I'm a mail carrier, and a mail receptacle is supposed to hold an average day's mail. That's the rule. If you get a lot of parcels, you'll have to make other arrangements.

By leaving packages in the mail box means that porch pirates will not have to go to the porch anymore. How convenient it will be for them.

The only reason I still have my mailbox is I don’t want to pay for a PO Box to receive junk mail since I stopped having paper bills delivered in 2009. As for packages most of mine are left on my porch from amazon. If a USPS package is sent if it’s small enough they stick in my mailbox or if it’s a large package they just drop it off on my porch.

It’s a recommendation. That’s what the letter says. Did this reporter read this letter? Did the customer?

Unless you're a non tax paying welfare recipient, you will be paying for it either way.

It costs us 1,000 plus I'm my personal vehicle repairs as a rural carrier but 600 won't replace an entire engine. Entitlement is the issue. If y'all got yelled at by supervisors on an abusive level stuff like this will happen. It's a very abusive environment with customers and supervisors stopping us from doing the right things because their excuse is they wanna go home. They become supervisors from carriers and they always complain about it as if they were forced. It's a hostile environment and no one will stand up to the USPS because they've got so much money hungry higher ups that they won't stop until they've penny pincher every last dollar to line their pockets. If my identity was revealed here I'd lose my job. Let's add that the county isn't doing anything about the dirt roads which put alot of damages on our vehicles and if I don't have a vehicle I can't deliver mail. Our supervisors always harass us by telling us to "hurry up and finish" and they play lots of favoritism. Let's add another thing. The post office deliberately threaten us our jobs, gets alot of carrier's pay checks wrong and they basically tell us to speed and break traffic laws. They also don't treat veterans well at certain offices as I am a veteran and they consistently expect me to give up my personal time and work, work, work and when I can't work, they will threaten me. It's a sad world we live in when the higher ups basically tell us that they don't wanna pay us alot when it's not the carrier's faults that the Post Office is in debt. Wanna know why? It's because they all up on top line their pockets up with the money that they should pay us to help alleviate some of the issues like inflation as I pay 300 dollars for groceries that last me a week, I live in an RV for a home because the pay isn't enough even with 80 hours since I'm paying 1200 in vehicle payments, repairs, and the extra 300 in gas's every two weeks on my work vehicle and our personal vehicles since we don't get alot of off time to get a vehicle less expensive which forces us to purchase the vehicles that are quick to grab. There's alot more but that's all the top of the iceberg.
Enjoy this info and of course proof is hard to get when the organization watches us like a hawk and threatens our jobs if we speak up or retaliate with cutting hours so we won't have enough for the month they do that. If you wanna trust me, I would love that as a veteran I definitely try to stay as close to the truth because I hate lying and liars...
    Good day you guys ❤️

I just got hired thru my trucking company as a subcontractor delivering for USPS. I don't like the environment of the main facility I go to to pick up the bulk mail I deliver to about 8 rural post offices. Everyone seems selfish and unhappy.

We have too much government in this country who makes money if you pay to buy those mailboxes at twice the price? Government fears large groups and we all need to get together on each one of these kind of issues

The Postal Service only started having system wide delivery problems when all the Real Postmen started retiring in the early 2000's
and this new bunch is not as good and I know you already know it

They retired because they got tired of all the packages especially Amazon packages. Mail carriers today are more like parcel carriers than mailmen. And the fact that usps prioritizes Amazon packages over mail proves that. Lastly upper management is using all kinds of new metrics and determine how long a route should take but they always measure in perfect condition and not in reality so new people are being pressured to move faster and faster which is causing customer service to nose drive

@@abes3925I couldn’t have said it better as a current carrier myself.
