that he uses his thumbnail to pluck gives a certain organic tone too. Good stuff mate.
In an interview with the singing coach and UA-camr - The Charismatic Voice - Elizabeth Zharoff - Ren explains how he gets such good sound quality on his busking videos, it is a long video but well worth taking the time to watch it on your own not as a reaction video... Thanks for shining a light on these very talented lads....
You can tell by the millions of views how popular this is! Love that YOU love it too. These guys are like one organic soul playing together. Would like you to hear the Big Push, What Kind of Woman is This. They alk perform. Ren dies some Jimi in it!
Again, loved your musician's viewpoint! I'm sitting here watching this while eating breakfast--and getting chills from the urgency of this performance! Yes, Ren really takes on the role of director and does it well, as he does in his videos. I think it was in one of his videos, when talking about producing a proof-of-concept musical story video for Netflix, that he said one of his dreams was to be a director. He said it with a big smile on his face, as illustrated by this emoji: 😄
Ren has said that he spends hours meticulously mixing his own busking videos as well as those of The Big Push. Here is how he described the recording process in the comments of one of TBP’s videos: “Line inputs running from each of the busking amps into a H4N recorder. Then the H4N condenser mic placed in front of the amps to capture the ambience of the street. Then another iPhone mic recording the drums (just set on voice recorder). Then mix all that together in post on Logic with some light compression and EQ to make everything pop, and voila!”
Thanks for that Colleen! I had been wondering about the drums. Amazing how good the mics are on phones aint it. I've been amazed myself recording a drummer and one guitar in the past.
Loved watching you appreciate these guys! They are so good together and you can just tell how much fun they are having! Check out Bongo Bong it’s a live session of them jamming on the rooftop of their flat and you will get to hear Romain sing in his native language 🤗 Romain has some really wonderful solo music as well! Thanks for sharing this with us!❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
He does. His interview with The Charismatic Voice was great. They got pretty technical. He’s been mixing and producing since he was a kid. He would painstakingly go through the lives to edit background noise and bring out certain things. He did not though actually edit their voices or instruments to change them. Thats just pure talent.
I really appreciate you appreciating each individual’s contribution to the band. They’re all brilliant solo, which could have meant fighting egos, but they just blend and vibe for the sake of music. That’s what I love about TBP.
I think the baseline is the same as Nina's version of 'feeling good' - their last track (actually I think the whole trio of songs aligns with her motif) Cheers!
Wade in the Water is an old, old, old song, perhaps from o150 or 2 hundred years ago? Ed to add, whenever I see the solo where Romain in his colourful pants, goes over to Ren on the ground and they play to each other, dipping the guitar necks and heads (?), I am reminded of birds in a mating dance!! It cracks me up every time. A bit like those exotic birds species where the males form groups to battle it out in dancing routines.
I love your input on this video, both from the perspective of musicianship as well as fashion, lol. Seriously, I enjoyed this so much that I'm sharing it right now!
Goran the guy who's swapping the strap for Ren normally plays bass guitar. Goran likes his strap longer than Ren so plays the guitar lower down & Ren prefers his guitar higher so that's with the strap change.
REN and the Big Push always 🔥🔥. Please try Romain's retake of the classic GEORGIA ON MY MIND Busking solo or some of his instrumental's like RAINWATER or BLUE or GREY 🎶🎵🍯🤌🔥🙏✌️
Love Without Feelings is one of the first things I reacted to on my channel. I wasn't that taken with it, but I'm thinking of revisiting it and reacting to the live version.

I knew you would love this 😊 it's one of my favorite busking videos from them. I just love the way they flow together and communicate. Plus they sound incredible 😂💜💜
A) Is it really legal to make a base make that kinda sounds? I mean, someone could maybe really FEEL something listening to this, and we can't have that, now can we?! B) that baseline gets me thinking about everything from the Spencer Davis Group and the Animals to BB King and Leadbelly. I really enjoy your reactions! Thank you! 🖤 Much love From STHLM, Sweden
Really love your reaction to this (and all the other Ren stuff I have seen you do!) I am thinking that the guitar strap belonged to the other guy because he usually plays bass and they were switching it out because on this song Ren was playing bass. Keep it up! Appreciate it! 🙂
11:13, here's how Romain's guitar sounds coming from the amp and recorded on a phone. It's their (red suspenders) "I Shot the Sheriff / Road to Zion" mashup on 5 June 2021. ua-cam.com/video/vEBqXit3V8U/v-deo.html
Don't know if anyone has requested the big push doing sympathy for the devil, but it's quite amazing 🔥 Perhaps blasphemous for some, but i actually enjoyed it more than the original.
YAY!!! **Luvit** & Ha yea **Luv** **Romain's** Style in clothing as well tho i am pretty sure these guys like share their clothes etc sometimes cuz pretty sure that wearing thin white t shirt was on **Ren** at one point heh gawd they SO freakin gel together just man it is so sad that they had to disassemble they could have been the next **Big Thing** oh well tho i **Know** **GeniusRen** is NOT done **Surprising** us so YAY for THAT! & i am also subbed to **Romain's** page so i am keeping up with him as well also subbed to **Gorran's** page so YAY i do **Hope** tho someday they will reunite for maybe like at least one show or something together who knows what the **Future** may bring no one heh **PixieHugz&LuvzALL**
You're probably right. When I was in a band and we all lived together, sharing clothes was common. Didn't know Gorran had a page, but of course he does, gonna subscribe to it now and maybe react to something of his. Hope you're well!

@@CosmicVagabondPixie I'll check those out, thanks! There have been many bands. The last (technically still going put on hiatus) was called FFK. I have an unreleased video from a few years back I may put out at some point. I'm doing well, thanks!
I really like the way they highlight everyone’s talent, like the great bands of the 70’s . Everyone played a part.
Yeah, that's a great observation. Hadn't made the connection.

I always check out reactions to this one! They’re on top of their game that day and all get to shine. I’m partial to anything blusey they do because they do it so well.
Watch them do Roadhouse Blues, but it has to be the video where Goran is wearing a black shirt😁
Thanks for the recommendation Kathleen. It's moving it's way up the list!
I swear Ren asked Romain a question, and Romain's guitar answered.

Thanks mate! Yeah, love that neck bend. The thumbnail thing is interesting too. Thanks for filling me in.
Romaine is a killer in his own right. Amazing!

I had a huge smile on my face watching you ! There is just that “ thing” , that something very special about these guys.
Glad to hear that! They are special!
Loved seeing someone who really gets it reacting to this. Your face/smile says it all! ❤
Thanks Gina! Appreciate it!
Same drummer Glen. The guy fixing his guitar strap is Goran the other singer, guitar player bass player. They’re all great!!

I think this is my fav performance by The Big Push at the moment. It changes, but right now, I listen to it every day. ❤❤❤
Great reaction. Thanks 🎉
Thank you!
My guess is that Ren (et al) works on the sound extensively in post- which is to say it sound much better here than it did on the street.
He does. His interview with The Charismatic Voice was great. They got pretty technical. He’s been mixing and producing since he was a kid. He would painstakingly go through the lives to edit background noise and bring out certain things. He did not though actually edit their voices or instruments to change them. Thats just pure talent.
It makes sense! I should have realised that, but never the less, the sound is impressive.
