I have read and listened to Red Platoon and watched the outpost. Those men were put in a fishbowl against incredible odds. RIP to those lost. Glad someone told their story!
Clint is 100% correct- unless you're lucky enough to match your military skill set with something in the private sector, you have to humble yourself and learn. I can say as a 19D , I never learned how to read a CNC program.
I just joined the army as a cav scout. Shipping out to fort benning in 2 months. When I talked to a former scout he told me to read up on Clint Romesha. I was speechless
That dd214 comment towards the end is so damn true. I had about three jobs promised to me and an apartment already setup. Ate the savings keeping the roof over my head and had to get a less favorable job 3 months after I got put
Was listening on spotify but came over to youtube so I could put some faces to the hosts voices... I'm goin back to spotify. (Just kidding you guys rule)
Shot in the back in basic training Fort Benning GA summer of 05 around June or July maybe? I'm pretty sure I know the squad that bullet came from. For the record it wasn't me. Lol
It’s so so annoying, especially the guy in the middle. He’s funny, but sometimes it’s too much. Breaker the train of thought of the interviewee, is not good practice lol
Thank you for having Clint on - I have read his book and admire him as a human being!
Grew up with Clint, still a great dude. Thanks for the awesome banter guys.
Clint Romesha? Yep. Clicking as fast and often as I can.

The outpost movie was trash they got so much stuff wrong. Read the book instead.
Listen to all the podcasts on Hazard Ground about battle of COP Keating. As well as the podcast on Scuttlebutt channel.

Every couple months i go back and reread the story, watch the interveiws and rewatch the movie just to remind myself. This is gonna be good
Great listen guys, don’t know why there are not more comments. Nice for a brand new style, place and feel. Keep bringing the great people and content.

Better learn fiddlers green. Know the fundamentals of reconnaissance.
Well it’s been a couple years! How’s your journey going in the Army?
Red Platoon was an amazing book... remarkable chronicle of heroics by Americans.

Good stuff guys!
@50min... I joined as a tanker & got sent to ft Polk to an infantry unit, op4 platoon & we wore tigerstripe uniforms as our duty uniform.
I was a squad leader in 16th EN BN back in the day and Kosovo was "the thing" back then. We had to do those same escorts. What an awesome time.
I like this jack mandiville
I love the age references! At 7-8yr I was all about GI-Joe, like the replica 12" figures

Clint Romesha and Marty Skovlund can only be over shadowed by a medieval knight aka Jack"who needs hair" Mandeville, cheers
Nice to see an interview with Clint Romesha, i dont know why but that guy in the middle was getting on my nerves with the weak jokes all the time.

I'd never heard that story about his father being on Donahue.
Accidental is due to actual firearm mechanical error, negligent is human error causing discharge.
Totally happened to me at camp devil dog
Did jack say he's best friends with the guy from cleared hot podcast??
If you get shot in basic you better yell Charlie is in the tree!!!!
“Pink boy”? That’s hilarious
Fort Jackson 1992 spring rotation IET. Charlie company who remembers that some b**** and went nuts on the range and started putting rounds everywhere
You guys should get tom macdonald on here. Like if you agree. #hangovergang.
Omg you guys have to do a series of stolen valor videos by Jack. So freaking funny. then mix in real stories... All to somber dramatic music.......
