This wasn't a job for a yoga instructor. Goddamn why are people so dumb. This was a job for a physio therapist. Do you wanna know why he got turned away? Probably because the yoga instructors were just that , yoga instructors, not bloody joint and bone specialists. How many yoga instructors have you heard of that treat people who have very serious injuries? None because the chances of something going wrong and you fucking up the client even more is way to high. He slips a disk doing a move the instructor told him to do and guess what , if it's in anyway a small business then that business is going out of business. Lasting back and joint injuries are worth insane amounts of money if you sue the company. Plus this guy probably took alot of time and energy, not everyone can just drop all their clients because someone's got a sob story. Not taking away from the story or anything but thats what it is , a sad story to go with the injury pretty much ensuring sympathy as you seen here in this video

Doctors have all given up, only offer antidepressants at this point. Meanwhile everyday, morning til night for the last several months I’ve worked so hard to get more and more movement back! The S in my spine is slowly straightening but like this man, there’s mind breaking pain at play. Its a real mental battle to put yourself through it day after day, but it’s the only way to heal. Wow this is such an amazing story. I served in the British Army for 13 years, I was disabled during an operational tour and had my spine shattered. I had wanted to be a soldier from the age of 5 and I joined as soon as I left school at 16, I left school in the July and by October I was a soldier. This was all I ever wanted to do so when they told me I was going to be medically discharged I was devastated
I met my wife while serving, something I told myself I would never do whilst being a soldier as I knew marriage in the Army was tough and I was training for Special Forces and knew what all that was going to take. However, I met the most amazing women in the world who was happy with life as a soldiers wife and she made some wonderful life long friends as well.
When this happened to me my wife and I had only been married five years and my wife had just fallen pregnant with our first child. I tried to do everything I could to get her to leave me so that she could still have a good life, find another man to love, I knew with my disability, my wife was going to become my career and she was just too young to be burdened with that. However no matter what I said she wouldn’t leave me and became my career.
Our friends and family always look at me and ask how I am and give the side head of pity to me, but nobody ever asks my wife how she is doing and she is the one who got the hardest part of this deal.
But right at the beginning of when they told me that I was no longer able to be a soldier, I tried to take my own life, it wasn’t a cry for help because I had amazing help from everyone, but I knew nothing was going to change, I would be able to work and provide for my wife and kids, I wouldn’t be able to play with my kids, I knew we would never have a lot of money or our own house, the one thing my wife and I always dreamed of having and I was never going to be able to help her live her dream. I knew my wife was going to have to wash me, help get me dressed, etc as well as care for our children, look after the home, hold down a job and care for me, it just wasn’t fair to expect her to live this life. When we met, I was an infantry soldier, able to run over 20 miles, in training for Special Forces and now I couldn’t even put my socks on. I felt like she had been cheated.
I’ve had 7 spinal fusions and many other spinal procedures since leaving the Army, I am in severe constant pain every day, take serious amounts of medication, suffer with PTSD and Depression. However about two or three years ago, my eldest daughter gave me some art supplies and told me to draw something when they all left the house in the morning to go to school or work, my kids hated me having to be in the house on my own. But I started drawing and never looked back, I turned to art as a way of helping me deal with nightmares, PTSD and depression rather than taking even more medication.
Despite my disability and constant pain and all the things my family have gone without because of me, Art has helped me so much it is unbelievable and the art community as well. Listening to this story was so
and I could certainly understand the difficulties he overcame.

You are absolutely right about my wife and kids, without them, especially my wife, I would have taken the easy route out a long time ago and now I’m glad I didn’t. It’s stupid to think I had what it took to put myself in dangerous situations, but when it came to my disability and pain, I never thought I could handle it. There are still days, especially now that my children are older and I can see how amazing they are and that they have what it takes to make their own way in the world, were my pain levels are just too much, I feel like taking the easy way out, but I know the pain I would be causing my family and I could never do that to them. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment and words of support.

This is one of the amazing stories of men like him doing yoga. I had a teenage student in my studio who was confined to a wheelchair after a car crash. His mother took him to Bikram every week. The same results as your veteran. The physical & mental benefits speak for themselves.

Who gives such an inspirational story a thumbs down. Especially a veteran who had lost hope. Sometimes it just takes someone to believe in you. Semper Fidelis!

I used to watch Diamond Dallas Page in WCW in the mid-to-late 90s when I was a kid. It's really cool to see DDP is doing. It's awesome to see how he helps people.

Rogan is real. I get tears over inspiration too. Pain and sadness have dulled but I’m still emotional over the better things in life. Kids learning to walk ( as lame as it sounds) gets me. I saw 3 kids ( mine and my exs) kids learn to walk and it got me. That was 18 years ago and they have done so much but those first steps I’ll never forget.

I was in a car accident. Broke my back, 6 ribs, collar bone, hip, crushed my pelvic bones, broke my jaw in 3 places, broke a femur, had massive bleeding on my brain, had my kidney and spleen removed, and was in a coma. They doctors originally said that they didnt think I would ever walk again. Once I started showing movement in my legs they said I would wall with therapy, but it would take me 3 years or more. I went home with a wheel chair and walker. I never used them. Held on to things to help me stand. I finished my physical therapy in 3 months. I think you heal faster if you don't take pain meds, and stay active. The human body is amazing!

Like I said This guy is the reason I wanted DDP Yoga. I was hit by a car. Not crippled horribly, but crippled enough where I can't work. I can't exercise. I can't do anything high-impact. I saw this. And I found what I needed to do.
