@@draxdrexler9009 It also says something about the writers and artists who come on his shows knowing that at some point he has made fun of their books. When I first started watching this show I thought Sal was burning bridges left and right. Cause I've seen him talk about how much he loved a book in one of the review shows. Then when the times comes to do it on back issues he can be quite brutal. But they keep on coming back so they must have a sense of humor about it.
I can't wait for him to tackle this latest Batman run. I just hope he includes the Joker Year One stuff where you can make a strong case for them using A.I in the flashforwards. Where it looks like they took photos of Ben Affleck's Batman and used a filter on it. The image of him riding a horse with Bats flying behind him does look cool, at the same its not a good look for them if they start to allow A.I art.
Sal leading the show off with a sigh is a portent. I would say to a good episode...but they are all excellent.

Oh man, It's been like 10 years and some months since I first discovered this channel. Right before my military service ended. Thank you all for keeping me entertained for so dang long. I've rewatched numerous episodes by now!
Just a quick correction. Josh did make Avery Ho, then she was moved over to New Super-Man and the Justice League of China. She was one of many gifted speed force powers after the Speed Force Storm during the first arc of Flash Rebirth.
Can I just say, I love Avery Ho/The Flash of the JLC. She is a fun character, and her relationship with Wallace West/Kid Flash is great.

While dark crisis was rather underwhelming for me, I LOVED this series. It was such a fun book to read month to month. I wish this team could have been a more regular thing. They were so fun to read together

Sadly Batwoman Who Laughs did return on the last page of the last Doom Patrol series teasing a return.
And Batman Who Laughs returned in the last DC/Fortnite one shot and they weren't sure how he returned but said fuck it and left him in the Fortnite loop.

36:00 That demon actually predates Vertigo by a few decades. Stanley and His Monster, great comedy feature DC used to have in the Silver Age, revived for a bit in the 90's (including a Constantine analogue), before being used by Kevin Smith in a really twisted way. Still, always fun to see some of my favorite more obscure Silver Age characters. Great video this week.

Justice league incarnate is such a interesting story and personally for me as a prequel for dark crisis it really didn't matter in the long run, but other then that the series itself was a good story as a whole and I just wished we got to see more of this team in a future story which would've been really awesome and badass in my opinion.
I like to imagine that Superman Prime got to the part where Calvin Ellis entered his universe and decided not to get involved because the plan was too convoluted
Personally I liked Dark Crisis, so I'm excited for our boys to cover it soon

Honestly ever since Morrison introduced the Marvel expy characters in Multiversity I've been hoping for some writer at DC to try and tackle their own Gruenwald-esque Squadron Supreme type of title. In a world where they couldn't do another DC/Marvel crossover I thought that would be the best alternative.

I can’t wait for you guys to do some of the newer books. Like Tom Taylor’s nightwing and titans (as a massive Nightwing nerd I can’t wait for you guys to do some of his books), Josh’s Superman, Spurriers Flash (I hope Tiffany hosts that one) and of course the Fall of X
the one sad thing about Tom Taylor's Titans run, is that everyone's expectation for that being the premiere team in replacing the justice league. almost everyone says that the run doesn't feel like the "premiere" team book. i feel like those fans, that say titans by tom taylor doesn't feel like the "premiere" team book, want the team to keep on dealing with world ending threats. wasn't that the issue of past justice league stories? that it's tiring to read about world ending threats to read another world ending threat. even though the first arc and by extension beast world, are looking at themselves more on a global scale. also Beast World is the best modern dc event, since death metal. in reading tom taylor's titans run, that run has the team actually act like a tight friend group that needs one another. at the same time, you want to see their adventures, big or small, and how they bounce off with one another in their interactions. with how playful they are to one another, you want to read more about them. almost all the justice league characters are islands to themselves that don't need one another to solve their own personal issues. the justice league has the air of superiority of being the icons, so writers have them act professionally and less of the playful banter between one another. the justice league clock in to their base to solve the big issues and clock out when it's done.
I'd love to see you guys do Multiversity just to see you guys lose your minds over it!

References: The Event is the most apt descriptor for this series, and I love it. This book was sheer niche reference p0rn, and I couldn’t have been more excited to read it. I wasn’t expecting anything more than what it delivered, which made it (alongside Infinite Frontier) my favorite recent DC “event” up to that point.

very important to read the good Captain Carrot series. funny but not silly 1980s dc. Characters from Earth C were part of the dc universe and each had a Whos who profile.
A mother box can transverse the multiverse. Apokolips exists outside the multiverse how else do they get to earth-0 and all the other earths.

I am not bashing the episode, I watch em all. I agree with a point you made a long time ago about how readers just don’t care about the Justice League like you think they would. I would rather read the leagues solo titles than all of them together, I don’t know why though. Morrison’s run is the only run I like.
i think the reason why justice league runs aren't interesting most of the time, is because the league don't act like actual friends; they act like work colleagues. so sometimes the writers write them like work colleagues and less like friends. in reading tom taylor's titans run, that run has the team actually act like a tight friend group that needs one another. at the same time, you want to see their adventures and how they bounce off with one another in their interactions. with how playful they are to one another, you want to read more about them. almost all the justice league characters are islands to themselves that don't need one another to solve their own personal issues. the justice league has the air of superiority of being the icons, so writers have them act professionally and less of the playful banter between one another.
