    The Netherlands.
    M/S British troops climbing into tank. L/S line of tanks on road. C/U from behind of a soldier shooting out of a window. Various shots of others running through the streets. Two soldiers kick open a door and fire their guns before going inside. M/S infantry walking down street past signpost, 'Roermond' is in one direction. M/S driving past large bombed building. L/S as dog runs down bombed street. Various shots soldiers advancing through field. C/U man giving instructions through microphone. General shots of infantry on the move. C/U soldiers in trench smiling, others walk across field. M/S others crouching in snow covered ditch with guns.
    L/S flail tanks in action clearing mines. Pan across snow covered field to army vehicles. Various shots British infantry advancing. L/S aeroplanes flying overhead. M/S as German prisoners are marched along road with hands on heads. Various shots infantry marching down road.
    Various shots group of British soldiers sat around a fire outside a windmill in the snow, they have some local children with them. M/S showing them all singing, camera pans up to someone writing 'Merry Xmas' on the windmill. C/U soldier shouting "Come and Get it!" Pan to the soldiers running for their Christmas dinners. They sit down and the food is dished out, there are also bottles of champagne on the table. M/S as soldier opens one and pours it out spilling it on one of the local boy's heads as he does so. Various shots as they eat Christmas cake. Various shots of them laughing and enjoying the party, pan up to windmill.
