Please let me know if a finds a capable specialist for his condition, my iol lens has has dropped and floating in my eye 👁️ my lens bag also non-existent at this time. Good luck to you and thanks
My dad, 71 years old, recently had cataract surgery and the surgeon completely removed the capsule that would support the lens. He didn’t find out about this until he went to a lens specialist months later. It seems like the surgeon hid the fact they made a mistake or there were complications during the surgery and now he’s left with blurry vision. What are your thoughts about this? Does he have any options to fix this?
When there is no remaining capsule support, there are still many other options to implant a new lens, such as securing the lens implant to either the sclera or iris. Sometimes, it is worthwhile to consult with a cataract surgeon trained in complex repair work and has good experience with surgical techniques, such as the Yamane Intrascleral Haptic Fixation, to explore and discuss other options.
I had my posterior IOL dislodge recently and my surgeon said my only option was an anterior iris fixated replacement IOL … 3 months after my vision is still blurry and I get a lot of halos and glare so not a great result 😢
Scary. I’m glad I watched this AFTER I had my surgery.
Really explained what Posterior Capsule Rupture is and how it can be treated. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for your comment! Posterior Capture Rupture is a rare complication during cataract surgery, but thankfully it can be managed.
The most detailed explanation ever. Thank you for helping me to understand! New ophthalmo nurse here 🙆🏼♀️
My husband just had this happen to him. He will need more surgery

After cataract surgery I got a white spot on the iris and had burry and cloudy vision and was told I had scar tissue
Thanks for explaining this. That Uday Devgan channel doesn’t do a good job explaining it

Thank you for posting. Really interesting.
How soon after cataract surgery can a Yag Capsulotomy be done? and is there a risk of retinal detachment?
