  • After a surprisingly popular previous video of me getting on and off a really low sun lounger which kept folding on me and made life difficult, I’ve decided to do another video using a more common style of lounger, which was a whole lot easier!

I have seen dozens of transfers on UA-cam but no one has explained them as well as you.

Great video! Do you mind if I ask the front & rear seat heights for your wheelchair? My therapist put me in a chair with a 21 inch front seat height and I'm just now figuring out that having a chair so up high is why transfers from the floor to the chair have been so difficult for me. Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the comment. My chair height at the front with my thinnest cushion is 21.5", and I've got about 4" of bucket in the seat between the front and back. Once the technique is nailed it's pretty easy - it's finding the sweet spot to get your bum high in the air. If I get it right I can land almost at the back of the seat and have minimal adjustment afterwards, but I have to practice ad I get rusty!
