  • Many people take a lot of things for granted but as a quadriplegic tasks that used to be so simple seem so daunting. What ever you practice that at first my seem impossible, will get easier and easier and I can no easily transfer from my wheelchair to my bed!

Aside from your super positive attitude, can I just say how much I love your quilt? It's so beautiful!

Random Person: How do you stay so thin?
Meg: Have you ever seen how much energy I burn doing the simplest tasks?
As always, love that you share all of these "How I. . ." videos; to those of us who are not disabled, it's interesting to see inside your world.

Nice transfer... I'm a quad too. Looks like we're the same level of injury 👍

I actually found a little ramp...turns into a platform...then the other side is a ramp...I use it to get into a higher bed.

In another transfer video I heard that transfering between great highest difference frequently can take a toll long term on your wrists and such. So thought I let you know. :)

Great job! I am also SCI and have been for a long time. Don't wear out your shoulders too soon. You will need them for the long haul.

Thank you! We definitely need to take care of those shoulders. I find that drinking a lot of water helps mine!

Lol nice video. I have. A hospital bed so I cheat by just lowering the bed lol. Have you considered putting a small ramp beside the bed to raise your wheelchair up on so the transfer is easier?

That's a great idea! I haven't thought of that. That is a great way to make it easier, good thinking! A hospital bed is a good idea, too! :)
