Was at FLW from Oct. 74 to Feb 75 for basic and AIT. Combat Engineers. No women anywhere. Push ups and running. We ran everywhere no matter the distance or weather. Every time a truck convoy passed us we just dreamed about getting a ride. Don't know if I would have qualified for jump school in everything but we sure had the running part down. None of this looks familiar now. I'm sure everything is continually updated. Makes me want to do it again. Maybe in the next life......

We were his last cycle before going back to the regular Army. Never thought I'd say it, but I miss my old cadre sometimes, the bunch of crazy bastards they were.
I am enlisting in two years from now, I am currently in Military School right now in a Post-Graduate year, I will be going 31B Military Police as well. Might see you there if you are going to be going in by the end of 2022 through 2023.

There in Sept 2003, graduated, and was a hold-over for a month. Best times was getting smoked in that football field sized pit of cut up tire rubber in a downpour of rain b/c some stupid female moved a loc of hair out of her face at the position of attention, after getting smoked in the DayRoom for an hour. I was 33 years old and those damn 18 and 19 year olds were crying for days. We got all four seasons in one day, and DAMN did it get cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I left FLW, I WAS UNBREAKABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The army is a joke. I’m stationed here rn and I watch their Bootcamp all the time. They have no discipline, no traditions they follow. They are garbage. No intensity, no actual challenge. They don’t earn anything. They don’t take pride in the uniform they wear. Everything is given to them. Even rank. When I was a recruit I had to earn the rank of private. I had to earn my title as a marine. My drill instructors used to hit me. They get god damn stress cards, u think you’ll have that in combat? No. We are more combat ready they they are. Sad part is that they have way more money then we do, more new equipment. Yet we marines do more with less. We don’t rely on computers and such to get from point A to B. We are always the first to deploy because we are always training. Always combat ready.
