So basically the command block will be testing it's query/target which in this case is the closest player to the command block, while the r=3 is telling the radius of the trigger for the command block to test the target. However, just personally (probably, maybe even most certainly, not everyone) my thought when I see 'no mods' type of thing, I think it's doable in survival, where no command blocks can be used. To me (again, same caveat) command blocks are a way to 'mod' the game in effect, as they change the basic behaviors inherent to survival (the base game code), kind of a reprogramming of sorts, thus 'modification'. I love playing around in creative, but if I am looking for cool ideas and such to do in survival, I look for 'no mods' as one of the key phrases, because mods, creative, etc, turns off achievements, which are very important to a lot of my friends. Saying all of that... do you think there is a way to modify this build to use sculk sensors instead? I have been trying to work with them, but the locations are really tricky since the proximity of the moving items (glass door for yours, stairs for mine currently) can RE-trigger the sensors causing the malfunction sliding glass doors we sometimes see in real life! lol Just opening and closing over and over. So, looking to see what you might be able to achieve with sensors instead of using other methods?

It took me 4 hours and I thought I failed but then I read the comments and it helped me fix my problem! In case this helps anyone else my problem was that the door wasn't opening and closing, I discovered that it was because the 2 back command blocks needed to be on impulse and needs Redstone and the front 2 on chain and always active also if you can't get the Redstone torch on the command block crouch! If you are thinking it didn't work for you because you are on xbox that's not true lol I thought the same until I got mine to work! I hope I helped some people!

Okay. For super newbies like me, who just started playing Minecraft mobile a minute ago, I did type and entered the correct key for a command block (7:30) but couldn't find it. I just figured it's in my inventory rather than the nine-slot bar below the screen. - When placing the second command block facing towards you (8:54) move further away to induce the arrow facing towards you rather than a central-round shape thingy on top. - Same thing as above, (9:13) I moved further away but still a central-round shape so I moved a little bit to the left when I put the block and whatever I did, it just magically popped the arrow facing towards me. - Also, is it possible to zoom the screen in and out as well as look at the whole character like at 11:20- 11:30 on mobile app? If so, how do I do it? Ohmygosh an hour and a half after, (18:23 - 18:30) I have the exact same reaction! oHh yEaHH I am so happy it worked for me that I just keep ramming onto the door like a bull unli times. So first, this is a great build. I am using 8 of them (at least) in my airport as I am starting a city but at my airport main entry, there is 4 on the bottom floor and 4 on the top but when I entered the 3rd command for the 1st on the top (the 4 on the bottom were completed normally) the door worked perfectly. Why is that? Did I make a mistake that makes it work easier?
or you could use the traditional 2x2 or 3x2 piston door trick and instead of using pressure plates just use a tripwire and link up all the redstone and it is 10000% easier and you dont have to spawn in a command block in survival

This works on java, just change the syntax to the java versions
