Extremely helpful for me to get an understanding of what conditional command blocks actually do. That was the one modifier that I never really used, but now I see how helpful they can be.
People like you really deserve more support since you and the other youtubers that teach things are unappreciated by most people. This got me to find out so much more than before. I appreciate it
this was probably the cleanest command block tut ive seen posted in/under 2020. everyone else was ... understandable but not really understandable at the same time. at least this kid wasnt flipping his screen around every split second.
Very good explanation and I LOVE that you just started talking about the subject! No unrelated intro or long, rambling preamble! So many people babble for minutes before even getting to the subject. Thank you.
Honestly I saw a lot of command block tutorials explained by kids but NONE of them knew how to explain a single thing. But this one CommandGeek explains very very good even if he is a kid.
NICE! I just want to add: you can use a comparator like this. Put the comparator comparing the command block, if the command block is successful the comparator will send out a signal and the signal will not stop until the condition of the command block changes. Example usage: automatically open a door without the use of pressure plates or string.
3:34 Do you think its possible to make it so when you press the button, it clears your inventory (if there is items in it) but if there isn’t it says something like “You have no items in your inventory”?
YOU NAILED THIS TUTORIAL! like I thought I knew, but the way you taught us was effective and helped me out so much lol. You were precessional and very clear and precise about what they DO and what they DON'T DO and you really deserve more subs than I can give. I want you to teach other things like not to repeatedly tp something 1 block in any direction repeatedly. I haven't found any tutorials for it but I had trouble with that. Maybe it was just me being a noob but you just did great. Sorry for the book btw lol 💯
do you have any idea about how i can determine the winner in a battle? for example in my PvP map, when someone (a player) kills everyone and wins, what commands should i use to know which player won
For anyone who had a problem like me where the chain command block doesn't work you need to set the chain one to "always active". I hope this helped someone :)
Very helpful video! I've been trying to understand chain commands and conditionals to make a button puzzle, and this helped me understand better than other similar videos! Two questions: since it's possible to make an impluse command block appear as a conditional, can it ever actually be used as a conditional? If not, how come?
I am having trouble with lava not filling back into the area where my bridge lowers. I figured hey maybe a command block will do it so wondering if there is a command I need and what it is?
Can anyone help me? At 7:00, he shows how they are linked to the one before, and not just the first one. But that’s what I need to do, I need a bunch of conditional command blocks but only linked to the first block of the chain. Please help me and thank you
Usually yes, because when you make an inpulse or repeating command conditional, the mechanics get a little weird, I might have to make a video on that some time later :D
Question: When I have a command block that executes at this current entity. Lets say a horse. and I have a chain command block that sets a block of stone. Will the chain command block execute at itsself or at the horse.

Is it possible to setblock in a certain radius, but randomly- inside that radius Like if the command is triggered, a block would appear randomly inside of that radius, and each time it’s triggered, each block would appear randomly in that radius- if that makes sense
Very late, but maybe it'll help somebody else: Make the block redstone activated via the tab. Then put a redstone block next to the command block. Chain a command block that then destroys the previous redstone block. This is how a command that should run just once works.
I need help. I want a command block to give an effect but only as long as the player is in a certain area. I don't know how to do that. I'll try to figure it out in the meantime.
effect @a[r=(the number of blocks),y=(y of where the player is standing)] (effect) 1 (amplification) true/false the "r" stands for radius so you would put the command block in the middle, and a circle around it would give off the effect. example: effect @a[r=3,y=64] regeneration 1 255 true
Can someone help me, i made classes with conditional by making it track the score of the certain class which i did great. The problem is, the #5 command block that is chain and in conditional wont trigger and give the certain item.
Hello Geek.... I have a request or an issue. I need to start my UA-cam career and thing and there is a challenge I want and for that I would need commands. I have no idea how to do this and I also don't want to share what challenge I want (so that someone dosen't steal it hehe) can I contact you somewhere personally so that you can tell me the command or help me with this issue.

Well produced video. 👍 I appreciate your comprehensive explanation.
Never thought of using setblock as a T-flipflop for a conditional check. Thanks for the inspiration and this video.
For a command block noob and someone new to map making, you just saved me with this video. Thanks so much!

Hi commandgeek i really like youre tutorials thanks for that!
The 9 dislikes were probably people that didn’t watch the entire video and didn’t see the last step

basically the command block serves as an "if" and an "else"?

i wish i can see the codes inside the command blocks im new to command blocks
little help pls if i want a player to tp on nether as soon as he pick a dirt only first time how to make the command ?
Very late, but maybe it'll help somebody else:
Make the block redstone activated via the tab.
Then put a redstone block next to the command block.
Chain a command block that then destroys the previous redstone block. This is how a command that should run just once works.
I need help. I want a command block to give an effect but only as long as the player is in a certain area. I don't know how to do that. I'll try to figure it out in the meantime.
effect @a[r=(the number of blocks),y=(y of where the player is standing)] (effect) 1 (amplification) true/false
the "r" stands for radius so you would put the command block in the middle, and a circle around it would give off the effect.
example: effect @a[r=3,y=64] regeneration 1 255 true
That will only work in older versions. In 1.13+ the command is: /effect give @a[fistance=..5] EFFECT
I actually figured it out on my own, but thank you.
is this the same for bedrock?
Does this still apply to bedrock?
Chain blocks don't work and I don't know why
