You and Doug Demuro are quite literally the whole reason I have my xjs. You, Tom Walkinshaw, and Julian Griggs, are huge inspirations for my own build. Thank you for sharing what you do, keep up the good work!
That JRA Walkinsaw XJS!!!! there's something about the sound that just jingles the nerve endings in your spine. Its unreal. Just the best sounding engine ever
The Jaguar V12 has a totally unique sound. Evident here on your video...and when I've got to the track to watch the historics...you know when one's hurtling towards you before you see it. Completely different pitch to any other engine especially in race tune. They"re like a screaming banshee.
I think that's because they're a specialist racing engine designed in the 50s for either the D type or F type racer resurrected in the early 70s put in XJ & E type along with the Daimler to add more prestige to the marque very complicated engine you have to know what your doing a lot of mechanics won't touch them
1. F-Type did not exist before 2014 2. The V12 is from the XJR-5 race car, but the original version of the motor comes from the late E-Type production cars (1971-1974)
Stoked you included the TWR Jaguars. in particular No.10 - the 1985 Bathurst winner. They screamed arount Mount Panorama. Tom Walkinshaw was a visionary.
@@evanoldaker3984 That’s the sad thing about simple and crude American engineering: all it takes for a European car to smoke the shit out of a turbo’d American V8 muscle car is a naturally aspirated engine making 400bhp. It’s sad really… in all honesty, a physical horsepower number means absolutely nothing. And sure, American cars are neat and loud, but try taking them off the drag strip and through a hill climb track… they get blown away by a little 300bhp 6-cylinder 😂
@@brianmorecombe2726 Exactly. They can’t work on any car with any sort of actual engineering and features. Let them work on their simple covered pioneer wagons and we’ll keep the Jags!
I never knew an XJS could sound THAT good, much less make any noise at all. I want one yesterday.
My XJS the Black Pearl at the end 🙂

Why has no one commented on these fantastic sound tracks. The best ring tone ever.👍👍👍👍👍👍

My dream is to drive something like this up through Glen Coe. Nothing but me, that sound and that scenery!

From an italian passionate of v12 Jaguar: absolutely orgasmic!

1:06 in - unreal sound
My xjs is 40 years old now and still has both original exhausts. Am tempted to get the Simply Performance exhaust for it 😊

Massive difference between the level of the PRE HE and HE
And everyone in America calls these cars “Shit” and wants to pull the V12 in favor of a Chevy LS engine or small block Chevrolet engine 🙄
They love a Ferrari V12 but not the Jaguar V12? They're nuts!
Because this v12 can’t make 1000hp with just a turbo

Theyve got simple mechanics who havent a scooby how to service them.

0:17 - XJ-S on Steelies! Looks good!
Love my Jag V12!
3.6 manual with sportspack👌
That first one is like a Merlin
Why did all the Lucas Electric components XJS start up on first go???
3:00 I've got an unused clutch friction plate for a 5.3 manual if anyone needs it!
That downshift 👌
Not putting no Chevy engine in my Jaguar. The sound of that V12 by far outrates any Chev motor
