Would be possible to attach a Clover leak antenna to the WiFi transmitter on a MJX Bugs B2w. All the range test on the WiFi signal is low compared to how the quad will fly. Maybe you could do a video on it, I’m sure a lot of you viewers own the Bugs B2w and would be interested.

I think you are confused with the Splash Drone 3.
The Spry is much smaller. I would thing something around 100 grams
Great video Dustin, I'm tempted in getting one of these but I'm a bit wary of putting money into Kickstarter products in case they fail. Have you had any experience with these types of products and do you know if there is any risks involved in funding these?

Nice looking quad. I think I'd call that splash proof not waterproof. What level of water protection do they quote?

I'll look forward to seeing it. I worked in electrical & controls engineering and have a mistrust of anything that isn't British or American that does not have IP65 stamped on it.

I wanna see you fly this in the rain and get some cool footage!! You have lots of low lying clouds a lot there. Was wondering if you could do a vid with the Mavic above the clouds? Or maybe go up the mountain/volcano? 👍👍

I’m happy to see stuff like this. I’ve been wanting to get a drone for awhile. But due to me and my wife struggling it’s a pain. We can’t afford something like this or a DJI it’s upsetting. Anyways great vid.

HI DUSTIN, GREAT VIDEO HOWEVER CAN YOU POST SOMETHING ABOUT HOW TO DO THE UPGRADE OF THE SOFTWARE. I TRIED TO CONNECT VIA THE DRONE USB TO THE COMPUTER BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. PROBABLY I'M MISSING SOMETHING. MAYBE I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION OR PROGRAM IN THE COMPUTER AND THEN IT WILL RECONNAISE/CONNECT TO THE DRONE. ALSO, IT APPEARS THAT ONCE YOU ACTIVATE THE WIFI ( SMALL BUTTON ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DRONE ) IT WON'T GO BACK TO NORMAL OPS. PLEASE HELP. THANK IN ADVANCE.

Instructions are not finished yet. You can also adjust range limit in software.
I'd rather get the swellpro splash drone 3. This drone is nice, but it doesn't have stabilization.

What a pain to use 2 separate controllers, and you cannot change anything in the controller? Really? In this age of tech. Ok it’s waterproof so what? Not sure where this fits in the community. Maybe racing in the rain?
Since this is analog fpv for best video latency which is important for race drones, I'm ok with how it's setup. Now, their splashdrone camera/fishing platform needs an update with WiFi tech similar to DJI or Autel. Many possibilities with SPRY besides flying in the rain.

Yes and they are implementing electronic digital stabilization you can turn on or off.
@@DustinDunnill any possibilities to fly without the remote control and fly autonomous ? I really hope there will be a tracker like other action drone such as airdog or staaker. Because if it does, then this is the ultimate drone for water activities.
You can connect your phone or tablet to the controller WiFi and fly missions with "Swellpro SPRY" app. Take a look at the app description in the app store 👍

Going to complain now. I, being a selfish bastard, loved the three part videos from the early days. Showin my subscription age now. Why? Cause I dont care, if u say it flies well and does as advertised I believe. Hence my addiction to my Hubsan I think 507, only 720p but after your long range flight I ordered 2 min later.

sry to say, but you have got some serious misinformation, its not like the entire thing is dying because antenna or motor gets water on it. water is not leading enough electricity to short circuits in much larger things than microchips. that is why the old nokiaphones were so wateresistant, the circuits are not small enough

Why would you need six satellites for positioning?
If satellites existed it should only take one two maybe for when one is one the otherside of the earth😂 you have to have six land signal towers. For the most accurate positioning. GPS stands for ground positioning signal😐🙃
