Got an idea for a new video : "how to recharge your A/C correctly ( and what not to do )" I think you explain things well ... although there are many videos on this topic, I bet your video would be better than many of the others .. .. .. 👍
Thank you kind sir for your excellent video. Near the end of the video, you mentioned you were going to compare chain lengths but didn't say if the chain had stretched. Just wondering if there was any significant difference or if it was just the tensioner?
Good question. I'm still trying to make repairs on mine. It has some other engine noises that are concerning. The information on this car is so limited! And parts are hard to find too. Best of luck with your repair.
How many miles does the engine have? And, can you get the valve cover off without having to remove everything you did up to that point. I don't know if my noise is coming from the timing, but id like to be able to rule it out if it's not to much work. My mechanic skills are rather basic.
Great Question. Yes you can remove the valve cover fairly easily without dealing with the timing chain cover. It may be a little hard to see the lower timing chain as you will have limited access. But its worth a try. There is another youtube video out there on only the valve cover. Best of luck with your repair!

You use mud for oil in that motor?
A really great video thanks. I'm sure I have the same issue. What do you think the root cause of the problem was? Stretched timing chain or tensioner?

It's the tensioner! I didn't replace mine but we changed the belt! It's just noisy at idle and works fine! I will replace it when it fails!

Have you figured it out? There are a couple SX4 groups on FB. It may be worth taking a video of the sound and posting it there.
Hi, how frequently go you change the oil?
Just like most cars....every 3-5k miles
Change mine 5000kms full synthetic
I think this is the problem in my car. going to take it back to the mechanic tomorrow.
Was that it?
