Thanks for a good video showing how the fishing attachment works, helped me a lot. FYI you don't have to calibrate it every time you fly, general rule is if you haven't flown in a couple months, if you drive a stretch more than 100-125 miles away (200km, to make it easier, I do wish my fellow Yanks would get on with it and switch to the metric system already) or obviously if the drone is acting up, and not hovering or returning to home properly.
I've heard some people say that it's actually bad to calibrate it every time, but I've been flying and building drones for over a decade of all shapes n sizes, and I've never seen one fail from "over calibrating" so if you feel better doing it that way, go for it, I just wanted to let you know despite what the manufacturers say, it's not always necessary to do the calibration dance as I call it. Whats the payload max? Hows the warranty? Do you do warranty?

Recommended 300g. One year warranty, which is through the NZ distributor who carries out all repairs.

I got a great deal on mine on Ebay, but if it's used, make sure you talk to the owner, ask what kind of water he/she flew it in, did they care for it afterward if it was saltwater, see if they'll live stream or send you a short clip of them hovering it, and make sure it's not all banged up. I've had mine for over a year, and they're really hard to scuff up or put deep scratches in, so if looks beat to heck, pass on it. But I got mine for almost a 3rd of what they went for new one.
The battery is the only thing that sucks. I mean they are decent batteries but they're proprietary, meaning the way they connect to the drone is unique and they have a chip built in that recognizes it's an authentic swellpro made battery, so instead of being able to buy the same exact size battery in standard RC lipo battery, for like 3 for $50-$60(US) the swellpro battery is anywhere from $65 -$80(US) just for one battery. Sometimes if your lucky the seller will be selling it with 2-4 batteries. But if you can live with that, it's an excellent drone, even if you can find one brand new, it's worth it, besides it's older and bigger brother, it's the best waterproof drone on the market.

It is just a simple tension release. When the drone is out as far as you want, keep the drone flying forward but stop the line unspooling from your reel
