usb uart flasher is the most usefull product radiomaster has released in this year
I agree 👍 but having to do all this is poor tec from radiomaster, thay should bind like old system, not everyone is computer knowledge or have one like me .this is a poor market and radiomaster will loose money 💰
It's for flashing new firmware, not binding.
I might have to get one of these as I’m finally on the ELRS train

Thank you Andrew, I moved over to radiomaster tx16s mk2 and took Ur advice and happy, brought the exact dongal and brought 4 different receiver but haven't seen this one on the market, where do you buy Ur radiomaster receiver please and thanks best information you provide in Ur videos 📹 😀

Hey Andrew. I've been a Spektrum user for a few years, but now that im getting into the world of flight controllers I'll be moving to an ELRS Radiomaster TX16s Mk 2 (so much cheaper too!)
Random question, do you know of anyone in Adelaide who offers soldering services for the header pins? I attempted to do this with a Speedybee F405 Wing, but I think I fried the BEC outputing volatage to the receiver and PWN pins. Oops 😀
Edit: Actually, nevermind... I didn't realise that soldering temp made such a big difference. I was using 250c which was way too cold. 360c now give me perfect little blobs around the pins on my practice board. Live and learn 😀

Well done, soldering does take practice. I bump it up to 400 for thicker battery cables and use flux

I bought myself a multimeter, and the ELRS receiver pins (where a Spektrum receiver also gets plugged into) is only outputting 2v or so. Would you know why that might be? The sbus pins are also about 2v. The PWM pins have no voltage.
Happy to hear any suggestions.
@@r1m.dog78 Overheated BEC component or solder bridge or bent pin on one of the inter board plugs.
@@AndrewNewton Thanks heaps... it was due to my initial dodgey soldering.
I just used some solder wicker and then re did those pins with perfect blobs and it's now reading 4.7v with the multimeter.

Hello Andrew, it's been quite a while since I messaged you, I am stuck between choosing between radiomaster boxer or Zorro or tx12 mk11. I currently have flysky i6x transmitter and Turnigy 9xr transmitter with equivalent receivers and also frysky d8 receivers. Mainly fly fixed wing planes and gliders, what is your recommendation please?

Thanks Keith. You need the 4in1 version to bind with all your existing receivers, so avoid the CC2500 versions. TX12 is only CC2500 or ELRS but it's discontinued anyway. I would be happy with Boxer or Zorro. Boxer has less dials and switches but longer battery life and more solid feel.
